So yeah i just completed conquest for the 7th time and decided to record stubs/xp gained and post game rewards just check the pic below.
Why repeat conquest and is it worth it?
-
This map alone i started at level 50 silver and ended up hitting level 55 silver so the XP to begin with is phenomenal.

1 full round of conquest takes 5-6 hours. ~4 hours of gameplay and 1-2 is actually spent in the map depending on how many turns you take, obviously this is alot faster if you play above rookie.
-
The main point for grinding conquest however is the created player stat missions batting lead off you will always get 2 ABs, assuming you hit .500 that's 30 hits per conquest map aka 5 full maps to get the 150 hits per position.
-
Another nice bonus is the addition of team affinity, say you're grinding the Nationals and you stack the team with 8 Nationals plus your created player, from the 30x 3 inning games you will gain 720 innings which is nearly 15 team affinity points per conquest map completed. There are 180k stubs and 270 standard packs to be gained if you were to complete all team affinities to 70/70 so this is another reason to grind conquest or March-October / Showdown... I just prefer conquest while i'm grinding my created player stats but the other 2 are far more efficient if you're only grinding affinities.
-
How did i nearly forget? The 10 standard packs for completed the map each time is brilliant, from my 7 conquest completions so far i've pulled 4 diamond players and a diamond "legendary call" item which went for more than any of the diamond players.
-
Also you gain 1 1st inning program star per game so that's 30 stars per map (i'm currently at 590 trying to grind for the 1000 before the 2nd inning) At 600 and 950 stars you get a prospect choice pack, i believe the best players in those packs sell for 50k+. You will also gain an extra 40 standard packs, a classic stadium and a balling is a habit pack on your journey to 1000 stars.
Strategies / Tips
-
At the very start always go straight to the Rockies and complete this game on all-star, then fill in the space north-west... Head to Seattle and do that game on veteran after this the remaining 28 games are available to do on rookie. Completing the map i always do the north west corner, then head south so the entire west end of the map is completed then gradually head east. Near the end of the map you'll most likely be facing Boston about 8-10 times, Johnson is their tragic LHP with awful stats so stack your lineup with RHB.
-
Pitching... ALWAYS use your 5th best SP this will make it so you come up against your opponents 5th best starter, why face Sale or Verlander when you can face Johnson or Urquidy. Also pitching related use pitchers with fast wind-ups such as Strasburg as a starter then Yates or Isringhausen from the pen for 2nd/3rd innings it saves so much time.
-
After getting 2-3 runs you can bunt for early outs... However you do get more XP for hits / runs, so what i do after getting a few runs is just normal swing and over-run the bases which means you still get the hit but also get an out its alot better than bunting and also gives your players good stats, it'd be triggering to see Soto hitting .100 because i was bunting 90% of the time.
