Millions???? Seeings there are over Six million users this year. Oh and there were over 6 million last year. So if the franchise lost millions they got millions in new users. On PlayStation charts -- MLB has not been a top 40 played game in multiple consecutive weeks. To put it in perspective, games like Sniper Elite 5 are listed as top 40...

On Xbox charts the game currently sits at 27 this past week, but much of that is due to the fact that the game is free with Gamepass on Xbox so numbers will be inflated. This inflation is doubled down with a chart representing current player base -- MLB the Show 23 was the only game on this list of 100 to have the highest hours to player count ratio. This means that the small number of people who are still playing are logging long hours.

The. Game. Is. Dying. We all know those two or three people that used to play it that don't anymore. Why? Because everyone is a 99, they force you to grind your life away, buying packs from the store is the most boring experience in any ultimate team style gamemode (I mean who from SDS thought it was a good idea to only allow you to pull CORE players in packs... what a snooze fest), and the game is filled with simply too much RNG that most of us in here chalk up to "baseball".

Well, as of July 13, MLBTS was still #9 most downloaded game according to Playstation.

Additionally, I pulled a Chase pack from a purchased pack that contained Mantle. Guess you can pull more than just "Core" players in packs.

Are you saying that baseball doesn't have a considerable amount of randomness involved?

They should do seasons like fifa. 10 games in each division. Get promoted, stay, or demoted. I can barely get to 700, so playing WS guys suck.

It's not that cut and dried.

Criticism of the game for bugs, for example the Mini seasons bug or the glitch when the pitch comes from the wrong side are valid complaints. I doubt any defends those issues.

Don't like Seasons or Sets (I don't) or hate that there are too many high overall cards in the game then that is fine too, but that is an opinion based complaint and you can't expect people who have a different opinion to just hold their tongues.

Lastly, and this is a trap you even fell into, if you want people to not get defensive then stop insulting them in your criticisms.

So you have just insulted everyone who may not agree by pigeonholing them as a whale or a basement dwelling gamer. Nice. And you wonder why people don't just stay silent?
