@GoozeFn_PSN EXACTLY!!! I used to love RTTS when there was a reason to play it, knowing it could be helpful in DD and against friends. Now, I do not even touch it. There is no reason to.

I am in my mid-fifties. I have decades of baseball video games to reflect upon. There were always the big franchises (RBI Baseball, Bases Loaded, ec) that grow and die. Usually, they die off because they fail to keep growing and improving, or they remove key features that people loved. Maybe The Show is ending it's era at the top of the heap. You need look no further than removing RTTS players from DD, or the lack of personal, customizeable leagues with friends that have some AI controlled teams, or an online franchise mode. I still love the game very much, but i will jump to the next franchise when I see these types of options in gameplay.

@GoozeFn_PSN Excellent point. Maybe "too powerful" was the wrong explanation, but that is the reason I originally read. All of your points are good.. you have to sacrifice other stats/bonuses to play them. So.. just let us use them. I only play against personal friends, and we always made a RTTS character to represent us. And it was always so much fun to drill them in the batting box. It was a wonderful source of entertainment that we no longer have. It is quite disappointing.

Personally, I love the build up to 99s. Last year, I felt that ocne my roster was set there was little need to keept rying to get better players. I am thnkful they have a power creep with each inning. It provides incentive to keep playing and get new players.

I do not spend any money in the game except for the initial purchase. Granted, I always get the deluxe version. I dont feel the need to spend, as I do not play in any online competitive mode against people I dont know. I enjoy the game in DD and Play vs Friends. My question to you is this: is it online play that compels you to spend real cash to advance?

I just took a survey about the game that was sent via email. I was shocked to see that there were no options to provide feedback outside of the questions. However, these are my two big asks for the game: 1. RTTS. Since we can no longer use RTTS players in DD, i dont even touch it. I understand that RTTS players are too powerful for PvP, but I never play PvP. I suggest that RTTS players are allowed in DD for offline or Play vs Friends. Without an option to use my character outside of RTTS, it has no interest for me. 2. I absolutely HATE the no-doubt HR animation. I dont need to see a focus on the player as they swing the bat. It is basically the same animation over and over. I want to watch the ball fly out of the park. I want to see that majestic homerun leave the field... watching the same animation over and over compared to the thousands of possible ball trajectories is a major disappointment. Essentially, in my countless hours of playing, these are my only two asks. Amazing game.

Is it best to horde the show packs until higher levels diamond players are released?

I really do not like the view of the player when they hit a no-doubt homerun. It was a mild annoyance at first, but i really miss the excitement of watching the ball fly out of the park. Is there any way to turn this off?

I think that is a fair assessment. My friends and I are not competitive gamers and we dont tend to play against people we do not know. It is just us playing against each other. I really liked creating a character in RTTS and using in DD, especially against friends. I totally understand why they should not be used competitively, and I can appreciate that, but I think the option should be there to be used in non-competitive games against friends. But that is my two cents. Without that, I typically wont touch RTTS.

Last year I was very bummed that our RTTS created characters could not be used in Diamond Dynasty. As a result, I never even touched RTTS. While I understand there was an imbalance with created players in competitive games, there are those of us who only play against friends and would prefer to have created characters in our player vs player games or just in our offline DD team. What is the possibility that this feature is added back, or modified, to allow for RTTS characters in non-competitive games? And how did you feel about this change last year?

@chucky97___ Very true. We do that now, but we always liked the opportunity to make our own players to add in. It is just a nice feature to have and to me, the solution is easy enough to implement: keep RTTS characters our of ranked games. I do appreciate your feedback.

My friends and I are bummed about RTTS characters not being used in DD. We do not play any ranked games against other players; we only play friendly games amongst our selves, and this is a signficant loss of a feature that we enjoy every year. None of us have even touched RTTS this year, primarily because we cannot use those characters in DD. This is the first year i did not buy the Jackie Robinson charity pack, because the player items are useless to us now. Here is my quesiton: Can you change the parameters of RTTS characters so they can be used in DD or in friend vs friend play, but keep it out of ranked games? I think this solution would satisfy everyone.

Since the update this morning, I keep getting an error message that either my opponant has an invalid roster (CPU controller opponant) or that "You need at least 10 players on your active roster."

I have restarted the game, restarted the PS5, and auto-generated lineups. I cannot clear this error and play a game. All my positions are filled.

How do i correct this?

I wont touch RTTS since they removed the created players from DD, but if I did, i still wouldnt make a female character. I typically play female characters in almost all of the games i play, but this is baseball. However, I do think it is great that players can play how they want to play. Any options that give freedom to the players is good in my opinion.

Personally, I hate the fact that they disconnected it. I do not play ranked games. I only play against my personal friends. Every year, we enjoyed incorporating our created characters into DD for games against each other. I think it is fair to keep created players outside of ranked games, but why diminsh the experience of using created players in DD or when playing against friends? This is a huge feature loss for us, that does impact our enjoyment. I doubt any of my friends will even touch RTTS now... there is no point.
