MLB The Show 25 is greatly improved over last years edition. Graphics are better and the difficulty is much improved. I play mostly against the computer and last year's version I'd pitch shutouts regularly on Legend mode- this the competition is improved just playing with Hall of Fame difficulty. The match is more even.
I still get a wow moment everytime the game boots up and I get a shot of the stadium - graphically its amazing. Thanks Sony for another great year of baseball.

They also need to fix base runners stopping between 1st and 2nd base when a ball is hit to the outfielders for a hit.

My first impressions are good. The gameplay is much improved and the graphics continue to shine and are stunning. Every time I played last years version I was awe struck looking at the stadium graphics and that reaction continues with '24. Broadcast sounds the same with a little added commentary. Hitting seems improved slightly (as expected) and the pitching and fielding is much improved.
I don't understand comments that state the game is broken (complain just to complain). The game is great and is alot of fun. Plus the added historical parks and Bernie William (burn baby burn) are a bonus (how bout Ebbets Field next year). Keep up the good work!!!!

Garphics in MLB 23 are great. For the most part it plays wll though the difficulty settings espcially h=going from All Star to HOF is all to barely nothing, and legend pitching is way to easy. Human pitching is great painting corners or throwing a backdoor slider.I wish the difficulty when playing against the computer which I mainly do was more n=balanced.

Does anyone notice how easy pitchig is. I'm playing competitive, legion with pitching cpu cranked up to 7 or 8. I pitching shut outs with mid tier pitchers. In contrast I'm getting 10 -19 hits per game on all star setting, sliders on human all set to 5. When I w=switch to Hall of Fame with human sliders upped to 6 , I get hits , 1 or two runs or no runs , an d no home runs.'

Seems stealing is alot easier in this version. Also, on Dynamic difficulty, I'm at Hall of Fame plus, and almost every game is a shut out . Pitching at the higher difficulty is easier this year.
Game play is solid though. Thoughts?

Allstar hitting
Pitching: Dynamic until Hall of Fame + is reached. Then turn dynamic slider to zero (thank you Operation sports for the intel). Sliders are all set at 5 other than for the adjustment mentioned. -
It an upgrade from last years version. I buy the new version because I enjoy the game tremendously. Only complaint this year is that the analog fielding is super sensitive and the amount of errors is rediculous, even with the meter turned off.

I'm a patient man. Been playing the Show for several years. I know with a new game there are bugs that have to be worked out. But the fact that my short stop and Ssecond baseman can make 10 throwing errors. on almost all routine grounders makes the game unplayable and unacceptable. On analog metered it happens quite frequently. Even when i take the meter off and or turn sliders down to no throwing errors it still happens. Please fix this.
Also the sounds within the game this year sound muted. The crack of the bat is dull sounding.

Ps5 graphics are much improved. Game is more fluid. Hitting seems more difficult. Pitching don't throw it down the middle.
-
I play All Star pitching and I move the cpu sliders up one notch. I also have hitting set to Veteran with sliders up one notch. Gives pretty good balance. I lose as much as I win
-
I play Hall of Fame with the sliders for CPU up 1 or two notches/ Seems to provide the best balance.

It seems to have worsened with last update. The other issue issue is after the player blunders the ball (fails to lock on, bounces of their body, etc) then getting the player to where the ball is a difficult task. Player navigation is querky and difficult.
-
Post application of fix 1.08 - fielding is very glitchy. Players direction change is choppy and herky jerky. Sometimes they even miss catching the balls. Whens patch 1.09 coming - hopefully soon
-
Does anyone know if the players released as a diamond card can be used in franchise mode?
-
I agree only after SDS released the three patches - the game plays closely to 2018 and 2019. I like the faster play option now - it actually plays faster. Diving for balls seems a little off from 2019 but its workable. Pitching and hitting are prettu improssive. Won two pitcers duels , 1-0 and 2- recently playing franchise. Love this game.
-
I was critical of this game early on (throwing errors etc), but the patches applied have made a difference and I think the game plays closely to '18 and '19. I play Franchise and won a of pitchers pitchers duels ,2-1 , 1-0. Thanks again SDS.

Outstanding commentary on Dunkin vs Starbucks. Give Nespresso a shot. A step above Dunkin in price and quality but certainly less in price than Starbucks and better tasting to boot. Once you get over the investment in the machine, the return on quality is a win win.

Frozen- I had Michael Young at short and a weak line drive was hit to him, he froze and it bounced off his head. Not kidding. It was pretty funny.

Lay off low pitches and swing for the high strikes
My two cents
Headfirst slide into 1B almost every-time

Can you create a two-way player?
Just want to say thanks!
