I actually get use out of all of them because I use each team to get the TA innings (just once) and missions done for 10 points. My goal is to complete all TA’s so I do this combined with exchanges, mto, and showdown.
If I wasn’t doing this, I would agree that most would have no use on my team.
Like others have said I use it to grind innings and missions for TA. Also you can get a lot of xp if you run up the score.
I’ve completed the USA map somewhere around 12 times now, i lost count. I’ve pulled a few diamonds and always end up with a nice bump of stubs after selling all the stuff I get from the packs
That sucks man. That’s why I never use stubs for packs anymore. I’ve gotten a ton of diamonds through reward packs anyway. I’ll just stick to that.
I’ve been doing pretty well still. Pulling diamonds out of TA packs. Pulled one yesterday and another one today. Not great ones but still diamonds along with above average golds.
Well the idea I was going to suggest is what you mentioned, one team only. So I’ll just say great idea!

At this point, I am not even going to try for a win, I will just focus on some online missions to complete.
This is my exact mindset now. I don’t care if I win anymore, I just focus on the missions and if I win that’s a bonus. It actually helps me not stress so much and when I get jobbed by some stupid play I can just shake it off because I’ve come to expect it now.

That’s crazy man. I haven’t spent any money, but I’ve pulled a lot of diamonds from reward packs. I don’t know how many exactly but definitely more than 10, probably around 15, including Trout. Most others were lower tier. I do play a ton though and grind out reward packs from conquest, TA, and innings programs. I’m guessing I’m near 500 packs opened.
I hope your luck changes. Odds are you should be pullin diamonds left and right to make up for your bad luck.
Honestly, I’ve just stopped worrying about what the most efficient way is and do whatever I feel like I’m gonna enjoy most.
So I’ll spend a little time on showdowns then switch to MTO before I break my controller. Then when I get tired of that grind I move on to another.
In the end it’ll all get me TA points. I’d rather enjoy the ride than stress about it.
Yes it’s gone. Anything you exchange leaves your inventory. Only things you “collect” stays
I just got to use Chipper last night when I attempted 3rd inning showdown. The guy absolutely raked. He almost single handidly won each challenge for me. Hit a dinger in the first four challenges that I was able to use him. Went deep in final showdown and hit a double 2nd time up. I went in to beat the showdown. Was the most enjoyable showdown experience I’ve had thanks to him.
Lol yea I’ve opened a lot of them to with no diamonds. I have had 3 of them that had two golds though. Also a lot of the golds I’ve gotten have been better ones.
I can’t complain too much though because my pack luck with standard show pack rewards has been very good. Lots of diamonds including Trout.
I was experiencing exact same thing last couple days.
I started off year playing strike zone high view which is why I’ve played almost every year. After early struggles I switched to strike zone 3 and was able to lay off bad pitches much better.
After having same problems you’re describing suddenly, i decided to go back to strike zone high. I am doing much better. I actually went on to beat NL showdown and 3rd inning showdown.
I think my eyes and brain just needs a changeup once in a while.
I’m fine with Braves cards but I am surprised they’re doing so many so close to each other. Would think they would spread it out a bit and give some other teams love.
So you’re saying if you bring another reliever in that’s on the same team it still won’t count? I pitched 3 total innings with the same teams pitchers. That’s really dumb if it won’t count because of that.
I just played another game and noticed that I got shorted 1 inning on the overall innings that should go towards the 250 inning mission.
I have an entire squad of one team and played 3 innings so I should get 27 innings but only got 26. Somethings messed up here.
I reported it to SDS with pictures, doubt it’ll help but maybe.
I’ve noticed off and on that the missions that say to pitch 40 innings with a team aren’t counting right.
I just played two conquest games and checked after both and it only gave me 2 innings each time.
As if the grind isn’t long enough this is gonna make it even worse. Anyone else having this issue?
Just saw Glavine and Zobrist are the new flawless rewards. I’m building both Braves and Rays squads. I’ll never be able to go flawless but I should be able to get them off the market right?
Got lucky and packed Trout about halfway through my grind. Last one I need now is Bellinger.
He will ultimately be on my bench, however one of my goals I’m working on is grinding team affinity for most, maybe all, teams. So at least I’ll get to use all these guys when I’m racking up innings for their teams
I think they should either adjust sliders to match the advertised difficulty, or change what their calling the difficulty to match how it actually plays.
Rookie, veteran and all star do not play anywhere near the same as they do on all other modes.
Most are bad but I’ve pulled 2 diamonds out of TA packs and several golds. I’ve probably opened about 100 of them though so I’d say the odds have been about right.
What I don’t understand about showdown is why they label challenges as rookie or veteran but they play so much different and harder than that.
I can go play conquest, MTO, or vs. cpu on all star and bat around my lineup fairly frequently in an inning. However I struggle to even get on base in rookie and veteran showdown challenges???? It makes no sense.
If they wanna keep showdown this challenging fine, but I think it aggrevates most of us when we go in feeling confident that we can handle these only to find it doesn’t play the way it’s advertised.
I really like the idea of the mode and the way its set up, but it frustrates me even more than ranked seasons.
