Pop time is an active quirk for LS, POTM, and TN only. FB cards from years prior and legends do not get active quirks. It's the same with other active quirks like Dead Red, Unfazed, Breaking Ball hitter, etc.
They have selectively added it to some legends.

Edit: I know a lot of people don’t care for the deadball era guys, but I’m stoked. Having a rotation of Johnson, grove, young, and Mathewson is so cool. Bummed that Cobb and Hornsby are out this year, because they are always important pieces in my old farts team. Kaline and teddy bj too, but they are a little more recent I suppose.

I would say an average player sits around 400-600 rating. People on this forum and on other forms of media represent people who are really invested into the game. I would say you’re a relatively above average player.
The average player is a guy who hops on for a ranked game once a day or so, maybe plays a few moments, and generally doesn’t play the game for longer bursts than 2 weeks - 1 month at a time. At least, that’s what I think.

No difference in their stats. It could just be that Mo is coming into a higher leverage situation in the 8th as a setup man or something like that, but there are no stat changes for relief/closing pitchers whether they’re starting, relieving, or closing.
He’s a very underrated card. Coming straight over the top with the cutter/4 seam/ 2 seam combo is really dirty, and I had trouble with his live series at the start of the year.
But I feel like he’s much easier to hit now. Maybe it’s because lineups are juiced, or because I know what his patterns are, but I’ve crushed him the last few times I played the game.
Because he counts as a monthly awards player. Personally I wish that the collection was either optional or that it added up to 100, but it is what it is.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think he was mostly topping out around 99 back in the day. SDS wouldn’t add the outlier for hitting 101 once or twice during the season, would they?
Why not? They give sinkers to guys who have never thrown one.
Also, guys arguing about Walter Johnson baffles me. I get that he was technically not recorded as throwing that fast, but the methods used to measure speed back then were wildly unreliable. Big Train is still regarded as one of the hardest throwers of all time, and especially for his era.
This. Also, SDS wants it to feel like how it would have felt facing those guys. Walter and Young and Lefty were all the hardest throwers of their time. For Walter especially I think it can be safely assumed that he was throwing somewhere around 95, considering Feller was clocked 20 years later throwing 100.
You’d think if they’re sticking with Giants then McCovey would be the big reward? I’d love to see that, I’ve always wanted to use a 99 McCovey

You're right, login rewards have never been good. But since they advertised the double login rewards as a good reason to get the upgraded version of the game for increased chances of better cards that's why I expected more. But have gotten squat.
I think if you log into this game every single day of the month, you should get some type of diamond item. A card, stadium, or equipment piece.
I could get on board with that. Stubs, cool packs, or some other type of reward. Or a guaranteed Diamond.

Dude we all agree they went overboard on the future stars but I don’t think it was this big of a deal lmao. The unfortunate reality is that there are, for some reason, always guys who don’t get a high Diamond card. Look at last year with Joe Carter, Cepeda, etc.

Do you also have an old farts team? For my SP, I use Cy Young, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Hal, and I’ve been using the 92 Lefty Grove until I can upgrade with Feller or Lefty.
Yes I do. I have the Feller and I’m waiting on that grove, Hal just doesn’t really cut it. I’ve actually been really effective with young and Mathewson, much more than I was expecting.
And obviously the lineup is stacked. My only issue is having to use Eddie mathews at third (since I like to run primary’s except at catcher obviously). I do well enough with Mathews but wish there was an older guy lmao

Wait, so for the old timers event we aren’t going to be able to use most of the actual old timers? The majority of them are signature series or reward guys since they basically cut prime cards short. They should have included signature series cards in this, at this rate the only “best” old timers that will be usable are Wagner, Cobb, Mantle, and Minoso. Cmon SDS.
