Need to see more. Next Saturday, I'll look at streams from the early players to see what the game looks like. The buildup to this edition has been horrible which means the actual game will probably be the best ever.

Dude, I'm 56 and still grinding on the this game! Now, I buy it because I like to play offline franchise seasons (all 162 games). So I just adjust my sliders a little and it's enjoyable. I play online some and I've noticed I'm struggling more this year more than ever, with hitting. Too me, my plate discipline is the culprit. But it's not a big deal to me because online is just a diversion for me.

After playing about 30 games of my franchise, the only thing better in this game is the bat sounds.

I play franchise and I'm about 20 games into my season. What is going on with the periods where the whole stadium just goes quiet? Happens in every game I play between pitches. Please fix this. Anyone else experienced this? Oh, and the stats listed for the batter during games come from a parallel universe (doesn't match up). Very disappointed in this edition. Product quality has slipped.

Ok, so I have been a playing it for a few days now and I will qualify my impressions with the following facts. First, I've been a Show player since '08 and ,second, I play mainly Franchise offline; a full 162 game season.

1. The first thing that I noticed was the bat sounds are so much better. Solid hits just sound different.
2. Crowd sounds are still a little off. Sometimes it's eerily quiet when there should be noise and vice versa.
3. I haven't experienced the fluency of throwing that was supposed to be improved in this edition- no pausing in relay throws etc.
4. As has always been the case, the stat lines for my Franchise team are so off it's like they come from an alternate universe.
   The game basically looks like 19. The only major improvement in presentation that stands out are the sounds and ,if you have a high end TV, the colors seem improved.
5. The awkward plays are still there. For example, the opponent hits a ball to your 1st baseman and he catches it and just stands there in a fog.
   Overall, I still enjoy the game and it's about what I expected

It is. Two guys I've played online were using it and I hate it. There doesn't appear to be a way to not play people who use it, either.
