even like 2/3 years ago, SDS was known for taking care of even the little things in their game that the other big developers like EA/2K would ignore. That's why they were so respected by gamers and the industry. Even a little thing like this would never happen.

But this year, there def was a change in a management. We clearly see it in DD on how poor DD is in 24, but must have been across the board. Because little inconsistencies like this were never seen in a SDS game. The old crew that ran things were a proud bunch who gave a [censored] about their product.

These new people, they give zero [censored] or they have no clue what the hell they're doing or probably both.

I don't play any DD or Ultimate Team online because its all about winning and exploiting the game.

But I have been recently playing a lot of h2h online non-DD and have had a much better time. Maybe 1/8 ppl there cheese but no where close to DD when I use to play online some years back.

ya i saw that too on PS5. Past years we were able to play into the WS. Not sure what's going on this year. Wouldn't be surprised if they just don't care - much like this entire MLBTS 24 game.

is this a glitch or is it SDS never got around to fixing H2H mode?

It's simple.
If you notice your opponent is smacking the absolute p1$$ out every pitch you throw it no longer matters how your defense goes. All that matters is you staying in the game and keeping a good offense.
It's called grieving. It's better than just quitting because it enables you to get your parallels, practicing your hitting skills, and still get a [censored] ton of XP all the while you're getting your 4$$ beat. Holy [censored] dude. Think critically instead of in one lane.
You're not thinking about how the griefer is thinking cause you don't do these types of strategies. Your too good to do that.

I can tell you it's far better to just throw the ball right down the middle and hope for pop ups and ground outs than working your [censored] off trying to make the perfect pitch but you end up getting walks or home runs against you instead. It's less frustrating that way.

Also, clearly none of you watch or actually pay attention to MLB games. They literally stop giving a [censored] when they are down double digits. That's why we see so many position players being subbed to pitch in the last half of the game. They throw meat balls and the game just keeps going

I never experienced this waste of time tactic playing this game. I just started playing online too. I kept batting because I thought the game was going to end. And it was also good batting practice for me if the guy quit.

not sure why you are so enraged by my post. it's a freaking video. maybe get out of the house more and enjoy life.

Game is trash but it's better to stay in the game grieving than to quit. You get significantly more exp just doing nothing and letting you mercy than they would quitting.

I dont care about Wins or Losses. All I want online is a good game with another player who plays baseball. Not some [censored] that wastes my time.

I got back into the game doing online h2h.

So some games, say I'm the home team, I play my online opponent and get out of the first inning.

When they pitch, all they do is pitch it down the middle. I score like 12/13 runs per inning.

I think they must have quit the game and the game hasn't caught up. But then when I go into the next inning, they are still trying to hit the ball when batting. meaning they are still playing down 12!

then I go to my bottom half, and same thing, just pitches down the middle to crash. I purposely strike out 3 times and pitch to them and they're still playing.

What is this about? Are they really playing the game because who would sit thru the other team scoring 10+ just to get ABs?

I use to be able to do this but when I click on 'Game' on the top right corner of this site it says MLB SERVERS not available every time.

Turned the game on first time in 2 months. Can someone tell me what the default hitting camera is for MLB24?

So me - been exclusively MLB THE SHOW DD player since MLB 17. And ya, this year extremely disappointed by MLBTS 24 DD.

Since Monday, CFB25 is absolutely the GOAT for sports games this year. It's replaced MLBTS for me as my exclusive sports title. I dobut I will even touch MLBTS 24 this year unless there's a huge turn around with DD but I doubt it.

Ya I know nobody cares but thought I'd share. Its like I dumped the old tired GF for the new Hot one! lol

I played a little today. There is a free 10 hour trial on gamepass. I only played one game, but it was fun.

I did the same thing. I also got 10 hours on PS5. I love it!

I liked in MLB 21 how for some of these missions, they had you actually play a real game and beat a team. I think some of the missions were like Beat the Padres on All Star Difficulty or higher for example. They haven't gone back to that since 21.

Agree with the OP - this 'Get HRs with 1B ' garbage is garbage. You don't even play baseball. It's like they force you to exploit the game and it's a huge waste of time.

SDS doesn't care about College Football or Madden as they will make their money at release when no other games really come out in the March/April time frame.

I don't see how anyone can say SDS is going to drop THE SHOW after this year. I think they have a deal with MLB for another 4 to 5 years make a game. So they can't stop making the game if they wanted to as it would break the contract.

Also, they're making a lot of money on the game so doubt they would just drop it.

If there was another developer making an MLB game you would have heard about it now. EA isn't making one as they have Super mega baseball already.

it's clear this year whoever is running DD has non clue what they're doing.

why am I not surprised. What a S**tShow this game has been this year for DD.

This is an issue that SDS really needs to address, as it is their professional reputation that is on the line here.

Alpha testing is where a dedicated group of people who, in this case, work for SDS, and are paid to extensively evaluate the fitness of revised game code by putting the game through a battery of tests that are designed to "wring out" the game to find things that are flawed. Since SDS makes games for a limited number of spec'd consoles, beta testing is less necessary in their case. The alpha team can test for each console the game is designed for.

Frankly, SDS needs to get with it!

To fix this issue, you reindex the numbers and names on the custom jerseys by going in to the uniform setup menu and reselecting the font for the numbers and names. This should force the revised code to reindex and place the numbers and names back where they belong. Of course, while easy to do for Diamond Dynasty custom uniforms, it is only available for your GM run team in the off season, and you would have to start your GM career over again to fix any other team uniforms.

yes i looked for that screen to edit the uniforms in franchise but I remember it was only when you started the franchise. so I guess I have to wait for the offseason to edit?
