You can get out of having to play the two-way role. Once you get drafted by a team either randomly or one you pick. You will be asked about it . At this point you won't really be given a choice. You will play a couple games in the field and then you will pitch a game. After that game you will be asked if you want to continue as a dual player or if you just want to pitch or play n the field. I said play in the field Left Field Dodgers.

I m no longer in the Pitching Rotation but it still has starting pitcher has my secondary position which pisses me off. I did send a support ticket about that. yes I think the Universal player is idiotic. You should be able to create individual players for each road to the show series. There are many things wrong with this game.

They keep saying they made the game the way the community wanted it. I say horse hockey to that. If they did then why are there so many complaints

Like they have it so that if you use sliders you don't get XP I wonder how many people asked for that. Probably not that much. It was something added because they wanted to add it

The makers of MLB The Show 21 Sony San Diego Studio have claimed that they made the game the way we wanted it

I'm sorry that's a bunch of bull. I can't imagine that there were a lot of hardcore Diamond Dynasty Player or Hardcore Road to the Show players who asked for DD and RTTS to be tied in together

You have your diamond dynasty players who have no interest in road to the show. And you have your road to the show players who have no interest in diamond dynasty

But these people at Sony San Diego Studio decided that they and they alone know whats best

This used to be a fun game. Then a few years ago they added archetypes. and worse than that the stupid challenges that come up in road to the show games

If anything this year they should have gotten rid of those. I had one today as a Starting Pitcher. there was 2 outs the other team had runners on 2nd and 3rd. The challenge was to Strike Out Batter to end inning without run scoring

I didn't get the strike out The batter weakly poped out to second

For MLB the show 20 I had one that said get a hit to advance the runners. My player was intentionally walked. You would think it would say canceled challenge or give me credit for what was done the runners advanced. But no it said challenge failed WTF

I had the same problem with equipment I couldn't figure out how to equip it. But here's on Go to Your Road to the show player. Click on your My Player. then click on My BallPlayer then click player loadout. There will be a picture of your created player you can assign your purchased equipment there

Was I the ONE who used sliders. I doubt very seriously out of the all the people who play this game That I am the only person who has ever used sliders. There are pages of sliders uploaded by members of the community in the vault

So now after years of being able to choose what pitches you want for your pitcher Starter or Closer. You can no longer choose what pitches you want. You have to use the pitches provided. Why they did that God only knows.

I understand you can change the pitches in the bullpen when and if the pitch you want shows up in the spot it you want it 12345. Until then your stuck with the pitches they start you out with

I don't want to have to do that maybe no one else wants to either. What was wrong with you picking the pitches you wanted to use when you made your pitcher. NOTHING there was nothing wrong with that

Great post totally agree with you about being able to contact your Agent. It was something you used to be able to do. Hate that you have to wait the one two times a year they contact you. And like yourself I am also an older MLB the show player (59). Been at it since day 1

Why the hell is the equipment priced so High. I'm not talking about the community Market. I've been playing this game for a long time and I've never seen it price this high. What are you taking tips from 2k and turning MLB The Show into a cash grab

On my PS5 my current My Ballplayer is a 6'2' 215 center Fielder from NJ and that is what he is on my Diamond Dynasty Team on PS5.

On the website theshow.com under the mlb21.theshow.com/squads
He is listed as a 6'1" 213 Catcher from California. why they don't match I have no clue

I did send in a support ticket but i don't really expect an answer. I sent two in May that were never answered. maybe they think answering support tickets is beneath them

I created a closing pitcher put him in Road to the show. Of course they ask you if you want to be a two way player I said no. So then instead asking me at this point if I want to pitch )then it would be asking if I want to be a starter or a closer). And what pitches I wanted to use Or if I wanted to be a position player and what position. That's what they should have done. Instead of forcing you to pitch a game if you only want to be a position player or the play a game at a postion if you only want to be a pitcher.

Anyway as I said I made a closing pitcher and was never asked what pitches I wanted to throw. It hppened for the starting pitcher a made a few weeks ago

Well then it needs to be regulated.

There is one that I used a couple times My first My Ballplayer was a LF then I made a 2B, Then a closer now a CF

What I did was when I wanted to add the Center fielder I went into Diamond Dynasty then went to my ballplayer and activated him. But he was not showing. Then I looked in DD and saw that my closing pitcher was still there.

So in Diamond Dynasty in Manage your squad I clicked on Squad options
Then I clicked on Generate best squad. That knocked out my closing pitcher and allowed me to add my current my ballplayer my Center fielder
