I know it hasn’t dropped but I want to be the first person to post that I picked the same player twice in TA4. And subsequently I probably jinxed myself. That’s all.

The guy has a legitimate complaint. It sucks grinding for stats and not getting what you earned. If you can’t add or relate or debate the OP’s point then get lost

I only ever played catcher for little league kids as a coach. And a few times in practice at college. Rickey didn’t even seem that fast and a lot of bases he barely got in before the tag. He has a career 81% steal success rate.which means he’s been hosed out plenty of times. If I had 20 chances back in the day against prime Rickey, I know I could’ve gotten him once.

I just got done busted my hump in this July heat. I pitched my team to three wins and one tough loss during last weeks slow pitch soft ball beer league tourney. If I pitched at that pace for the entire summer I’d come close to eclipsing Cy’s career win total. The guy is over rated. The very next day I was ready to take the hill. I would’ve too, but there were no games.

Two years ago I won a $50 Applebee’s gift card for being the best pitcher in my league. Also I put in $5 for the meat raffle. I’d like to think the gift card win is synonymous with the success I generated for being an outstanding pitcher. Not my first time winning , I may add. Cy Young wasn’t even good enough to win a Cy Young.

In just about six season I’ve helped my team win numerous championships and tournaments. Cy Young has what? One measly World Series when baseball had two teams. No contest.

I’ve been clocked at 40mph on my flattest lobs(estimated and adjusted for air density). Back in the late 1800’s/ early 1900’s they couldn’t even track pitch speed cause he pitched so slow.

My career wins above replacement is about a keg to a keg and a half of beer. Cy Young highly exaggerated his to like 160. Mathematically that is impossible. There weren’t even that many players, unless they were counting the crowd .

He may have the advantage in counting stats as of right now, but let me pitch 50 years like he did. Then let’s compare counting numbers

Some people on here just don’t get it. The OP has a life. He got up early to sneak a few games in. If you’re married with kids you’d know. You got about an hour in the morning if you wake up early enough and a few hours after 9 or 10. He’s not ranting and roaring just he had certain expectations and do to some server issues his goal was not met.

As for OP I feel for you. Cause I know how it is to try to sneak some gaming in.

It’s a 4 part event so you only need to average 6 or 7 wins.. just a little grind for your fav player

Average six wins…my career total wins on events is 3 I think. And I do play them

Why do you stink so bad ? do you suck at pitching, hitting or both ?
Do you play on a TV or Monitor.? Practicing and just playing the events should help to make you better.

TV and it’s more hitting than pitching. But there is just a lot of times I’m outclassed by my opponents

I’m not a Cubs fan but I catch a lot of games on tv due to the WGN network. I don’t recall ever seeing a team trade away so much talent all at once. These are bonafide star players. Tough to see. Hang in there cub fans.

It’s sad that you’d let another player take away the joy you FEEL for the game. It’s a game. Quit if you don’t feel comfortable playing an offensive player. I’m not saying it’s ok, but why let someone else dictate or have an influence on something you can control?

Keep it moving. If this is the straw that broke the back for you then that’s obviously your choice.

I’m your money spent. I spend government assistance on stubs. Using your tax dollars to fund my roster. Got you all beat YMS

Isn’t that kind of the definition of a complaint? Voicing your displeasure?

2 way player. What’s the big deal? On my beer league softball team I pitch, play the field and coach. That’s three ways right there. But it gets better. If your a nice teammate I’ll provide transportation, I’ll grill for the team, I’m the guy with the first aid kit, I’m the owner/ operator. I act as the defecto GM. In essence I fund raise by selling spots on the team. If guys need a one on one about life we’ll talk over beers. I provide extra equipment when needed. I’m 10x’s the player Ohtani is.

The Jays are headed back to their hometown after playing their home games the last two months in Buffalo. I’ve been to more major league games this year than I’ve ever been to. It’s been a great experience and I thank the jays and their organization. Seeing the team up close I’ve been very impressed. It’s just so hard to say goodbye!!!!

The update got me pregnant and I’m a guy. The update hasn’t called me since I broke the news. Also refuses to pay any kind of child support.
