I feel the same. I saw it today and I was like I don't want to grind thru this. It sort of killed my excitement. Just feels like the same thing over and over. Maybe I should have taken a break from the game this year. No longer motivated.

Ive come to appreciate this game so much more.

This game is on another level.

For the ones that sometimes get tired of it since it's all you play - go play an EA game and come back - you'll just appreciate this game so much more.

Offline DD just sucks this year. And I'm one of those people who post 10/10 positive posts about this game and always defends it.

Getting rid of the Topps Now and Lightning series as they were in previous years really took the sails off the offline DD grind. The new weekly program I can finish in an hour and the Lightning reward is just like any ordinary reward. Unlike in previous years where you had to grind and play specific players in the lightning program.

Also this year, the game doesn't make you learn about the new weekly topps now players. You can just play with week 1 or week 2 guys and never have to change your lineup to use the new guys. I know you can do it but I liked how they made you do it in previous years.

But ya, this year not sure what's going on with DD for offline. The entire mode has been underwhelming this year. I also finished up the TA1 and TA2 but really not looking forward to TA3. I'm at a point in the game where I'm not even looking forward to the Friday updates anymore.

Ok, I think i'm f'n done w this game. And I'm one of those so called fanboys who defends this game 10/10 posts.

1.Whoever took DD over this year needs to be launched to the moon! It's quite obvious that a new management has taken the mode over because it is the absolute worst it's been in this series.

2.The old guys seemed to have been soft-fired.

Ramone - All I see of Ramone now is cameo's on the Negro Leagues stuff. It's like they just shoved him aside and told him to work on just that part of the game.

Luis - I had not seen him in ages until the stream today. And he looked like he was in some hostage situation while he was talking.

Rich(??) - I dont know if that's his name but he was the guy the last 5 years always with Ramone and Luis. Does this guy still work for SDS? I have not seen him this past year.

Twins Fan guy - forgot his name. looks like shaggy from scooby-doo. Haven't seen him either.

I know people complained about these guys for years BUT AT LEAST THEY HAD THEIR S**T TOGETHER!!!!!

College Football 25 Can't get here fast enough!

Did they just forget about this mode? In previous years we had a variety of mini seasons other than classic and TA. I remember all lefties mini season, or all righties mini seasons, or all gold mini seasons, and many more.

None of those this year and we're in July almost.

We all know what a disaster DD 24 was. I am so glad the developers listened to the gamers and have learned from their mistakes.

Got the game at pre-launch and was pretty content w 25 DD. Not too bad and not too good. But now with this New Threads program, man I am having so much fun. It's like old school DD once again.

Ofc you do the moments, some which are really easy and really hard. Then I like how they put in the optional player missions. What's great about this is all those live series cards I've been collecting the last 3 weeks, well some of them are of use!

I had guys like Kepler, Pressley, Kim, etc... already in my collection. So it's great just plugging them into the lineup to complete the mission. And there are some guys who are on the optional list but I cant fit into the lineup. A lot of old school DD strategy and management in this program is wonderful!

And I love discovering new live players thru this program. For example, at Catcher I started with JT and he wasn't doing it. Then I put in Sally and while he gave me occasional power, he was not that great and he was so slow around the bases. Then I put in Kyle Higashioka because I had him and he was one of the optional player missions for the program. Put him in just to collect XP for that mission. but man, this guy can rake! For a 74 Live player he's the best catcher I've used so far NMS in 25! Im promoting him on my 'Live' team to catcher once this program is complete.

So very very happy so far. And the conquest maps have been terrific too. I saved the GrapeFruit map for the weekend and I'm glad I did. I will try to finish this program off by playing the grapefruit map. I haven't even really checked out Diamond Quest yet.

I play the online modes once in a while (Events and BR) but I have a career job and just don’t have the time to invest into ranked seasons. That means I play the single player modes the majority of the time - including RTTS.

As of right now, not including a few of the gold and diamond programs in RTTS, I’ve already completed everything available for the offline modes. The game is so boring right now that I’ve even completed every Conquest map.

To make matters worse, the game doesn’t feel rewarding. Out of the 37 Live Series diamond players available at the moment, I have exactly 4 of them — and 1 card was purchased on the marketplace. Given that I’ve completed all of the “Other Programs” (except Stages 2 and 3 of the April Series, of course), all of the Showdowns, the Conquest maps and 3 full Mini Seasons, you can imagine how many packs I’ve opened along the way. I’ve even played the Mystery Conquest map about 15-20 extra times because it’s a quick and easy way to get 5 The Show packs for free.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t remember the game being so boring and unrewarding when The Show 21 was released. I know it’s early but something needs to change. The odds say we have a 1 in 50 pack chance to get a diamond player but that’s a load of bullsh*t! On one occasion, I opened 108 packs before I pulled a diamond player and I’m currently on 86 packs without a diamond pull. On top of that, out of all the Ballin’ is a Habit packs I’ve opened - I’m still sitting at 1 diamond player from those packs and 0 diamond pulls from Headliners packs.

When you combine all of this with the many lazy-assed copied and pasted card images from The Show 21, I’m really disappointed in the replayability and the lack of effort put into the game.

At the very least, they could give offline players a replayable Showdown like they finally added last year so we can earn cards for winning and sell them for stubs on the marketplace.

Sorry for the length … I don’t comment very often but wanted to vent a bit.

Whoever thought of doing a team specific program was really off the mark.

I have no interest in this 2nd inn program this year. I have no interest in the Phillies or their history and players. I don't hate the Phillies, but its not a team I am interested in. And why the Phillies of all teams? Its not a nationally recognized team like say the Yankees or Dodgers.

Anyway, first time in 6 years playing DD I have no interest. I usually like to do all the program missions but screw it w/ this program. Don't feel like doing multiple pitching missions w/ Halladay or any of these guys.

Just wanted to say that. Im sure Im not the only one feeling this way. Hopefully we see no more team specific programs thru the 22 cycle.

Yes me too. Been playing DD since 17. Not sure what it is. Maybe overwhelmed. Maybe need a break. But I don't want to grind anymore. Feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over and over. showdown - conquest - some online - rinse and repeat

I’ve refused to grind this year. The only thing I’m doing is the weeklies moments and I’m only playing ranked to see how I go.

I’ve literally only got about 10-15% of TA1 done 0-5% of TA2.

I now feel pressured as my team is still set 1 heavy

It ain’t for the casual unfortunately.

I've also sort of given up on TA this year.

I only have been doing the special programs like Kaiju, Mexico series, WBC type . Those are fun because it's a more manageable grind for me.

i just started playing online so you can play me. i'm not that good.

i don't quit either even if i'm down 10-0. i just like playing. online is still a new experience for me and I am liking events right now.

Did SDS forget NCAA FB is coming back this year in July? When that game is out MLBTS24 will be collecting dust for me for 2-3 months. If it was like previous years w the programs I would play both. But if it continues like this, probably going to play NCAA all the time.

I really liked this online mode last year. I agree with you it has much more strategy than DD online. Not sure why they keep taking features and options away yearly. I know it's not a money generator but why subtract. All we've been asking for in this mode for years is the option to choose jerseys. We don't get that and now this.
