On my PS5 my current My Ballplayer is a 6'2' 215 center Fielder from NJ and that is what he is on my Diamond Dynasty Team on PS5.
On the website theshow.com under the mlb21.theshow.com/squads
He is listed as a 6'1" 213 Catcher from California. why they don't match I have no clue
I did send in a support ticket but i don't really expect an answer. I sent two in May that were never answered. maybe they think answering support tickets is beneath them
Anyway I have to clue how to fix this
They even ask shortly after that those are the three you want. You can select new pitches during training right away. After you get the pitches you like (even up to five) and you can restart and still have access with all five of the pitches you selected. I did that so I could start off with a SP with 5 pitches instead of 3.
That's what I was able to do for the first pitcher I made when the game first came out. But for the closing pitcher I made I was never asked and now for this pitcher I was never asked.
So now after years of being able to choose what pitches you want for your pitcher Starter or Closer. You can no longer choose what pitches you want. You have to use the pitches provided. Why they did that God only knows.
I understand you can change the pitches in the bullpen when and if the pitch you want shows up in the spot it you want it 12345. Until then your stuck with the pitches they start you out with
I don't want to have to do that maybe no one else wants to either. What was wrong with you picking the pitches you wanted to use when you made your pitcher. NOTHING there was nothing wrong with that

Just looked it up the definition of the words it was not what was meant for my post. It was meant to call them Lazy and uncaring They used to be so much better than that

Does anyone know if they answer support tickets. I send one when the game first came out took almost 4 weeks to answer. Sent another one that was never answered. Send one three days still haven't heard back. Shows they don't care.
Also did you notice when you send them a support ticket they'll send you an email saying it could take up to 5 weeks for a reply. What the heck is that. Support tickets should be answered in a 24-48 hours time period the quicker the better
Also do they even check the forum for any issues
I have my player on bronze spark plug finished the Diamond dynasty Missions for the bronze spark plug. but the Road to the show missions are not moving
I have no clue what to do I'm stuck on 66 earned.
I've made a half a dozen my ballplayers and now on this one I get this BS. The road to the show missions was counting up to 12 earned then it just stopped
So I did go into DD and made sure my player was there played a game and got progress from DD and it went up to 19 earned. went to road to the show played one game and got progress it now said and still says 22 earned
After that one road to the show game I played a bunch more. Went to check the progress it was still on 22 earned
Also every time I check my progress it moves my equipment around
I currently have a short stop with 78 fielding and going up. He has no problem with ground balls and pop ups to his general area. But going to the right or left or even forward to get a slow rolling grounder He won't go past two steps and he wont' bend down for the ground ball . Even when the ball is by his feet. If a ball is hit more than 2 feet away in any direction . It's like He hits a wall even while I'm pushing the left stick in the direction of the ball I don't get it
I usually have no problem fielding and actually like it but this is crazy

You have to play 1 game as a pitcher then the next 2 games as a position player then your agent will ask you if you like your current role that is when you can choose to continue as a two way or be just a pitcher or just a position player
And after you tell your agent you only want to be a hitter playing a position. or that you only want to pitch as a starter or as a closer. You will be asked a couple more times by The manager.

When I first started the game I made a LF, had him on my Diamond Dynasty squad, everything worked well.
Since then Ive started several new RTTS players but my Ballplayer card in diamond dynasty is still the LF.I've deleted all my Road To The Show files and my ballplayer files that I saw and I deleted the loadouts. There is one that I used a couple times My first My Ballplayer was a LF then I made a 2B, Then a closer now a CF
What I did was when I wanted to add the Center fielder I went into Diamond Dynasty then went to my ballplayer and activated him. But he was not showing. Then I looked in DD and saw that my closing pitcher was still there.
So in Diamond Dynasty in Manage your squad I clicked on Squad options
Then I clicked on Generate best squad. That knocked out my closing pitcher and allowed me to add my current my ballplayer my Center fielder
I made a closing pitcher When the manager asked me about being a two way player I said Do I have to. Then he said just try it for a few games Yada Yada Yada.
Now we get to the Agent scene my agent asked about it. And choose the I only want to pitch option He asked Starter I replied No Closer
So everything was fine my player was a closer went through Double A was called up to triple A in July then to the majors shortly after all just pitching
Then toward the end of the first season my player was changed into a two way player . I was not asked if I wanted to to that It was just changed
I created a closing pitcher put him in Road to the show. Of course they ask you if you want to be a two way player I said no. So then instead asking me at this point if I want to pitch )then it would be asking if I want to be a starter or a closer). And what pitches I wanted to use Or if I wanted to be a position player and what position. That's what they should have done. Instead of forcing you to pitch a game if you only want to be a position player or the play a game at a postion if you only want to be a pitcher.
Anyway as I said I made a closing pitcher and was never asked what pitches I wanted to throw. It hppened for the starting pitcher a made a few weeks ago
Great post totally agree with you about being able to contact your Agent. It was something you used to be able to do. Hate that you have to wait the one two times a year they contact you. And like yourself I am also an older MLB the show player (59). Been at it since day 1

I did the 42 conquest map 3 times. Where on the map do they want me to steal 3 million fans to get the cleats. .

What the heck do I have to do to get the Jackie Robinson Griffey 1 Metal Cleats. I've completed the 42 conquest Map 3 time. One time I played the conquest game on All Star and won. I got the Jackie Robinson Socks. Bat Grip, 3 of the 4 bats and some packs. But I can't get those [censored] cleatsand I want those cleats
I'm not sure how it works with games crashing being disconnected. But for websites if a website is getting lots of traffic and it keeps crashing they increase the size of the servers to be able to handle the extra traffic. Wouldn't there be something similar for games
The makers of MLB The Show 21 Sony San Diego Studio have claimed that they made the game the way we wanted it
I'm sorry that's a bunch of bull. I can't imagine that there were a lot of hardcore Diamond Dynasty Player or Hardcore Road to the Show players who asked for DD and RTTS to be tied in together
You have your diamond dynasty players who have no interest in road to the show. And you have your road to the show players who have no interest in diamond dynasty
But these people at Sony San Diego Studio decided that they and they alone know whats best
This used to be a fun game. Then a few years ago they added archetypes. and worse than that the stupid challenges that come up in road to the show games
If anything this year they should have gotten rid of those. I had one today as a Starting Pitcher. there was 2 outs the other team had runners on 2nd and 3rd. The challenge was to Strike Out Batter to end inning without run scoring
I didn't get the strike out The batter weakly poped out to second
For MLB the show 20 I had one that said get a hit to advance the runners. My player was intentionally walked. You would think it would say canceled challenge or give me credit for what was done the runners advanced. But no it said challenge failed WTF
