It is quite obnoxious that they don't tell us how many parts an event is. I get the impression this one is a 1 part, getting 20 wins isn't terrible and the rest is for the grinders. It seems like a very easy plug into the "event info" section of the event.

This event has been tougher than normal for me as I think many casuals are sitting it out because HOF difficulty, it seems every game I'm facing someone with a 42-20 ranked seasons record and every game is a sweat. I have yet to get the guy that's 9-14 that swings at curves in the dirt every pitch.

There are boat loads of one stubbers out there with no life that will sit there for hours on end undercutting by one stub to make profit. Not everyone wants to sit there and get one stubbed for hours to try and get a sale.

I recently had a game I was up 6-0 in the first, lost connection, and I was given the loss. And to be clear, I didn't disconnect...it was the other guy. My guess is he turned off his PlayStation. But that was my only connection issue

I try not to be too critical generally, but I'm having way too much good good contact result in 88 mph exit velocity fly outs to medium deep OF. Pitches that are squared up very well that would have been 100+ exit velocity 2 days ago. At the same time, I had 2 home runs about an hour ago that the pci was completely off the ball...on a slurve from osuna. I'm not sure what happened, I would like them to revert back to 2 days ago. I don't mind if they shrink the pci a bit or speed up the pitches so hitting isn't so easy...but good pci placement and timing should result in good contact.

Servers have been notably better for me the last 2 days. Not perfect yet, but much better. Good to know some gameplay bugs were also being looked at while servers were top priority.

One thing i noted right away, most of the hitting ones you start with a guy on base. I will agree they are generally easier and faster. I'm working through NL right now. One of the 2nd tier ones for example was to score 3 runs in 3 innings...but they start you with bases loaded in the 1st. I hit a single and then a HR and was done...easy peasy. But even without the HR I could have manufactured at least 2. The toughest was the 1st one so far, scoring I think 2 runs off Sixto Sanchez. There was a moment against the Brewers where you needed 3 hits AND 3 strikeouts, so one side of the ball wasn't a complete waste of time.

Also worth noting, you get 2 diamonds right off the bat instead of 1...which is generally nice. I went Yelich and Rollins

2nd showdown is vs Tom Glavine, needing only 3 runs and 15 outs. I forgot to check if it's veteran or all-star. But regardless that's easy. Also you start with a guy on 2nd.

Yes, they were down, for a matter of seconds, they're already up again.

Sometimes, when you are running a game for millions of people, you have to turn things off for a few seconds in order to make them better. We will all be ok with this 72 second inconvenience.

It's not about facts brown noser it's about making sure the people who paid extra early are getting what they paid for, a functional early access game is not too much to ask for. This is why they delayed beyond opening day, to address these issues. There are companies that stress test servers for big launches and apparently SDS didn't do their homework.

Find another studio to kiss up to company boy

Edit: That 30 seconds to 2 minutes is enough to kick people out of 9 inning games and tedious moments so they have to redo those annoying moments.

Brown nosing? Company boy? Someone must not understand compassion and empathy. Sorry man, that's a tough way to live life. I hope you find a way to cope with this difficult 2 minute break from the game. Tough stuff, I know.

Aside from the server issues, I really like the game as well. I really like what they did with TA. Going team by team was a huge pain, going by division is so much more reasonable. Accumulating 250 innings with NL central players is so much more reasonable for example than 250 innings with pirates players. Overall the content is really good, and I'm really not surprised by issues considering the cross platform and next gen from 20 to 21. It's kinda insane actually how much work must have gone into this years game. I'm sure server issues will resolve in due time, it's always a bit rough at launch.

How do you get double XP when you can't even get on the servers?

The worst part is, it's really a great game. Probably my favorite game they've put out the last 5 years...server issues are just wrecking it. I can't imagine how bad it will be tomorrow and over the weekend

It's very tough to predict what's going to happen. If you're happy with the price you'll get, sell now. I personally am sitting on an enormous pile of stubs...but I'm waiting a couple days before I start buying stuff because I'm expecting a crash. I very well could be wrong...use your best judgement and do what you think is best.

Yup, exact same issue. It's basically unusable right now. I even found webapp to be slow. Console is best right now in my opinion.

Well it's pretty much ruining the game, but no need for hate mail.

How is it ruining the game?

You can flip literally everything. Live series, legends, flashbacks, prospects, equipment, sponsorships, stadiums, etc. Find the margins and have a bankroll. Nobody is going to give you a magic formula. I'll add you can make a significant amount of stubs just playing the game. It really isn't as critical to flip cards this year as it was prior years to get a solid team.

Unrelated to drops, you guys maybe should say something to the players about avoiding swearing on their streams. A few friends of mine initially had their kids watching the streams, but won't anymore because way too many F bombs.

Yeah but they are ambassadors for the mlb and they probably should speak like the kids who look up to them are listening. Just my opinion.

I see both sides here. It's their own time, their own channel, etc. If I streamed, zero chance I could avoid swearing.

That said, as noted above, these guys are held to a higher standard considering their status. Do you think they'd curse at an autograph session with a 6 year old? The only difference is, there could be dozens if not hundreds of young children watching these streams rather than just one. You'd think they would want to maximize viewership, the cursing certainly doesn't increase viewers, but definitely has decreased viewership a bit already.

I'll add, this is just my opinion as well. Some people might think the swearing is fine and their choice. I just wanted to add my 2 cents...hoping it will at least get seen and considered.

I suspect you can do them regardless, but the vibe I got is you can only use the vouchers once you get to stage 2.
