There is a moment where he straightens out just after you take the lead. Then he begins to squat and settle in.

That is the time where u want to release RT

I have over 100 steals with J Pierre and out only 13 times.

Similar with my p4 Trey Turner.

If both steal and speed are over 85 you can run on almost any combo of pitcher/catcher.

But I have stunk w S Marte.

I play DD online and my biggest flaw is my large TV and Slow internet.

When I play vs the CPU on Legend with all aids off it is a purely enjoyable game.

I use meter pitching with no curser or strikezone

I use zone hitting w only onside diamonds.

I like auto fielding and throwing most.
The game runs and is visually stunning.

Is it perfect… not close.

It would be better if only made for PS5. Period.
But that makes not nearly enough money.

So i am willing to live with the flaws as i enjoy what i have.

I see many of the complaints but just look past to enjoy MLB the show.

Ps…folks were mad that Porsche started making SUV’s.

This shitty game totally shows the new 1 dimensional players we are getting force feed to us as fans.

A legend like Verlander was not pitching.

Facing batter after batter with major holes in their swing who’s bat is on plane with the ball for a fraction of a second. Therefore they played two games with zero runs.

So at some level a costume party.
Everyone.. players and fans arrive expecting a real game but they all paid for parking to see NOTHING happen.

This is twice in these playoffs that games have looked like this by the best teams.

The Grinding that is necessary to unlock cards is maddening and feels like Homework/Taxes.

I just wanted to play DD with my favorite players and unfortunately they are behind a grind.

To add in.
The online folks/community of competitive players are playing on a Monitor where the casual gamer is not.

This becomes a massive difference when head to head on line between a Monitor and a large tv.

I can quickly tell if i am playing a monitor when i can not get a single pitch past my opponent.

Once said scenario i just pitch to contact and hope for a rollover type swing.

No boosts
Classic Pitching
No curser
No strikezone visible
Auto fielding

On Legend difficulty in Mini Seasons

Make 2 add drops at the half way point in the season and see how you do.

My process

1. Go to practice mode on rookie difficulty and use zone hitting with only center diamonds turned on.

Select only 4 seam fb and only the 4 corners of the strikezone.

As pitches come in onky move your pci to the spots and do not swing

Then deselect all the 4 corners and let the cpu throw you pitches to all the zone both balls and strikes.

Grade yourself every 10 pitches.

Have you swung at 90 % strikes??

Move difficulty up towards legend as you hit the 90 % mark in each difficulty

The Greinke 99 has a curveball that if thrown w no-power comes in at 69 mph.

Buy the pitching/hitting engine is being exposed as the only thing that matters is power and k/9

If online used a salary/team overall cap it would be way more interesting.

There is a clear sliver of RNG in the game.

It shows up most in Classic pitching.
I honestly do not mind.

I use Meter pitching in Online but classic vs CPU.

once in a while i give up a homer to a 98/99 Mantle vs CPU when I am using 89 Saberhagen.

Wouldn’t you think an 89 rated Sabs would give up a homer to a 99 mantle??

For ratings to matter the RNG has to show up online as well otherwise all cards are the same.

I am honestly just good with what I get. The graphics and ability to see Jackie Robinson in a Dodgers uni in Dodger Stadium are great and for me override the RNG moment's.

1st off. The 3 inning game is baloney.
2nd. Game is more fun vs approved and rated players.

Sds should allow players to rate each other.

So the cheesy ai glitch tactics would all find each other.
