I know we still haven't seen much still, but man that MLB the show 21 Next Gen trailer was a huge let down for ME. I was expecting a huge upgrade like NBA 2k21 next gen. I know these things I’m complaining about are very small minuscule things, but they would really make the game look and feel more real life if the gameplay happens to suffer and is poor. First off , the jerseys are exactly the same looking as every year. No unbuttoned buttons on the uniforms like a lot of players do now, the uniforms have no bagginess to them, no flow in the breeze or while they are running/sliding . I want to see jewelry flopping off tatis neck while he’s moving on next gen. Another thing is I’d like to see all the old time players from back in the 50’s and below to wear their uniforms like they wore them back then, extra extra baggy with stirrups and using old fielding mits. There needs to be more flow with the pants too while moving. The uniforms just still look stuck in place like they are painted on them. This is next gen? I guess I was just expecting more in terms of realism for next gen like nba 2k21 next gen delivered......graphically. Aside from that can’t wait to see what more you guys have done with the game. Sorry if it sounds like I’m hating on the company cuz I’m not. Still love everything you guys do for this game, I’m just a uniform / graphic snob who had too high of hopes. Keep up the good work SDS.

How are freeze offs still a thing? Man this really might be my last show . Also the fact that you can still bring in a SP out of the pen?! Horrible.

Man I’d love to see a 9 versus 9 online mode similar to NBA 2k’s mycareer/park/rec. especially now that we are moving into next gen gaming. I know 9 vs 9 may be more difficult with that many players but it could also be 8 vs 8 with the AI being the pitchers.

Or maybe 3 vs 3 . One person controls the pitcher and catcher, one person is outfielders and the other person is the infielders and then rotate every inning. Would really like to see something like that being worked on over A mode like MTO.

Anyone having the issue where they can’t equip their custom uniforms for DD? I can make them but can’t choose them to wear…

A few animation and cosmetic ideas for next years game.

• Make multiple players going after the ball more often and being able to call off other fielders.

• when players slide into bases, instead of them getting up right away quickly, have them stay on the ground and calling for time, especially with head first slides.

• when players that wear elbow and shin pads, show them taking off their equipment handing it to BB or 1st/3rd base coach.

• more pants and jersey style options, such as unbuttoned jerseys, players that wear their pants a little baggier or players that wear them 70’s/80’s early 90’s style at the shin. Lots of players are bringing that look back now. As well as players who wear their pants a little above knee or right at knee like boe bichette/hunter pence.

• add the base running hand equipment to the players back pocket while at bat sticking out.

• player collisions or bumping animations when in contact with another player.

Yup having same issue. Still no fix unfortunately….

As someone who loves baseball and grew up playing it for many years, yes that would be fun, and to answer your question, that’s how I play ALL my RTTS players. I play the whole game pitch by pitch , not just key moments . Because I enjoy a realistic feeling experience. I understand a lot of people who play this game are just casual fans and some would be bored standing around, but another point id like to bring up is how easy it is to put the bat on the ball in this game, not saying it’s easy to get hits but to be able to put wood on ball is very very easy, which would make for a lot more action then in RTTS where there’s more cpu strikeouts.

If it’s a WS game tho, ok I can see that. But it’s all the time. I swear last year it was an every game occurrence

[censored], that was next gen graphics? Still excited for the game but [censored] that’s a huge let down . Couldn’t notice a difference between current and next gen .

Would also like to see more options for the way the players actually wear their uni’s. Like how they added those longer baggier pants to the negro league players. Some players wear their pants up higher above the knee, almost like football, like hunter pence did. The way tatis wears his pants now is like 70’s 80’s style around the shin. And catcher sun visors on the masks. Having the hand guards in the back pocket while at bat .

So I’ve had two freeze offs so far where the game freezes. One thing I’ve noticed is that both times they have happened was when someone was stealing a base on me and my catcher couldn’t throw the ball. Right after that the game would freeze.

Custom uniforms issue needs to be fixed.
