I've noticed since MLB 20. these new timing window system has ruined the experience of online play. If you queue into a game that's laggy and you facing a outlier pitcher. It becomes a game where who can get lucky. To even have a chance to hit a fastball you have to guess the spot and swing early. This is a game I want to enjoy, but this is a game killer. Its so inconsistent game to game. You can have a game where it feels normal, than play a game where you feel like your underwater and no matter what you do your late on a fastball. Please implement a connection strength at pitchers lobby before you queue. Kinda like on FIFA so we can at the very least queue into a game with good connection. Timing is crucial in baseball games. Please consider.

I like the event to pitch with pitcher that will never in a million years see the line up and to not worry about destroying my starters era

They should change Ohtani slider to a slurve to probably replicate the break on his slider. His slider is garbage as of right now.

Apparently when you call mound visit and check the the bullpen. It counts as 2 mound visits, and your force to change your pitcher, I lost a game yesterday because I was forced to bring in a pitcher that wasn’t warmed up, please fix ASAP.

He’s going thru a horrible slump right now. I hope they don’t downgrade him. His track record is too great. Give him at least 2 more updates to turn it around before you downgrade him.

Yes There’s was flaws but that game had me coming back everyday. The first year Griffey was in the game, they rewarded you with stubs the more you played and cumulated stats. First year of events and they actually gave you worth while cards. 17 was content was special.

I’ve been playing MLB the show every year since MLB 12. I have to say IMO there’s hasn’t been a consistent string of shows that been enjoyable in a long time.

I’m one of the many stopped playing this year and haven’t missed this game.
For one no baseball=less motivation to play but the main reason is the horrible gameplay this year. I’m not going to get into specifics, we already know how horrible the gameplay is currently. I’m speaking from a online standpoint, if you a lot offline player, the game is much more playable.

But im going rate online play year thru year starting the first year on PS4 to now. Including DD.

MLB14- Online Unplayable lagfest-Stopped playing in may.

MLB15- improvement. game was playable DD was coming on-Played on and off all year.

MLB16- The game that got me hooked on DD. Gaming play was hard but rewarding. There were issues but the game was fun- Played all year.

MLB17- My personal favorite. I spent almost 1000 hrs on this game. Content was great. Just lates HR were a flaw but the game was so fun I couldn’t stop playing.- Played all year

MLB18- Huge step back. Souvenirs, Big PCIs, Slow pitch speeds killed the gameplay for me. Content was too much of a grind- Stopped playing in June.

MLB19- The Best MLB content wise. Pitch speeds was fixed. The lines outs were annoying but pitching and defense was consistent- played all year.

MLB20- Content is still solid, but this the quickest I put down MLB. The gameplay is the most inconsistent it’s ever been. Pitching, and fielding is horrendous. Timing Windows inconsistent game to game- Stopped playing mid April.

This is just my opinion. I know that there’s people that will play this no matter what. I just wanted to share my views and opinions on this.

Check swing spam should have consequences. The more you check swing the more likely you swing thru no matter if you lightly press the button.

It’s so bad. It’s why I’m not playing another game until patched.

Anyone that blow they stimulus on this broken game needs to reevaluate their life.

I’ve played a ton of online games and I can say this is by far the worst show since 18. . Fielding is the MAIN deal breaker. I have diamond outfielders costing me games because they don’t wanna lock on to a fly ball. That alone makes it horrible. Say what you want about 19. At least I was able to play that game until August. Another horrible thing about this game is the timing Windows. I’m either very early or very late on the fast ball. I’m playing on a monitor too! It screws up my timing because it’s so inconsistent game to game. The random hanging pitches down the middle. The horrible base running. I find myself raging at the tv, every time I play. Not because I lost or losing the game. It’s because so much bs is happing outta my control because this game is in such a broken state. I don’t find myself enjoying it this year,

A problem no one is talking about. I don’t know if it’s just me but I can’t time the fastball to save my life. It’s wildly inconsistent. It’s not the pitch speed. I have no problem with the speed. It’s timing Windows. I’m playing on a 1ms monitor and I’m either too early or too late on the fast ball or sinker. It’s screwing with my approach at the plate. Cuz I’m trying to figure out my timing. I’ve never in all MLB the shows struggled hitting the fastball. I don’t know if it’s just me and I’m on a massive slump or other people feel the same way.

The meta is to have all sinkerballers in your lineup and bullpen. IRL a high sinker is a meatball. It flattens out and it’s straight. In MLB the show it’s come out looking like a off speed because of the loft out the hand then it blows by you. Sinkers been the
best pitch in the game for years. Low sinkers should buffed and high sinkers should flatten out and have a exit velocity increase. How is this aspect haven’t been sorted yet?

God it’s punishing. Makes last year legend feel like All star. If you get behind on legend good luck coming back.. tiny pcis, Low vision guys is non viable. Mediocre players be happy you don’t experience this side of the game.

Cutters are hit and miss for me. I’ve had games where it’s the most effective pitch. And games where I’ve given up 4 bombs throwing it.

I don’t know if this happened to anyone else. But it’s been a few, not all TA packs at 45 stars not redeeming after a game. It says I redeemed it but it’s not in my open packs. Anyone else encountered this?

I love it so far. I was able to paint with Max Scherzer. And it exposes center swingers. I had so many caught looking Ks because before the patch, bums use to lay off everything in the corners and wait for a meatball. Now you can paint it forces them to offer at close pitches which opens up pitching. Hitting is still the same, but it’s a step in the right direction. Pitching was brutal before the patch.
