Jansen is fantastic but you can't get too predictable with him. I tend to get in lots of trouble whenever I start spamming pitches away with him to righties and in to lefties. But he's incredibly easy to locate pitches with and his pitch mix with his per 9s make him far and above any other reliever in the game.

The game I played today was on all star difficulty and I wanted to run a couple tests. What I found was that you could get 100mph pitches but get different times to react. As I stated in my tweet here, there are times when I got a 100mph fastball and got 0.87 seconds to react to it. I’d get another 100mph fastball and would have 0.17 seconds to react.

In my opinion, I think this is what is causing the funky timing windows with hitting. Let me know your thoughts! Any retweets would be appreciated as well!

A "12 PCI" is rating on how the PCI placement is for a ball that's hit. 12 is decent, 15 is the highest number you can get before getting a perfect rating.

Basically, the OP is saying his opponent is getting a ton of hits off mediocre PCI placement. I can totally believe it without even watching any video, this game is very similar to last year's hitting.

MadBum is always buns in this game. I'll be happy to have the card, especially when a large collection comes around but he's not very viable in the game.

Yeah, these perfect/perfect foul balls might be one of the most frustrating things in this game.

After facing him a few times, I really don't want him at all.

Get those Team Affinity cards if you haven't already. No sense in being left behind when more stages come along. There's some good cards in there, as well, unless you've got all collections done.

Okay yes, but on the second video the runners automatically ran without me telling them to do so, so the chances of my guys running automatically on the first video are very high.

Yeah, that's definitely some bad luck/animation. I was mainly referring to the first one.

I rarely ever see what happens in your 2nd clip.

I think the main issue is that when he becomes affordable for most players, there's more than likely going to be much better options over him. Especially if people are focusing on the live series collection and especially the National League. Soriano will be a better option than Jackie no matter what. At that point, the only reason to spend the stubs on Jackie is if you really love him or there's a big collection mid-game.

I've beaten numerous teams with Soriano/Ortiz/Chipper with my squad that isn't nearly as good. I'm not even that good of a player.

I'm not sure exactly what your complaint is: you say they get BS hits but also say they get hits when inside the PCI.

It's not on the content schedule yet, so I'd imagine it'll be after 4th of July at least. Probably closer to the All Star break.
