So they used have events with strike zone off. I do not remember it being well received by the community.

You're best bet is to buy cards at qs value. Possibly the cards in the chase packs depending.

George Brett gold card from 18 anyone? Specific conquest missions with crappy player cards. Nava. Cris Carter walk and a home run in the same game? Who was the other guy with no power from 18? Anyway the point is that while some of these moments can be annoying is nothing like what was. Breathe walk away for a second and come back to it. And yes I have completed it. Yeah it took about 17 attempts and yes I hit like 5 bombs contact swinging. It's just a matter of when the game says yes.

I'm still waiting for my drops from the push the button stream 2 weeks ago. Who knows

@dadarkdingo367 said in Next or Current Gen - Unfair Advantage?:
Only difference so far i would notice would be graphics. SDS wouldn't give next gen the advantage. It's all about getting paired with someone of your skill level (i.e rookie with rookie or veteran with veteran). If someone from SDS would like to reply to this they'll say the same thing. I've NEVER been paired with a legend skill level on veteran. I always get paired with veteran players.
I think you are confusing opponent skill level (human) versus technology. You can own a PS5 and suck because maybe your stick skills are terrible. You still have the advantage of a more advanced tech with the PS5. You just might not put it to good use. No one plays in MLB stadiums because the FPS is terrible. With a PS5 you can. So little Johnnie with his 1st generation ps4 is gonna sit thru 9 innings of crappy frame rate loss while the PS5 owner has a smooth game. This has nothing to do with internet lag either BTW its just a superior machine that can process information faster.

You could just play the shipvent. Work prestiging some guys? 13 games only 2 werent played there.
Fun fact. I've played roughly 13 games in the event. 0 have been at shippet.
I'm not hating it though. Trying to finish Trout and Griffey so Shippett helps

I started before 16 when the cards were temporary and you had to name them and pretty your whole team were caps.
I agree with your comments on the gameplay but I’d like to think it is not just a question of accepting more dice rolls and inconsistencies.
While I dont disagree and hope that you are right. the way the gameplay has been trending it would suggest the opposite. PCi ratings of 14s are line outs. Perfect Perfect with 110 power are flyouts to the track but early swings with PCI ratings of 11 leave the yard. I mean you can hear when its a [censored] swing. Perfect release balls miss their spot by a wide margin not inches. its still 26000000% better than RBI baseball so I guess there is that.

I’m not really seeking resolution, so much as looking for future improvements.
I started playing DD in 18. Every year it seems that the game play is getting worse not better. Content was fantastic this year. Gameplay was and is lacking. Next year will be more of the same and the year after. Input seems to be less and less important and is more about dice rolls. If you can accept it you buy the game and move forward.

I'm not so sure if it is a glitch. This is what I found. It seems like because you didnt have any position players left and ruth didnt make the last out he wasnt eligible to be replaced.
When the team is up to bat, a manager can get the same effect as a double switch by leaving in the player who has pinch-hit for the pitcher and replacing another player in the lineup who has made the last out of the inning with a new pitcher. This will take the following form:
Player A (outgoing pitcher, batting next) is replaced by Player B (a position player) as a pinch-hitter, taking Player A's place in the batting order.
Player C makes the last out of the inning is replaced by Player D (a pitcher), taking Player C's place in the batting order.
Player D is pitching in place of Player A, and Player B is fielding in place of Player C. -
have to keep them both as the diamond had to be locked in to prestige the card.

what are the settings for the event? like innings and difficulty
Stadium Locked - Iron Horse
Difficulty - HOF
3 - Innings
Team Ovr - 95 -
I think it will really depend on how the program is delivered next year. This year they included showdown and player programs tied to innings while removing moments for the bosses. The MA programs were more enjoyable this year than years past as it was about logging game time rather than $. Some cards played better/worse than last year so it was interesting to see which you should obtain. Aside from gameplay the only thing that sucked was prestiging players. It forced players to log extra hours for cards they would have already earned in prior years.

It was a glitch. I think it is already fixed.
The dream of an all CAP team is dead.
That's probably the reason it was fixed so quickly lol. Having to go against 4 Chippers isn't anything compared to facing a full lineup of big daddy [censored]
I wonder what ever happened to Big Daddy Dirtbag (King Gryph). That guy got me hooked on RTTS until 18.

I am two wins away from Finest Bellinger and I won't have time to play, due to traveling for work, UNTIL after the Event ends.
Why do I at it's BS?
Because when I started playing this Event; I played two games, that I won, but the win never counted.
I've msgd SDS about it and haven't heard JACK SQUAT from them.
Oh well; guess I'm not getting Mantle before I quit playing at the end of next week.
why did you wait until Part 3 of the event to start this?
I would imagine he is part of the $9.99 sale group that got a real late start on the game.
