I maybe wrong, but if you don't install the updates, then you can't access the online features.
This is what I remember, but could be wrong, unless things have changed.

I follow this thread closely.
What did @SDS_JoeK_PSN "lie through his teeth" about?
I never once saw or read that that this feature would be enabled, or any of the requests that have been made would be implemented.
I logged into my PS5, the. It worked for me
Challenges (at first) are in the game, just triggered automatically
I am not experiencing this at all. And I have a lot of edited players in my franchise as was a lot of AAA and AA players missing
I started roughly a week after opening day irl.
Used default rosters, and edited any players that needed it ( lot of good faces in the vault ).
I'm almost 90 games into the franchise. Saw no point on waiting. There will always be a new player update etc...
Depending on when, it was the update and server maintenance that happened this morning at 7 am eastern
Not just that, but to be able to have custom game entry for all 30 teams.
As it is now, if I do custom game entry for Team A, all other games prior get simmed.
I would like to have CGE pop up with those player milestones along with other highlights
Oh, I didn't mean to say it can't be done.
Just saying, the way it is setup now, just allowing for moving of the walls, isn't a simple fix based on what I've seen from the template that we have to use.
I play franchise, and I play alot of AAA games.
It's actually a legit baseball game at those attribute ratings.
For what it's worth
Just adding on to this, it's more than just editing the walls
The dugout is connected to the walls. So when you move the wall that connects to the dugout, the dugout also moves
This cause a problem as the players in the dugout ( ballboy as well ) are hard coded to that location.
If you "play game" then select CPU vs CPU, the lineups stick. You can then simulate to end.
If u simulate from the calendar view, CPU will change up lineups.
Believe it's part of their logic pregame to check for players who are cold, tired, etc
I play with auto base running, and have not had these issues
Is it possible you hit the button to stop them? I know u can override the auto base running.
Possible the controller has an issue?
I just saw the entrances for
Holton ( Tigers )
Miller ( Athletics )
Hader ( Astros ) - mentioned earlier
@SDS_JoeK_PSN can you confirm, that closer entrances ( or even reliever entrances ) are only available for CPU controlled teams, or is this a bug.
When playing vs cpu, I do not see these entrances.
However, having a cpu vs cpu game, and save situation ( tie game going into the 9th on one occasion), then the entrances cutscenes are shown.
The foul ball off the shin would be a nice animation to include for sure
Other animations that would be a nice quality of life update
Players taking off their batters gear after a hit / walk
Remove the animation of outfielders throwing home and doing the roll ( O'niell is only person I know to do it in the last three years )
Dial back the pitchers over celebrating a strikeout with no one base. None of them do s 360 first pump lol
There was a point in time these "little things" were added.
Used to have a beach ball cut scene. Did nothing for the gameplay, but it was a nice little thing add on.
They do have the hitter swinging and losing the bat still, have seen it a couple times
But they get skipped in DD games, so...
If the player model was already a scan, then yes
If the player model was a cap ( physical editable ), then no, won't update in an existing franchise
Equipment is available to be updated in existing franchises as well
No idea on existing RTTS as I don't play that mode
Wonder what real world stat affects control.
Would like a roster calculator, for players who are not in the roster.
Even some of the custom rosters are missing players.
Thanks for the info. That feels like a huge missed opportunity.
