@MoeBuug68_XBL I’ve noticed it’s not quite as bad playing legend ranked. But HOF and god forbid allstar if I get down to Allstars I have one hell of a time getting back up.

So I legit use to be addicted to gambling. I’m in my mid-late 30s so been there done that made some money lost some and learned some lessons. I start to itch again with these pack openings. It’s like a nostalgic Pokémon slash tops 90s pack openings/ slot machine and I’m hooked. I’ll get a million stubs and just blow it on packs. Everytime … but I love it. I think I finished the day with 22 50 packs. I got brutally murdered but on my last one finally got chipper and it just felt so good. When I use to buy the chase card I felt like I was losing stubs lol. It’s a wonderful sickness. I’m still after the mythical judge though 4 Ohtani later

After you mentioned this I went and checked it out on Reddit but not much good info. What’s your thoughts on?

So anyway to ensure I’m done with this game since it has such a grasp on me I decided to use 1.6 million in stubs on 50 pack bundles. Didn’t get [censored] but enjoyed the gamble and now I’m about out of stubs which hopefully will negate or diminish the desire for me to come back and play since I’m clearly hooked and letting this game get to me.

@TheBigPapa55_PSN I’m talking about the post game stats in the menu right after a game. Where you can check the amount of “good” contact and PCI rating and everything about you and your opponent. If there is another name for it my apologies if I’m being confusing. What I was saying was the stats at the end always end up pretty similar between both opponents. Even if the game doesn’t start out similar by the end of the game the stats are similar but they aren’t correct. Weak contact might be imputed as “good” for instance. Hope that makes sense

I could go on and on but I’m just sick of it. I need to be substantially better than my opponent to make a difference. I was ranked 888 this season. Im probably just barely holding onto 600 now. My skill hasn’t changed. I was beating players over 1100 at times but for me as the year goes on all the above mentioned gets comically worse and worse. The dink dink smash BS has to stop. Ur opponent is hitting the weakest contact possible for hits and then slams a late homers while ur crushing hard liners to the outfield all for ur defense to randomly make the stupidest game changing errors. My rants done I hope others here understand where I’m coming from because at times I feel like I’m losing my mind

I have found out numerous things for me personally playing this years iteration of the games moreso than others and for me it’s not debatable. Why this happens I do not know but what I do know is this … if I play an opponent and I’m lagging essentially what is happening is I’m batting on their internet connection while they are batting on mine. Therefore I swing with a pool noodle. The entire game essentially think of it as ur stealing their internet while they are stealing urs. As if u temporarily switch.
Now the absurd amounts of line outs I’m getting and the ridiculous [censored] that happens in 9th innings especially I have no answer for. I had a guy almost come back on me being down 12-3. It was the ninth inning and suddenly the game fell apart. Defensive errors and silly errors were one of them. My PAR was already massive but the pitches would either hang or be on the very outside edge of the PAR there was no in between. I went to throw home and my fielder threw the most exagerated lob slow as can be extremely high in the air. One thing after another keeps happening to me thus resulting in every game being a nail biter suddenly. So I’m just sick of it. Whether it’s RNG or the games adapting I play to be competitive. This and I’m sure most sports games is trying to take away the skill gap by implementing random [censored] like this and it’s not worth the stress anymore. Constantly hitting into l line outs alongside the things mentioned above just put an end to it for me.

Fair question that I thought I outlined. So while I’ve been playing lately I’ve been trying to add up my “good”contacts and or “good”timing as well as my opponents. What led me to do this was post game stats always seem to be very similar to one another between me and my opponent. That therefore led me to count along with the absurd amounts of lineups I had been hitting lately. So I counted. What I noticed was weak contact wasn’t always considered weak on the post game stats. For instance my opponent could dink a little bloop hit but it got measured as “good” contact or “good” timing. So I was scratching my head. Then I decided to just count the “good”
Contact that I got during gameplay according to the feedback at the bottom of the screen during live gameplay. Well I found out those post game stats are not correct.

