2 other people think otherwise
I played you recently in an event game. Thought the name was familiar.
But as I predicted this morning, this will not be his last 99. Expect a fully juiced Retro Finest later in year. This is âMays Lightâ
Two 99s of the same player?
Yeah. They made it pretty clear on the last stream that would be the case this year
But what attributes do they increase/decrease to make a 99 OVR Retro Finest, as an example, better than this 99?
I assumed Overalls were calculated by adding all 17 hitting attribute together and then dividing by the number of attributes (17); but for Mays that came out to an 88.
But that could also mean that the Ovr of a card and it's attributes are just numbers that SDS makes up. But I don't think that's the case.
If they increased his Contact and Power on both sides to 125; wouldn't they have to decrease something else on the new card to make it a 99? Because if they didn't; then this current version isn't a true 99.
Showzone has a True overall calculator. For example Griffey's true overall is a 98.something and Brett is 107.something. And attributes aren't averaged out, different positions weigh fielding differently and Contact vs. R is weighted heavier than anything else. Putting anything with triple digits on the card would just look awkward. 99s greatly differ sometimes
