Can confirm that all those players are in the lefty booster pack from mini seasons.

You probably already know this but just in case you don’t, for the showdown boss battles or whatever they are called you can stack your lineup with your best hitters. Defensive position means nothing. Put Nelson Cruz at ss or catcher, it will allow you to do so. Also just keep drafting hitters besides one silver sp and one silver rp. Draft the best hitter available each round as like I said defense isn’t a consideration in the battles. Also stack your lineup with lefties if facing a righty or the other way around.

I’m seeing tons of negative comments about showdown. Everyone seems to be complaining about it being too hard, and saying it shouldn’t cost stubs. I have no issue with the cost, you get rewards if you do well enough, so to risk some stubs is fine. I would be fine if eventually there were showdowns that cost more and had better rewards.
As far as the difficulty, I’m loving it. I actually had to try to beat the 1st inning showdown. I had to do it I think like 4 maybe 5 times. It made it a fun challenge. Why does everyone want things to be easy, then it’s just mindless grinding. I’m one who really enjoyed conquest extreme and moments extreme, I love a good challenge. I just wanted to put a positive post up about showdown so SDS can see that at least someone likes it. I hope they don’t give in to all the people saying it needs to be easier. -
I was playing an event game last night. As soon as the game started a guy tried to get me to join a party chat. I of course ignored it but he then just started messaging me. It wasn’t even the guy I was playing but his buddy. The message said his buddy was 11-1 please let him win. This guy then sent the message “plz” over and over and over, as fast as he could type it, for the whole rest of the game until his buddy quit. It was obviously a plan between the two of them before the game even started to distract his opponent. I know you can turn messages off or block people, but I had never done it, and honestly did not even know how. And it wasn’t something I wanted to try to figure out with limited pause time. It was very annoying and distracting to have messages popping up every 2-3 seconds, luckily I still won. Anyway, I wanted to report the 2 guys to SDS and PlayStation but was unsure how to do so. I sent a chat on this site to Victor@sds, is that how to report players? Anybody else have this happen to them?

I see people are having plenty of problems with the game this year. I have been lucky I guess, haven’t had many issues, far fewer server issues than any year I have played. Only two problems I have had are mini seasons won’t work. It’s hard to even get a game to start in mini seasons and then wins count as losses. I can deal with that problem, just won’t play mini seasons until I hear it’s fixed. But every year in the show if you select your stadium when going into an online game, the next online game you go into will start the selector on that stadium, meaning if you wanted a consistent home stadium it was always there as your first choice. Now every single game you have to search through every stadium unless you want Houston, and please nobody pick Houston.

I believe the double trouble mission is to ground into 3 double plays in the same game. I have only managed to ground into 2 in one game so far so not 100 percent yet. I can say that getting doubled up on fly balls or line drives does not work. Has to say gidp in the box score. That’s hard to do in a 3 inning game though.

I agree, and since SDS does seem to listen to what its players want, I hope they see this. DD is at its base a card collecting mode. The live series collection has always been such a big part of the game. If you were no money spent, you would have to really grind to complete it. Along the way you would get the team rewards, the division rewards, league rewards, and mlb reward. I am very happy to see power creep back in the game this year as this allows building up your team slowly, and allows some of the lesser legends they have acquired shine such as Adam Dunn or Paul O’Neil. Also this provides an opportunity to make the live series collection more important as there are less elite cards out there. But this year the rewards for the live series collection are the worst we have ever seen. How many of the team collection rewards are going to make anyone’s teams even right now at the beginning of the season? They are all pretty useless, and on top of that they took away division rewards. It just kind of ruins what to me was one of the funnest parts of the game.
How can I acquire these 4 cards at launch without buying?
Just cant finish that 1st inning showdown
Loving showdown
Messages during a game
Why doesn’t your preferred stadium save?
Mini season lefty loosey mystery missions?
Collection rewards
