Look at other moonshot pitchers and you will see some pattern. For example Seaver - Reds, Ryan - Mets, Kluber - Rangers

It has nothing to do with Pop-time. 97 overall Kyle Teel doesn't have Pop-time and he is more expensive. There is just no suply for event cards as all rewind packs are non-sellable. Prices of all event cards will keep raising until they hit 1 mil, just like last year. The only chance those prices will go down is that SDS will make forever event rewind packs sellable, but as I mentioned earlier in 23 they did not do that. SDS is quite random with this so it is just gamble. You can buy those cards now for a lot and then they'll release event rewind packs sellable and you will lose hundreds of thousands (to be fair, who cares at this stage of the game, right?). Or you can wait, they will never release sellable event rewind packs and you will never get those cards as they will have tens or even hundreds of orders for 1 mil and no one will sell.

Just play the Event.

He might not be able to play online. (no ps plus, location outside of US or he just simply doesn't enjoy playing against people) For example I am from Europe and online is almost unplayable from here. The latency is crazy.

I guess main point of our disagreement is that I don't care at all about the name of collection, I want variety and I don't want to grind for the same players all over again. Will you really get excited about worse Ohtani card than his milestone and same Lindor card with +1 speed over his playoff card?

It seems like SDS went back to what they were doing in the past (before MLB 23) and by that I mean they will not give Finest card to the most deserving player, like for example Ohtani for Dodgers, but they will give it to the most deserving player that doesn't have endgame card yet, which is great decision. The only exception seems to be Judge but that's probably because all Yankees players have 99 card already because of their playoff run. I really really hope those collection/BR/ranked season rewards will not be players like Lindor, Ohtani, Skenes etc. It was terrible last year having 4 endgame Trouts, 4 Ohtanis, 3 Realmutos and so on

I will rush it, I am glad they will release this card. I am happy they are finally (little bit late..) giving 99s to legends that did not have decent cards. Definitely better than fourth 99 Mike Trout or Schwarber.

I highly doubt it’s any of the cards you listed above. They already have good 99 versions of their cards. There are actually quite a few legends who have not received a 99 card yet. These are the ones I found:

Lefty Grove
Bert Blyleven
Ron Guidry
Bret Saberhagen
Paul Konerko
Edgar Martinez
Jason Kendall

I’m assuming the last 2 Finders Keepers cards will be from that list. However, I do think that the final Finders Keepers collection reward will be Lou Gehrig or Honus Wagner. The 99 versions that they have in the game right now are pretty weak.

So many legends missing their deserving 99 cards, makes me wonder why we got three 99s for Elly, Schwarber, Machado, Realmuto, Tucker (but no Bregman for example?).. let's say they were so stunned by their performances that they thought all those 99s for them are deserving, but why do we have two Alan Trammells which are pretty much identical? We could have Kaiju Trammel and Awards Al Kaline. Awards and Snapshot Carter? Again almost identical cards. Instead of one Carter we could have Edgar Martinez for example. I assume I am in the minority that doesn't mind sets but some decisions are just weird from SDS side. And don't get me started on no sell rewards from events, but that's completely different topic

And in the past week there was only ONE card sold as there is no supply. So first I will need to get 1 mil and then wait till March for that card. Brilliant

Or play the Event. Although, then you'll deal with people abusing the Captain's exploit.

Of course, that would be my choice in any other sports game, but sadly The Show is unplayable online from Europe. I am fine locking cards behind online play but at the end of the year I believe they should make every card easily obtainable (as they pretty much did with every other card except for event rewards)

Why the hell they did all event rewards no sell??? I am unable to play online from Europe because of their terrible servers and the only thing I was looking forward to was buying past event rewards that was almost impossible to buy lately as there was no supply. Also for players that played online all year it is pointless as they have all those players already and they can't even make some profit out of it. Stupid decision

Use retro finest, yes. If it was current finest cards then there would be "Finest 2023 series players"

It absolutely is. Try subbing him in for the AS version so you can compare the stats between the 2. The AS is equal or higher on all but 2 stats I think. I guess some folks just assume if a card is released later in the game means it is better.

MS Acuna is 125/123 contact with 115/115 power vs left and right

AS Acuna is 125/125 contact and 102/115 power

MS Acuna also has higher vision 116 compared to AS Acuna’s 111 vision.

Their speed and fielding is pretty identical

Milestone Acuna has better hitting attributes which makes him better since everything else is pretty much equal

He has probably AS card parallel 5 and milestone card parallel 0 (but even then I would not say with so much confidence that AS card is better). This is so confusing because everyone can see that literally every single stat except for contact vs left 123/125 is same or better (by quite some margin) on milestone card. Even reactions 87/82 or speed 95/90. He is correct about the other cards J-Ram, Adley etc. but definitely wrong with Acuna. Or he is sneaky and he is trying to lower the price of milestone Acuna

It will just tell you that the card is "no sell" and that's it.

Right now Murphy is going for 40k, for example Burger from base round is going for 36k. Without tax it is about 69k (hehe), so add your live series player and you lost incredible 2k stubs. And that's the worst case scenario. It might change when more people open the pack, but right now it is totally worth it. Or are you not willing to risk 2k stubs for a chance to get 500k? (Even though I know it is very small chance, but even the rare round from choice pack 1/4 chance will get you nice profit)

There is also chase pack, it is 100 % worth it. At worst you will lose 10k, at best you can get 1 mil. The chance is small but 10k is nothing.
