Does anyone else feel like from the card art (42 series, 40/40 Soriano card) and the UI we’ve seen for 21 looks very lackluster and lazy? The Soriano card gives me Mr.Rogers Neighborhood vibes with the colors and background and don’t even get me started on the attribute bars on cards those are horrendous. Diamond dynasty to me is the best when you collect BASEBALL CARDS not fantasy cards which were cool at first but I feel like have lost their shine and glory. To me I think that Soriano card shown off yesterday is the ugliest mlb the show card I’ve ever seen. Please SDS go back to your roots next year and just make the card art Topps baseball cards, some of the designs like 2002, 2011, 2014, 2018 etc, are all better designs than ones you can come up with (except finest those designs are always fire).

Please go back to your roots of MLB the Show SDS where it’s a Card Building game and taking your baseball cards and bringing them to life against other baseball cards. Mlb 16 and 17 are regarded as the two best MLB the show games and they use single season cards. The worst mlb the show game ever? MLB 18, the first year there was a card released (immortals) that weren’t single year cards. Same problem in 19, all the good cards were made up signature series cards and mlb 20 had the problem of FS cards which were JUICED, some cards getting one awards or SS when they deserved more (99 Ortiz could’ve got a juiced Impact veteran 2016 card, 95 Tom F-ing Glavine SS) at least prime cards were actual baseball cards that’s fine but bring back actual baseball cards please. MLB 16 was my first year playing mlb the show and it was an amazing experience because the cards you earned in that game, most of them I had in real life and the feeling of unlocking 96 Prince Fielder while having that card in real life is something that was so cool. That’s gone now, because now you do a [censored] program to get a SS Larry Walker like yay not even a cool card art design. Please SDS bring back single year cards and get rid of the fantasy/stat accumulation cards

Please sony get rid of this dog [censored] game mode and never speak or show it ever again. This is the most frustrating, [censored] pulling, annoying game mode I have ever played in my god forsaken life. Dark Souls is a frustrating game but BR takes the cake for game that kicks you when you’re down and then takes your lunch money too. No skill to this game mode, play for 6 hours then lose to some BS while you’re 11-0. Hit well for 11 games then square everything up and just constantly lineout and get shafted by exit velos. Also frustrating when your only hits are late/early/very late and your opponents hits are these aswell and get 5 late hits in a row. Change this game mode to “Try not to throw your controller into the next county over because of how dog [censored] this game mode is.” Thank you

Appreciate it. I didn’t go into a lot of details as to what was wrong with each item. Figured most people in the community know what they are and don’t like reading long entries anyways. Am happy to go into more detail if requested. I think a lot of us are frustrated because for all its fault, we love and enjoy the game, and want to see it be as great as possible. Despite its faults, it is the number one sports game on the market.

Agreed #1 sports game but does have big flaws. Seems like every year either gameplay improves a ton but content or other issues arise or it’s the other way around. Frustrating but they seem to fix a lot of things each year

One thing I’m sad about this year is that unlike mlb 17 or 18, there really isn’t an abundance of silver and gold flashback cards. Yeah there’s the prospects and the free ones from the xp reward path but that’s about it. The 75-79 silver flashbacks and gold flashbacks really give BR and events some life. BR this year just feels like getting the 2 diamond rounds and just picking live series glitchy players and then maybe a couple gold/silver flashbacks. remember last year we had cards like 78 Logan Morrison? That card demolished in BR and he doesn’t have a card. Those little cards you get that are 75-79 flashback cards you take for granted. I like them personally because it gives more variety and they are actual baseball cards that reflect their year they had which I think is the biggest problem with mlb the show the past 3 years. Go back to single year cards and the game will be x10 better. (Oh yeah and maybe fix the gameplay too while you’re at it)

Edit: I was going to revise mine with Maddux and Rollins split. I shut out all of the HOF NL divisions 18 innings straight. I ran an all diamond infield along with his diamond fielding and NOTHING got through

Maddux has got to be the first pitcher where I feel like I have had complete control of the game and made THIS AI feel absolutely clueless
