Yes, they are giving out good diamonds for free, but the ones you can get for free are 92s and 97s or a flawed 99. If you hope to remain competitive online at the higher ranks their will be a new 99 card you will need for another 80k stubs.

Add to all this that these cards will expire!!! At which point they get to dangle a new season collection and a bunch of new 99s in everyone face.

This years game is absolute garbage. The gamplay is fun, and I love baseball, but this feels like a money grab.

The free 97s aren’t good enough. How about the free 99s? This is why we can’t have nice things.

That said, I don’t like this version of this game either. But that’s because it’s too easy to get good players. I KNOW - unpopular opinion.

They couldn’t have made it easier to get good players without paying. If you spend money, I don’t know what you’re thinking.

Just got the boss pack on the spin and it’s nowhere to be found. Any ideas?

92 Diamond Captains are already outclassed by these ridiculous WBC cards. Why do I need to grind for them?

It's turned Diamond Dynasty, for anyone who plays online, into a battle of lineups full of 99s.

80% of the cards I see in Ranked games are the OP'd WBC cards. Mix in some of the 97s and 99s here and there. And the occasional SuperCharged Live Series cards.

Every team has Trout or Ohtani...or both.

The new two-way player nonsense has made Ohtani a reliever and a closer too. Starter - Ohtani - closer. That's what I see 80% of the time in Ranked.

If this is the way they are taking the mode, then they need some type of CAPPED mode. Like Battle Royale, but instead of drafting, you have a CAP to use for your lineup and you can use cards in your collection. 9 inning games like Ranked.

Use a cap with a certain number of Diamond/Gold/Silv/Bronze etc...or just use the ORGINAL Overall rating for the card.

26 roster spots...a team full of 99s would have a number of 2574. 99 multiplied by 26.

So set the cap number at different levels.

Do people really play this mode to just have teams full of 26 99's go against each other?!?!?!?

Shoot...calling some of these cards 99s is an understatement, when they often have 125s in multiple ratings. This has really gone off the rails.

I won't be playing much longer. And the game is basically brand new.

9 inning games are great, but 45 mins+ is often too long for people with lives. I know events and br games are 3 innings, but you can’t use your preferred team. Would be great if they had a ranked seasons with shorter games. The “World Series” rewards could be slightly less given that the games are shorter.

1. Why are some people so grouchy?

2. Two years ago, certain events were 6 innings. So this isn’t new. I don’t think people liked that (I didn’t) because events are supposed to be quick games, but if you’re set on having longer ranked seasons games then at least 6 innings is a compromise. (I’m not saying all ranked seasons games should be 6 innings. Just that it would be cool if there was an option for shorter ranked games).

3. You don’t like 6 innings but 3 innings is fine? Or should we get rid of 3 inning games because it’s not “real baseball”? So you’d prefer only 9 inning conquest/BR/events games?

4. “Real baseball” had 7 inning games last year in double headers. This is also how many innings a lot of youth baseball games are. 6 innings is a lot closer to “real baseball” than 3 innings.

5. Stating the obvious on this one: this is a video game - not “real baseball”.

6. Buddy who said this would make matchmaking worse at least brought up a good counterpoint. This isn’t something I’ve ever had an issue with but maybe it would compound things if you live in a rural area or don’t have the best internet.

1 - why are you so self indulgent? thinking that your opinion matters at all here? who cares what you think - you can come up with a million reasons why you want to play 6 innings - i think its stupid and i think your whole conversation is stupid - end of story and if it offends you, learn to understand that life isn't an echo chamber of positive affirmation - your bad idea should be called as such - learn from that and grow up a bit eh?

I don’t know why anyone would have an issue with an additional mode.

It dilutes the player pool that much further between modes and makes matchmaking more difficult.

You have issues with matchmaking?

It’s 45 minutes easy. I don’t know why anyone would have an issue with an additional mode. If you don’t want to play it, don’t play it. But it’s another option for those of us who can’t commit a ton of time to 9 inning games.

I think Hoffman is the easiest reliever to hit in every version of this game. Give me those 73mph change up meat [censored]. WBC Losaiga, Doval, Ohtani all decent. Charisma Lee Smith solid as always.

Gameplay is good. Hate the 97-99s available day one in DD. Couldn’t care less about the jukebox. My opinion.

It’ll go up. All live series 90s go up over time. Injury just means his rating won’t change, which makes his price more consistent. Same situation with Tatis last year.

Fair point. But this is more of an observation than a complaint. The way they’ve structured this year’s game makes CAPs pointless

Idk. I played a little this weekend. The motivation just hasn't been there for me this year. I just don't care for a whole year of stacked cards. I really liked the old way of doing things. I enjoy the early seasons when you don't have to face amazing pitchers everygame.

you realize its the same as every year right? These cards will evntually be replaced by better 99s, besides the game doesnt work properly with the low overall cards, high overall cards was how this game was meant to be played.

playing the game with low overall cards, once people get to HOF/legend and start seeing their flyballs die at the wall it turns in to complaining, then sds tries patching something, then it ends up breaking something else, this is the best thing for the game, besides 99 Kluber in 20 was legit avaible day 1 for free. Best MLB since 20.

And 99 Kershaw the year before. 99s early ruin the game. Never been more obvious than this year.
