I was thinking. This game bans users for certain types of posts and one can even report other users for different types of things. I wonder how many of you would consider a “pause player” a form of harassment?

I played this (can’t say) user who from the very beginning of the game would pause for a second or two before every pitch I threw him. Then the user would pause several times while I was batting after I got a hit. It was just over and over throughout the entire game. I was actually hoping he’d run out of time but of course the game kept adding time to his clock.

Finally, towards the end of the game I hit a HR off him so what do they do? Yes beam me. I can’t help but wonder why users like this can’t be reported under harassment or why they are not penalized. Oh wait. Never mind.

This is why the clock should not have time added to it.

Sds chooses to put two 2017 Correa cards in this game. One postseason and one POTM . He got those stats cheating, it’s proven. You could have used josh bell, the postseason one in prestige could have been literally 1000 other cards but you choose that one. Imo this is a conscious choice to celebrate cheating. That Steve Pearce that could play lots of positions (including 2B) with a ton of power would've been sick.

I would love to have Manny in the game (and I hope you're right) but it could also be for a prestige Jose Ramirez in the XP prestige reward path

First, I want to clarify that I know a similar type of pack was available in previous years.

I was thinking that once a week or something, SDS could release an Evolution Pack. These packs would contain bronze or silver cards that could evolve into great cards. For example, someone could get a bronze rookie Justin Turner that could evolve into a 92 All-Star from 2017 or a bronze rookie Josh Donaldson could evolve into a 99 Prime Josh Donaldson.

I think it will be an older legend because even though older players (like Honus) may be better than more recent players that were marketed, they won't have as large of an appeal to the market. Maybe Hank Greenberg, Dizzy Dean, someone like that? They added Lefty Grove midyear last year.

The biggest collection in the game last year was honus wagner. It was a money pit and a grind to complete. It involved essentially owning most of the non live series cards in the game (breakout, all-star, signature series, etc.)

It also required you to play 250 innings with every team, do a ton of exchanges, and a bunch of team specific missions (none of any of these things were repeatable btw) to unlock all the team affinity reward cards.

I don't believe doing the team affinities were required and I think that exchanges and innings were repeatable.

I ain't gonna lie, Im kinda of tired of it, between constantly getting them and people constantly trying to cheese friendly quit(running pause timer down) it does get annoying. On top of that seems like when I don't accept friendlies I have some of the worst/ weirdest games.

They should make it so you can't offer a friendly after your timer runs below 10 or 15 seconds.

I'm saving them up just in case of a Honus type of collection. If one doesn't happen then I can just buy top tier players later on in the year

When Miguel Cabrera gets his eventual best card, I'm hoping SDS makes a special triple crown card art.

Kershaw and Freeman weren't gold level rookies, let alone a high diamond

Neither are Alex Bohm, Jo Addell, or Nick Madrigal, but that doesnt stop SDS. I can see them retroactively making Freeman a 90 or some garbage. They already have upped most of the PotM cards, which already had different ratings. Their ratings system means nothing.

I know, but they could give Freeman or Kershaw high or elite level diamonds that aren't rookie cards.

And maybe you can also delete teams so people could do rosters from before the 1990s

Yup! Brewers have no players released so far. Braun could have had a 97 prime flashback too, but they decided the Dodgers needed another option. This is the argument you are making and I'm agreeing with it!

He's in the game, I don't think it matters. It also doesn't matter if a player is in the HoF or not. It matters if that team's fans loved the player.

I can think of at least 2 dozen Jays players from just the 80s and 90s id love to see, but its the same 6 players every year. Then they give us Molitor, who I love, but he's a Brewer, everyone knows that.

That was not the argument I was making.
However, Braun was and has been a much better player than Matt Kemp. Even with "cheating", he deserves a 97 card.

Kemp had a better 2011. The only reason Braun won was because the Brewers were a playoff team. Kemp had 6 more runs scored, 8 more hits, 6 more home runs, and 15 more RBIs. Braun had a higher OPS by 8 points, but Kemp had a higher OPS+. Braun had a higher batting average than Kemp, but Kemp stole more bags than Braun. Kemp also had a higher WAR according to Baseball Reference (granted that it was only by 0.3). They were also both bad defenders that season.

Yeah, I agree. Now compare their careers... Braun is better.

I agree, but post Braun suspension (so 2014-), he is only a little better. But then again, that is still better, so I agree.

In 2016 they had these. Boggs, Verlander, Dickey, to name a few, great idea, not sure why it was scrapped, but I absolutely loved it.

I remember. Plus when people pull bronzes they would get excited unlike now where it's diamond or disappointment basically.

Yeah. Like in 16 with all the crazy awesome packs. They had like a WS team pack (Cubs, Indians), CS pack (Cubs, Indians, Dodgers, Blue Jays), etc. They also had packs like that. Those packs would be sick and I would buy more packs if they did that.
