I’m sure a 99 SP Babe will be in an upcoming chase pack.
Yeah with outlier sinker 25mph speed differentials and a cutter

The 12 win streak rewards brought all the goons out to events. I miss previous years when the goons were done with events 2 days in after they went 50-2 but it doesn’t seem like they are ever done this year

This is what we get in a DD pack after a week of no content? A guy who has 2 seasons in his career that were good and is out of the league by his early 30s? Couldn’t find anyone else that might deserve a 99 ( or in this years case, ANOTHER 99) and get people excited
Come on, SDS, do better…
I’m good with it, if they only gave 99’s to guys that “deserved” it we would all have the same team facing the same team like it has been in years past. If they can give Grayson Rodriguez a cracked 99 too years in a row when all he’s done is hurt his arm and get lit up I’m ok with Trevor Rosenthal and Miguel Sano getting a 99 for at least flashing potential at one point no matter how short lived
What a quality problem
I’m skeptical this is an actual problem. My first thought is if your not confident enough with your PCI to use normal swing your probably not good enough for me to worry about the size of your PCI

I started DD this year and thought challenges were cool and stuff and now 100 hours deep im thinking what is the point? I use cards to build a team to do more challenges etc...I don't play online so I'm building a team for nothing and the challenges come at a pace where the casual gamer like me will never be able to complete them all so why am I doing this?
It’s for entertainment. If your intention is to accomplish something meaningful with your time you probably don’t want to look to video games to be the source of the meaning
Oh don't make this bigger than what OP is trying to say. This game is a snoozefest.
So why not just play another game instead of whining on forums about this one? Guys cry all day online about this game like they are getting held up and in some cell at Guantanamo Bay being forced to grind for team affinity cards.

I thought you were going to say “ throw a perfect game with Domingo German”
I agree. It’s pretty much them saying here is your captain that boosts cards you’re already done using now that you earned the 200pxp or 500pxp required to advance 3 points in the program
Play on veteran you will hit better. It doesn’t have to make sense intellectually the fact is that Rookie is not the easiest mode to hit in.
I’m guessing it’s SDS’s attempt to get ahead of folks crying that they can’t hit him again
They have really dialed down the wildness on this years City Connect jerseys compared to the ones that came out last year. Like the Padres are wearing rainbow sherbet colored jerseys with sleeves that are not the same color, the Rockies are wearing License plates and then this year the Pirates,Braves, Reds, and Orioles get jerseys that match either their current or throwback color scheme with only a different font slapped on for the lettering.
Just use your stubs to buy the card you want. Think about how ridiculous it is to buy show packs and expect any return on investment
They have good bait in the Chase Packs this year but buying show packs is always a bad idea unless your trying to stock up on common free agent cards
It’s closer to pay to play than before. Grinding doesn’t really get you anything especially in comparison to prior years when grinding could get you everything. I like some of the changes, the sheer amount of cards and the different programs that come out are cool. I don’t think there are “pay walls” because flipping makes it super easy to stack stubs and the set collections cards are some of the best in the game and available for free for the most part(at least the first of 3 ) if you complete all the programs and collect all the free cards available. I don’t enjoy flipping so I just do it here and there this year and I make enough that the only cards out of my budget are the chase cards. That’s fine I'm not buying show packs, if they can get other people to spend cash to buy stubs to buy show packs more power to them it’s a business they don’t have a responsibility to give everyone everything for free just because they did in the past.
I agree. At first I really enjoyed all the changes and the ability to use end game cards right away. Now after a couple few months I’m finding the game kind of boring. I absolutely love the sheer amount of cards released but at the same time the reward for grinding just isn’t there as it was in the past.I still appreciate the attempt to do something different. I didn’t really like the let everyone have all the cards 2 hours after they are released model of prior years either. I think the sweet spot is somewhere in the middle. I’m ok with not being able to earn every card just grinding away but all that’s available to sell through grinding hours is a few show packs and some silver duos sprinkled in. I’ve been playing a lot of 2k which previously would be unthinkable in June. I’m confident SDS Will course correct for next years model, probably make the captains core and more usable and maybe allow any players receiving a captain boost to be considered a “wild card”which would make the team affinity grind more worth while
that Mauer card is juiced out of its mind and catchers are few and far between so I would keep Mauer. I love Mantle too but there is always 7-9 outfielders I could plug in at any given time and get the same production
I would just put in a ticket. I don’t see a reason for them to care about this but if they did they would help you through a ticket
I havnt noticed a wide spread difference. I usually try to pound the zone early in the count Looking for weak contact so if I get deep into the count Im usually ahead and can get guys to chase. I know the people who take more pitches are better hitters, when I’m playing someone who is 100% on their swing decisions and is willing to take a strike or two I know I’m going to get destroyed
Because you already collected them in set collections ??
