We lost Tim Raines, but we got his clone back

I think people didn’t understand what I was saying, basically SDS wants you to play the baseball game and earn stubs by playing a baseball video game, not playing a stock market simulator app game while sitting on your couch watching Netflix and doomscrolling. That’s the main reason for a lot of this change you’re seeing, that and they are a business and want you to buy stubs. I know it’s unfair to NMS players, I’m not sticking up for SDS here, but too many people inflate their stubs by not playing the game and it makes the market unhealthy.

I think most of you guys don’t understand why this happening, every calls SDS greedy, but a lot do you are not actively playing the game and flipping on the app while watching TV, and while I understand that, it’s actually good for the game and keeps prices high. Too many come here and talk about having the maximum amount of stubs from flipping on the app and then hiding stubs behind 1 million stub orders. It gets annoying for people who are actually playing the game. Trying to finish a collection and you put buy order in for a bronze, got and play a game and come back and see 10 orders above you for that card 1 stub and 20 orders each, just because there is a 48 stub flip on it. And that’s being doing while people are watching Netflix and not playing. You can grind mini seasons and open packs. While I understand why people do it, everyone exploited the app and SDS is trying to get people back to actually engaging with their game to make stubs and not a stock market simulation controlling there market. I do understand SDS isn’t also innocent in this, The Ohtani change and by cutting this people are more likely to buy stubs, this makes NMS harder. But, NMS should be achieved by playing the game and not exploiting the app, while not actively on it.

I miss when Carlos Santana was o for 2 or 3 and Matty V would say “trying to change his evil ways, here’s Carlos Santana”.

I’ll say this, you don’t have to do it all in one run, and if you take the challenge on, you’ll get better at the game and you’ll be to do it. Win as many as you can, and if you find you’re not making the playoffs, switch to a lower difficulty and then try to get more wins the next run.

The only I don’t like is the automatic brush back animation on inside pitches, you can’t tunnel an inside slider or cutter and get someone to chase this year.

I haven’t gone on to ranked yet, I’ve watched a few streamers play and the scores are insane. 28-17 or 30-26, It doesn’t seem like fun, I like pitching.

I’ve never flipped or invested and just played and open packs, I’m usually no money to limited money spent and I get everything done every year, it always seems daunting in march, but by July it will be fine.

I’d wait for a little. Let the higher skilled players rank up, do some offline grinding and come back in a week or so.

They should have at least let it play out until the next event, no events is insane

I still don’t understand how SDS couldn’t figure out a way to get us an all star Acuna. I know he wasn’t in the HR derby, but he still got a hit in the game.

I think that they have gone a little overboard with collections this year, they do get easier as time goes on. But at this point, unless the collection is a player you want, there are so many good cards it doesn’t matter.

Who cares you got free stuff and engagement in the derby, I hope they eventually do fantasy cards one year, I know the live series upgrades work like that, but it would be fun.

You can use centerfielders in any outfield spot and the only lose the same as a secondary. Some shortstops can even play center with out the position being a secondary.

They usually do a an all star program at the end, with cards and rare rounds of the pack, my guess is Tucker and Acuna will be in that if they don’t do anything in the all star game.

college football was released, last year it got easier after that too, and it became more like the old SDS. I think, as business model it makes sense, they have a 3-4 month window where they are the number 1 game on the market, so they have to maximize that and then once the all star break hits, college football is out and they’re left with the more hard core player base, they make it easier for us.
