I just assumed that there was an infinite supply of every cards. Now that I think of it, it was quite stupid of me lol
Thanks to you, I better understand now why these early release cards still sell for big studs. Less people are unloading them, so there are less for us, latecomers, to buy. Just like stocks.

I am at my first year into the game and the franchise. I have been playing for about ten weeks now.
I decided to give my best shot at the Rolen 99. I know, for the great majority of you, this is an easy target. But keep in mind that I had no idea I was doing for the three first weeks I played the game, that I am 48 years old, than I did not follow baseball much for the last 20 years and that the last baseball game I played was Ken Griffey on the SNES.
So, I build an Excel file with all the cards I need to get Rolen, with their price and where I can get them. That way, I can put all my energy into getting the cards I need instead of guessing.
At the beginning of the week, I was 86 cards away from Rolen. The cheapest way to get there would cost me 284 K (wich include a bit of playing to unlock some cards).
But with each passing day this week, the value of the cards I need went up. Like really up. As much as 25% in certain case.
As of today, I am 75 cards away, but the card I need have a combine value of... 463 K!
What I don't understand, is, this late in the season, who is buying Pipeline, 20th Anniversary, New Thread and Egg Hunt series cards for the price to jumb that much? Especially, this week, when the market is flood with free 95, 96 and 97 cards from the AS and Draft collections?
In other words, who buys Lucas Erceg Egg Hunt card when they can get a way better AS relief pitcher card for free?
Is there enough players grinding to get Rolen that can justify that kind of increase in price? Could it simply be that?

I mean, if a player is fast and talented enough to be a center fielder, I think he can play the two other outfield positions...
Same thing for left and right fielders. Each position have his specifity, but not big enough for a professionnal outfielder to not being able to switch from left to right, or vice versa.
Outfielder should be the designation in the game. And every one of them could play all three positions.
Same thing for SS. Every SS should be able to play 2B and 3B. We are talking about the best athletes in the world. There is no way that a SS would make more mistakes playing 2B. At least, I think, from my experience on the field.
Not just the community in Quebec. There are french speaking people outside Quebec, like me, in New Brunswick!
I also pull Juge LS very early after I bought the game.
I decide to sold it. Got 420K for it.
Bought three cards I really wanted with the cash. Now, these three cards worth about a wooping total of 50 K. And I only use one regularly.
That was when I had no intention of doing the Live Series. I did not understand the game at the time. Two months later, I changed my mind and I have decide to complete the LS.
Needless to say I have seller remorse about letting the Judge LS going. I still need it. As long as Ohtani.
But like someone said higher, Judge LS value is decreasing kind of fast right now. So I will be able to grab another one soon.
I will just have lost A LOT of stub in the process lol

new to the franchise and the series since about two months.
I am progressing into completing the Live Series. Well, kind of. I am still 23 Diamond cards away (including Judge and Ohtani). And about 300 non-diamond cards.
Some teams are almost complete. I think I have 37 out of 40 cards for 3 or 4 teams. The rest of the teams, I am between 25 and 36.
My question: when do you decide to start to start purchassing the cards you are missing to complete each teams?
I have decided to begin to buy when I will miss only two cards for a certain team. Is it too late? Too early?
Since it is my first year playing The Show, my main goal is to unlock Rolen 99. To do so, I want to complete every team collection (except, maybe, LA and NY Yankees, at least at the moment).
So, I have money to spend (about 285 000 as of this morning). Mainly to complete collections required to unlock Rolen.
I also have 105 unopen Live Series packs (I spent the week-end completing tasks required to get unbuyable cards instead of opening packs!)
What would be your advices to me?

When you open a Deluxe Choice Pack, wich "kind" of pack do you choose?
Is there a better choice?
I know you will say to choose base on what I need (to complete collections). The thing is: I need everything!
I am still a little bit less than 90 cards away from Scott Rolen 99 (without counting the 26 Diamond Live Series I need) and 215 cards away from Ted Williams 99 (again, without the Diamond Live Series).
I am just curious to know wich is your choice, normally, and the why you make that choice.

The Expos were my team before moving to DC. So, I will put my grain of salt.
The 90's Expos Jersey (in grey and white) is avalaible through National historic unifom. My team wears them.
What I can't seem to be able to buy or unlock, are the 80's Expos Jersey (in white and baby blue).
I have seen the 80's uni in the game. I think it was in a moment, very early in the year. But never since.
And yes, all Expos uniforms should be avalaible in the game. And we should get more Expos former players

I have a question about what I call Super Players (Scott Rolen and Ted Williams).
I am about 90 non Live Serie cards away from Rolen. My plan is to complete the collection to unlock him.
It would be much tougher to get Ted Williams.
My question: historically, is there one or maybe even two more players like that that will be added before november?

once again, I need your help.
Is it just me or the maths don't add up in the Clayton Kershaw program launch on July 3rd?
I count 10 moments (3 points each), three Kershaw missions (5 pts) and 4 stats missions (10 pts).
If my maths are still good, it adds up to 85 points. But we need to get 100 points to unlock Kershaw 3000 K card.
What is going on, here? Could it be that more missions/moments will be add along the way (like we saw in June with Sammy Sosa)?
Another explanations is that the "OPTIONAL" mission (collect the 3000 K Icon) is not "optional"...
While we are at it, where can I collect this Icon? I have it. I see it in my inventory. I just don't know where to go to collect it.

I am new to the game and the franchise. I have been playing for about ten weeks now. I am still a very less than average player. But I won the championship in one mini-season a couple of days ago. So, there is progress.
When I push myself into The Show 25, I did not know what I was doing. I did not understand half the concept, like Conquest or Programs. I just played by ear.
Now, I have progress a lot in the game (at least, I think). I complete almost all the programs. I have unlock the all-star voucher for every team.
So, in the past days, I had not much to play for (I don't play online). So I went back to the programs I have not completed yet. One of then was the Easter thingy.
I made my research and finally understand what I had to do to finish it. I put my little toe into Conquest, a mode I never played before. I got the eggs I needed - and unlock some cool cards I even did not know exist.
If I talk about all this, it's because I just need to finish one moment to end the program. This moment is the one where Jazz Chisholm Jr must hit an home run.
I don't know if I will ever be able to do it. The guy have 87 for power. And he seems to hit with a rubber bat. In about 200 tries, I did not hit a single ball that had an exit volicity higher than 90.
The thing is: I have several guys on my team that have around 87 for power. Joe Mauer and Spencer Steer, to name a few. Every time I hit a ball with these two guys, I hit it with authority. I feel that there is a chance to hit the alley or the fence.
I do not have the same feeling at all with Chisholm.
I got to say that I don't play with the PSI (PCI?). I use timing swing. Could this be the issue? And I am the only one who is having the same problem with Chisholm?
One thing is certain: if I ever unlock Chisholm card, I will NEVER use it in a game. It will have a special place on my bench in hell...

I have a question about the Starter program in the Themed programs that rewards you with a Roger Clemens card.
I am 90% done. I "only" need to trade 300 common cards to complete.
Earlier today, I visit the trade section for the first time. I traded about ten commons for a bronze pack. Much ado about nothing for the card I got in return lol
But, when I check my progress in the "Clemens" program, it shows that I did not trade a single card or common.
What did I did wrong? Or what did I not understand?
Ant help would be really appreciated!
