this is happening right now with PGA 2K25. the pc players are shooting like -50 for online tourney's. It's completely unfair if you're on a console.

Xbox has released non gamepass games on cloud last year. Maybe they'll do it with MLB THE SHOW 25.

you can get gamepass free monthly. that's what I do. my workplace uses Bing so I connect it with my XBOX account and every month I get a free month of gamepass Ultimate.

Also, there are so many options out there to get gamepass ultimate discounted. cd keys for example always has big discounts on the sub. I don't think I've ever paid retail price for GPU.

the game servers were trash when it was only on playstation. worse actually.

usually buy both games since I get it free on gamepass and buy for ps5 later. but this year no gamepass.

game has been exactly the same on both consoles except for RTTS the PS5 controller has the outfielders yelling where to throw the ball thru the ps5 mic.

I probably will buy on XB first since I am use to the controller for this game. I do better with using the xb controller over the ps5 for the past games.

I think SDS knew that sets and seasons were not a hit like they expected so they knew scrapping it was the plan for 25. I also felt 24 was a filler because 25 would be a huge update in graphics and maybe a new engine. None of that came true.

Also remember 24 was the first game for this new team. And they managed to show us they have no idea what they were doing. maybe now this is their 2nd game they'll at least show us they've learned from their mistakes.

i dont think there is a way around it.

i hated MLBTS24 DD but been playing 24 this last week but only H2H online.

I'm having a lot of fun with it and it may change my mind about picking up 25 next month.

correct. a lot of us left too for CFB25. SDS no longer owns the entire summer. They need to get on top of their game from now on.

not too bad on the new features. small but nothing ground breaking.

-Ambush Hitting seems like a new name for Guess Pitch.
-GOAT Difficulty looks good.
-The new throwing blue bar, on one of the plays in the vid, I think it was Tatis, he threw the guy out at home with his momentum going backwards. Not sure about that one.

ps5 and xbox are the same exact game. I've had both for the last 3 years.

It just has a sharper appearance (like the "soap opera effect" with runaway HDR) when not much is happening, but if you watch a gameplay video (there are many) and actually see it in action for more than a brief second or two, it really starts to disappoint.

The swing animations are jerky and unrealistic, and there's a very noticeable hitch (maybe by design, but it's weird) when it transitions from the pitcher/batter screen to defensive play. The defensive play animations are flat out not good, and the player models that people rave about for some reason are stone-faced and unnatural looking close up. And what's going on with the lighting?

People complain a lot, here, about the graphics of MLBTS, and while I agree that there haven't been too many changes from one year to the next (but the hair thing mattered), it's still a very pretty game. I think people get a little too wrapped up in their Strike Zone camera angle and spend too much time staring at batters' crotches, never getting to see the facial expressions and swing animations... they're better than Professional Baseball Spirits. Zoom out a bit and enjoy it.

because ppl invest $500+ in new consoles and want to see the best graphics these machines can produce. It's a legit complaint.

After my heart attack last year, my life has been flipped upside down, and nothing is the same anymore. Since my risk is too high for bypass, I have to focus on building new arteries in my heart. That means a lot of exercise and no more sitting around. It’s cut my game time drastically.

I’m bummed 25 is not on gamepass. In the past, I’ve preordered for the PS, and bought copies for the Switch, and later XBX (usually for around $10). I’ve played it on gamepass until I bought my XBX copy (I like the feel of the XBox controller more). I know buying three copies is insane, but I was able to play whenever we visited our kids or travelling on the road.

Lately, I’ve been playing TA in 24 and absolutely loving the enormous amounts of XP, packs, and cards I’m getting. I just may wait to buy 25 until it goes on sale and begin playing in 2026.

If I get 25, it will be on XBX, and it will be during one of their sales.

First time in 9 years I'm not getting the game on release. Unless in the next month they show me some new features I think i'm just tired of the same DD modes.

Pretty much the same programs, moments, conquest, etc... I wish they overhauled everything or offered some more new DD modes to keep the game fresh.

I'll probably end up getting it up when it goes on sale too.

When I was looking at the two separate pre-order pages for Xbox and PlayStation, I noticed that on PS it says:

"Visual Improvements: Appreciate incredible high fidelity when you play on a PS5 console – including updated dirt and grass, combined with real-time physics, making for an advanced level of detail."

However, it doesn't say that on the Xbox pre-order page. I have both consoles and really prefer playing on Xbox. Are they serious here? I know SDS is part of Sony, but would they really unnecessarily hamstring Xbox graphics? Is this going to be a significant difference?

Related to that, I have been earning all the Now and Later packs in 24 while playing on Xbox. If there is truly a difference and PS is better, I would rather purchase on that console. I know the accounts can be linked, but every time I try to add PS to my TheShow account, it resets all my progress. That makes sense because I didn't buy 24 on PS. But if I bought 25 on PS instead of Xbox, would I lose all those Now and Later packs? Or, am I now required to play on Xbox in 25 to not lose those packs because my PS account wasn't linked while I was earning the Now and Later packs?

I'm just speculating, but I believe the Xbox Series X shares the same visuals as the PS5, while the Series S is slightly downgraded and is missing hair physics and reduced texture quality.

the last 3 years PS5 version and XB Series X versions were identical. But one thing I remember missing from Xbox Series S was the hair motion.

MS can still try to put MLBTS25 on cloud. They just did that a few months ago with select games that are not on gamepass. But I think it depends on permission from the publisher. I don't know if Sony would agree to have it available on XCloud. But if it is, then you can just buy the game and stream if from xcloud pc

not sure unless MS puts the game on cloud like they did a few months ago for games no on gamepass.

I'm going to say no as sony may not allow it.
