Since you mentioned Pujols, they'll probably be a Silver/Gold Pujols at launch for everyone to use (like there was for Ted Williams this year), but the GOOD Pujols will probably be the LS collection reward, which for most normies won't be attainable for a couple of months.

Whether that's worth it is up to you.

Also the daily doubles you get are only for the first 30 days this year, why they changed it who knows.

I use to play DD all year long from MLB17 - MLB 23.

I know people would rather bash the game and say how horrible it is. But this is an issue a lot of people ignore.

You just said you spent 7 years playing this game. Yeah you start new every year and you get that initial excitement. They've added multiple modes over the 7 years to try to keep things feeling fresh. But at the end of it you're just playing a baseball game and there's not much they can do to change that.

Of course you're going to start getting bored and lose interest in things if you're doing them too much. No matter how much you've enjoyed it in the past and want to enjoy it now.

This is how I feel. After playing DD for the last six years it just feels like, been there done that. It feels like I'm grinding for cards that I'll never use just to get programs or team affinity done and I rarely play with the cards I want to.
