The notion that anyone can make WS by just putting the time and focusing is just wrong. If you play on a TV screen, zero chance you get there the speeds are way too fast. And let's be honest, not everyone has the right skill. Not being a [censored], just truth.

Another item people tend to forget, my comment regarding not wanting to play 400 innings in one mode is that I just don't have the time if I still want to play other modes like events and BR which are fun. Don't forget about showdowns, conquest maps that help you get the program rewards. I don't have 2+ hours each day. But I'm sure others do, just posting why there is no point playing Ranked for myself

Keep in mind that my biggest issue is just the number of innings. I just don't have enough time, if I grind this, I don't get to play any of the other modes. Hopeful they do reduce the number of innings, but if its late in the year I'll just have to buy the cards I don't get. Glad that I'm not the only one that thinks 400 innings is a lot.

In regards to people quitting last year. Not sure how many people have fun getting beat by 7 or eight runs. I bet most people like to play a competitive close game. You don't always have that. Still a believer that the full games truly only helps content creators.

I consider myself an avg to above avg player. Last year I could make it to Championship get close to world series but have never made it there. I enjoy collecting all the cards that become available. Last year I was able to get the cards by racking up the wins. Yes, to SDS' point, quit a game early if I knew I was going to lose, but full games are only valuable to content creators not most players. And I only have so much time to play, need to maximize my time if I want to get all the cards and play all the modes.

With this year's change, no way I get to world series. Not even by "just playing the games" 400 innings is basically 44 games. That means between 35-40 hours of gameplay per season. If I commit to that I won't have time to do BR, events and so on. I rather do the other modes and still have the competition aspect in events and BR.

SDS- anyway you can tweak this? Maybe a combination of XP and innings? Or getting to certain levels (division series, championship) "buys" you a number of progress requiring less innings or XP to reach WS? Otherwise, someone like myself just don't see the point of playing ranked when I'm trying to get as many cards as possible.

2nd freeze off for the night… stupid and toxic.

Did I have bad luck today or are freeze offs on the rise?? I had 3 different freeze offs today. 2 on events and 1 in battle royal. These happened on different types of plays. So I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or people are initiating the freeze offs…. Either way, I’m currently on one in BR, going to bed and will be busy most of tomorrow. So maybe I can win this one…

This happened twice to me in the last couple of days. Opponent will pause the game and will run the clock to 1 second, then he'll request a friendly quit if they're losing. The goal is to get you to click accept making you think the clock expired and you want to accept before they "come back from pausing the game". But if you accept the friendly then the game won't count for either player.

The 2nd player chose not just to try this but to then have a freeze off after the last out. Forcing me to quit since I have better things to do with my life then wait (plus is just an event game of 3 innings). I then tried to block him and report him but it seems he blocked me first so that I did not get a chance to report him. I wish I could post his PSN but I've read if you do that then you get in trouble. However, feel free to look at my game log, the final score was 6-2 and I took the L. Block him so that you don't have to deal with this BS. I can't think of any way to report him now.

I'm on a COLD streak with packs. I've opened over 250 packs and I've pulled 0 diamonds.... Definitely have opened over 500 packs this year and I've only pulled 3 diamonds. One of them was DeGrom (very thankful for that).... can you guys confirm I'm not the only one this luck..

Sometimes you're just unlucky...I have probably open around 300+packs and have pulled 3 diamonds... it will be better if you save your stubs (or buy them) and just buy the diamonds off the market.

All I learn today is that you are a toxic player.... you state ", waste as much time as possible between pitches."... toxic.

This is the 2nd time that it happens. Playing events, player dashboards and the win didn’t count... please fix it!!!

I was playing Events. Game goes into extras. Opponent requested friendly quit. I decline. Win the game on the 5th inning with a walk off hit. But when I went back to the main menu the game and stats did not count.

Are we able to choose the elevation?

yes, I posted on this before... the HR should count as soon as it is hit and not until it lands. The reason the person dashboards is because they know it is a HR (and because they can't accept they're not very good at the game). If the HR is counted as soon as it is hit, even if the person dashboards the stats still count. Only exception should be when there is a chance to steal the HR.

This way you only have 1 player (sore loser) upset vs 2 upset players.

I posted on this before. Most people dashboard after a HR. SDS should simply make the HR count as soon as it is hit (with the exception of those you can rob), therefore the player hitting the HR gets the stats and win. No incentive for the person dashboarding to do it, unless they're done playing for the day. Even then, you still only have one upset player instead of two.

I would also like the option to add the stats wherever I want and not just a +3 to every stat. Let me customize it to my liking...

However, the people that take the extra lead every pitch, the people that call time at the plate in EVERY 2 strike count (Yes, I experienced this very recently!), the practice swingers of years gone by, the bunt dancers, the habitual HR replayers, the ones that try to make u think a can of corn is a HR by sprinting towards the wall, and finally, the people who take the near maximum time between every pitch in a FUTILE attempt to fool the batter into thinking a PHAT one is coming right down the pipe via auto-pitch, did I cover everyone? Well........

You forgot the people that do not hit X in between batters and plays but instead watch the entire batter walk up animation.... press the button people!!

You can't expect every perfect/perfect to be a hit. That is not how baseball works. Just like in real baseball, there are times you will square up a ball and it goes right to someone and other times where you hit it off the end of the bat and you are early and you get a bloop hit. That's just how baseball is.

Agree with you 100%. The point I was trying to make is that a Perfect/Perfect should be given only for home runs. This would eliminate much of the frustration of players. Maybe they can add an additional feedback something like "great/great" and that designation could be for balls that were hit great but maybe to your point, you get unlucky or it is not an automatic home run.
