Like what is the point of this? Does everyone on here have to be a massive piece of [censored] person constantly? I also beat the NL east showdown, should I be a massive [censored] towards people who havent too? [censored] dorks.

The people here making excuses for SDS are embarrassing. If your game and your servers cant handle people playing the game at launch, then stop charging people for early access and then being surprised when they are upset when it doesnt work. The [censored] you people accept just because its a video game is insane.

"Oh well their servers are bad for the first few weeks at launch every year so its ok"

[censored] why is that ok? Why are you just accepting that they completely fail to learn from their mistakes year after year. These arent server issues for 20 minutes right at launch, its a thing that lasts weeks year after year after year.

By definition, a 5 game series is not a "moment". They are pretty obnoxious.

I love responses like this, as if the dude that runs all their twitter accounts and [censored] are the programmers and devs. Doesnt take much to send out a tweet or pin a post here thats like hey were working on this or that and it could be a few days, sorry and thanks for your patience. Thats all people want, a little [censored] communication to the people that keep them employed. But nope, nothing because people like you will constantly defend them, they could [censored] on your leg but as long as they told you it was raining youd be happy.

The Simulation seems to take over the game.

The RNG is frustrating.

What is RNG?

Random number generator. Like a slot machine. It’s the hitting system in place.

Do people use that abbreviation as a joke to mock SDS or do we know that this is actually the hitting system in place?

All video games run on random number generation. It's the equation that decides what outcomes will happen. Basically when you swing at a pitch it's like pulling lottery balls, they throw in hitter stats with pitcher stats, and what you pull out is what happens.

There are definitely issues with RNG in this game, some people accept it, while others blame it for all their problems.

That’s why the crybabies post their complaints, to help SDS fix the issues. If we all just accepted the game as is every year, there wouldn’t be much incentive for SDS to put out something better.

Its not really an issue though. The game is going to have RNG. This game is chalk full of real issues, bad players on all star hitting the occasional home run with less than perfect pci placement is sooooo far down the list.

I'm fine with people bringing it up, just not over and over again whenever they lose a game.

The way the RNG is used in this game is quite stupid though.

Input and ratings can work hand in hand. But the way they have this game designed, they work against each other. No one thinks we should be able to paint corners with Michael Kopech all day. Ratings should effect the pitching meter and make it harder to get perfect releases, but perfect should be perfect every single time.

When your kicking a field goal in madden, does a bad kicker just shank perfect kicks on the meter? No, the meter is just extremely hard to hit.

When your shooting a 3 in 2k, does a perfect green release just randomly airball? No the shot meter is just harder to hit based on the players ratings.

This **** is fairly elementary. Attributes should impact the process, not just manipulate outcomes.

I know there have been loads of threads about hitting, so I'll apologize for adding another. However I wanted to share my thoughts on the issues were all experiencing and pass long ideas on how to begin fixing them.

Safe to say there are a number of things causing the hitting to be as bad as it is now, in my opinion one of the biggest obstacles for them to correctly balance hitting is the fact that everyone sees the ball incredibly well due to the strike zone camera(and anything similar). This camera became increasingly popular 3-4 years ago when people noticed a few youtube guys using it. Now its safe to say most of the online community is using that camera, and especially people here and on other popular forums. This game never had the random frustrating hitting results 3-4 years ago that we experience every game now a days. And by all accounts we seem to have a much better and more realistic hitting engine, its just tuned horribly.

I know people will disagree and some people might not have even read this far, people constantly claim that this camera somehow doesnt make them hit better and that they can still hit without it. Then why the hell does every single one of you use it? Because we all know its not for the great aesthetics it provides, because it makes the game visually hideous on the screen. Its because you see everything so much better than you do when using mlb 15 the show cam or something. Even good people used to chase pitches off the plate back then, now unless youre playing someone that just isnt very good, no one chases anything. Which when coupled with the nerfed pitching engine and lack of accurate strike calling really squeezes the zone. Everyone is Joey Votto and lays off everything a pubic hair off the plate.

My suggested fix:
Revert the hitting back to how it was when the game released. Clean up pitching and make the game respect the pitch location if we hit the meter accurately. Give us an event where the cameras are locked into a normal view and watch the results. I bet you get something much closer to the results you want, but in a way where the better players are rewarded for their input. For this experiment to work you cant restrict the even very much, but I bet you see an offensive decline in the event compared to RS without having to butcher the [censored] out of the game.

Now obviously this isnt the only issue impacting hitting as Ive said, and this game has grown immensely and probably has a wider range of players than it did just a few years ago, which definitely can make balancing tricky. I look forward to being either ignored because I wrote a book or just told Im wrong because of my unpopular opinion, but props for reading this far regardless haha.

Funny how quickly they are able to fix things that accidentally help us

Their next bs "fix" will be restarting again and telling us that even if you hadnt actually played that mini seasons, it was still loaded and ready to go of sorts and needed to be restarted again. Has anyone had an issue where you needed to restart 2-3 times?

Yes, because it is 2025, the internet is brand new, we should all have to spend 6 hours trying to put the code in for it to work.

They know everyone is going to try to put the code in now, that is quite literally why they have content streams, so maybe they should make sure their [censored] website/apps can handle the traffic.

The fact the "finest conquest" gives 0 finest cards or packs, and simply is just a way for them to give us more of the same stupid deluxe packs weve been opening and quick selling for 4 months is embarrassing.

Glad they found a way to give the Yankees 5 more cards though, definitely necessary even though they have twice the amount of legend/flashbacks as 90% of teams in the game.

3 years in a row of not being able to play this game online because of the [censored] servers. I take a lead in the first inning and then am given a random disconnect loss despite never disconnecting from the servers or my internet.

Why is it that I can work from home for 10+ hours a day or play warzone with 150 people in it and never even lag or show the slightest issue, yet this game hands me disconnect loss after disconnect loss for no reason?

Before someone says its an issue strictly on my end, ill repeat, I am hardwired and have zero internet issues on any other game/application. There are others like me that just cant play this game online. There is clearly some type of disconnect between this games [censored] servers and my internet, and Id love to know what it is.

Ok? In a mode where only offense matters, people are paying an entry fee but are regularly forced to pick pitchers and all glove fielders. Everything about this game is a random mess that lacks any forethought by the devs and it gets old so people complain in a place that they know has developer's eyes on it. Until(if) they fix it, people are going to complain about it.

Its atrocious, but as weve clearly learned over the last few days, they play test nothing and dont really care.

For me, I constantly have to close the game and re-open it because once I get to the pick difficulty and then start game screen, it doesnt let me start the game. Its pretty infuriating.

I am one of those people that get to work from home so Im pretty much done with everything available. The real issue for me though is that the program rewards go up to 1000. I dont even see how thats going to be doable. You barely get points for doing anything and there isnt enough playable content out or schedule to be released to get anywhere near that number. Daily missions are a joke, 2 points is nothing, the exchanges were given zero thought because they still have equipment exchanges for things that are now diamond only and selling for a [censored] ton, but yeah sure let me spend 40k on 2 program stars. That Kerry Wood program took about 8 minutes to finish.

It really wouldnt be hard to just give us some [censored] to do, even if theyre just stat missions or something(dont restrict them to online only).

Changing the UI makes the game look different even tho its 99% of it is copy/paste, try to trick people into thinking they changed things.

Cards and packs arent content. Content is stuff to do. Too many people consider these stupid packs as content.

I remember Madden back in the day let you keep playing against the AI in ranked games if you wanted to after the person quit. I was petty and bored enough that if you quit I would absolutely light the CPU up so that person would have like a 70-3 loss on their record.