I know I harp on and on and take this [censored] way too seriously and I’m truly sorry for that but I guess I come on here to see if others are having these issues as much as me because I enjoy this game in my free time but my god it’s almost every match for me

I bought roughly 15-17 50 packs this morning due to quitting the game because I can’t take the servers and RNG anymore. I give my explanation of this on another recent thread but anyway… I pulled one 92 diamond and that was miller. The rest were 85s. I spent right around 1.3 million in stubs or so and didn’t get any of the chase cards and lost essentially all but maybe 100-150k after selling everything I got. So I took a loss of around 1.1 million or so. Just another update.

Update: all my stubs are gone and I had no luck with the chase cards. Why SDs took away the ability to open the latest chase pack instead of taking a chance 1-25 is beyond me but I think with that being said that’s all she wrote for me boys. 1.6 million stubs gone I figured what a way to go out. It was a fun gamble.

I complain a lot and am completely cognizant of that but I just intentionally counted my stats while in game and compared if they match up to the post game stats and simply put they don’t at all even remotely match up. The amount of RNG in this game right now isn’t making sense guys. I’m lining out an absolute ton right now on as good of contact as I can get. My PaR on my pitching is a complete gamble and I’m really struggling and creating walks suddenly but most of all the hitting engine. My god. I get all the pop I can get and it just beelines to the outfielder. Meanwhile everyone I’m playing is getting little dinks. This is all so fristrating. The amount of RNG or whatever in gods name just happened for me last round has led me to quit. I read everything that was going to happen before it happened and that’s just not good. I had soooo many balls perfectly lined up with good timing yet they were pop fouls right into the catchers glove. Nothing about my round made sense at all and of course final pitch of the game was a very late soft contact hit for a homerun. But the stats at the end of the game were completely wrong. And that’s where I throw in the towel.

Take a recording to a pen and paper and right down ur stats as u play next time. They will show something completely different post game to somewhat match ur opponents. How this wasn’t ever talked about more baffles me. To anyone that replies thank you and goodluck

Brotha you aren’t wrong. The games a coin toss who’s gonna I’ve had great hits as good as I could hit them over and over all week find gloves. The games just getting worse. For me servers are getting worse which is making an already broken hitting engine significantly worse

Even when connection is perfect for me it’s a coin toss who’s gonna get the good exit velo or not. It’s pretty ridiculous and it’s getting worse and worse as the year ends.

Who here is having problems with goods while ur opponent is not ? I’m seeing if there is any lag whatsoever I’m getting hits into outs even with perfect pci placement while my opponent essentially hits all homeruns. Literally I’ve played some round lately where it’s 5-7 homeruns for my opponent and maybe only one single or so. It’s just a homerun derby against me lately yet my contact exit velo is significantly decreased. It used to happen on a coin toss. Since this weekend it’s been every match I’ve played. I don’t understand what else to do

The hitting engine is destroyed man. I’ve played countless games that make absolutely 0 sense. I can crush the ball all game and keep hitting into line drive outs while my opponent makes soft contact and hits 7 homeruns on 8 “goods” or early and late. It’s a mess. Servers have something to do with it and internet. Additionally, if u play someone with weak internet just quit. They will likely win and you will have serious issues pitching and hitting with pool noodle while they make soft contact for homers almost every at bat. The game is severely broken in regards to that. that’s why guys with horrible connection have such low ERA

One more update I bought 8 more 50 bundles and got absolutely destroyed lol so take what I say with a grain of salt. I just love the gamble.

I have an update I just pulled 99 Brett and my third Bobby Witt as well as a purple diamond all in a 50 pack. I’ve been buying these more so lately since they’ve been reduced to 60k and my luck hasn’t been terrible. Maybe today is a good day to buy or maybe I got lucky. Other years past I never could get lucky at all tbh.
I’ll add that for me personally opening packs through the app on my phone has yielded much better results than on console but I’m sure that’s just coincidence

Never pulled judge but pulled Ohtani 4 times this year. Would say with chase packs I get the chase card under 5 percent of the time.

@Barfy-Bad-Gas_XBL [censored] I’ve played for years and never even tried it. I’ll be switching to this in order to move away from all the switch hitting god squads lately.
