After all the things that I read about like the game freezing and other problems I decided to hold off buying the game. I have XBox One and I can only get the game via download, no disc available. I don't want to put out $70 for software that doesn't function properly. I doubt they have fix the base running either, you know like the player on 1st that dives back to first on a line drive single to center field. Why is it that sofware engineers don't debug the program before they sell it?
Just saying

I like moving players from AAA to the majors and back depending on the player's performance. I've already sent a ineffective starter after his third start not getting past 4 1/3 innings and a very bad ERA. Bringing in a AAA starter who is doing better.
-
Red_Ted; Thanks so much, I was able to send a starting pitcher to AAA that never got past 4 innings and had a ERA you'd need a calculator for and promoted a lefty AAA pitcher. Really appreciate your help. Its the only thing I really didn't like playing my Franchise now I can move players. Have a great day

"That’s because the 2 rosters are independent of each other. Any changes to a franchise roster once you start a franchise have to be made while you are inside your franchise file. Changing anything under the create tab just changes that particular roster file. That’s pretty standard on any sport console game."
Okay then explain where in Franchise mod I can call up a player from AAA to the Majors and send one from the Majors down to AAA. No place in Franchise mode is that available unless its buried someplace in the program. Ya, you can change the lineup but only with the players shown in the first place. -

Yes, that is automatic but try calling up some player from AAA and see what happens. Even when you exit the 'Create' section saving the change correctly it still doesn't change the players in the Franchise that was already in progress. If this program were coded correctly the new file should write over the old file. Basic programming 101 and yet it doesn't which means they didn't program the code to do it or we'd get an error code like 'can't execute" or something. Like I said before, in my opinion this part of the program is poorly written and not user friendly.

Kind of sensitive button isn’t it? No too realistic.

Yes, I downloaded a roster. Restarted my Franchise anew and was able to edit later and save it, but it still will not change any players in the Franchise mode after I started it with the downloaded roster from this morning. I don't think its possible to change any players once it has started the Franchise. I did have a pitcher injury in my second game put him on the 15 day DL and after that it rearranged my starting rotation and added a minor league AAA rated CF. Go figure? It will be interesting when my pitcher gets off the DL to see what happens next. I'm unable to chose replacements off the 40 man roster, the program does it. Don't get it yet. I was in IT for 27 years before I retired in 2010 and could program in Basic and C Language in the late 80's So I can say that I think this is a terribly designed program for the rosters. If you ever had EA Sports MLB or 2K Sports MLB you know what I mean.

Okay I figured it out, moving the right joy stick gets to the minor leagues. Now I saved the updated roster but it made no changes in my Franchise roster that I'm currently playing. So how does that work? It seems like the program choses players from the 40 man roster without MLB AAA, AA, or A status. Wouldn't it be nice if that had a help screen or instructions? Na, figure out yourself.

Okay, I have Xbox One. I go to manage my 40 man roster. I move a player from AAA to MLB and visa versa. I get "invalid" Xs in the first two circles in the lineup part. I go into MLB line up correct the line up. Exit now one X in the middle circle. I go back into lineups but no where can I find how to get to th AAA batting line up. Its not on the bottom of the page as suggested because the PS version is. Anybody ? Help.!!
-
Once stating my Franchise I can only use the players that I started with: on the main screen up at the top “ create” I go into manage rosters and there is a 40 man roster and I want to move players to replace some of them but can’t figure out how?
-
Thanks, I’ll look into it. Any suggestions are welcome.
-
So I take it once one has started a Franchise then one cannot make any roster changes at all without starting a new Franchise? That's really poor design if that's the case.
-
Thanks, What I have tried is just moving one CF from AAA to MLB both on the 40 man. Then I get a missing batter in the line up. I fill those, then I exit, I get invalid, I go in all I can do is MLB line ups, no link to AAA, AA or A lineup menus. Same with moving a pitcher. Every time I exit I get invalid with the Xs but can't find any positions unfilled. ??? Never this difficult with any other MLB game. I like the game over all but this roster thing is hardly user friendly. So what am I doing wrong???
-
I give up, there is no way to move players up from AAA to MLB etc. Sony’s “The Show 21” just doesn’t allow it. Only MLB game that I ever owned, and I go back to Atari, that you can’t manage player moves in the season. Hate that
-
I have an Xbox one. I cannot move players up to MLB from AAA and so on. I’m
Currently playing a Franchise season and am stuck with the players I was started with. I can’t replace any player. If I
Try to “Manage Move” players I get “Xs” need to be corrected error. Fill in line ups or pitching slots and the error doesn’t go away. No help screen, no instructions but every position is filled. I’ve had 2K MLB and the old EA Sports MLB and this version of “The Show 21” makes it impossible to move players. Anybody know about this condition? Can find how to download new rosters updates either.
