I was having the same problems but I noticed a workaround. Instead of going thru the player’s edit screen, go to where you can select like Power I, Contact 1, etc then scroll down to add your equipment that way. That’s how I got mine to stick

I tried this as well but unfortunately for my issue, it won't let you equip the standard compression sleeve there ( only the branded ones ). 😞

They need to make it available for Create a Player so it can be used in Franchise.
