WOW - BEST 2 CARDS IN THE GAME, CAPTAIN RIPKEN Jr & ROLLINS - SUPER TEAM!!!

    Hello,
I have been trying to build the most incredible lineup and a few weeks ago discovered CAPTAIN - Cal Ripken Jr & Jimmy Rollins are incredible!!! Everyone struggles with the Extreme Program and this set up has helped drastically! Especially for the average player like myself.

I do have most of the cards in the game, but these captains are incredible and easily worth the roster spot even though they are not 99s.

Many of you gamers might already know this, but if you don't, buy these players while they are fairly cheap. 95 Captain Ripken was at the market before update at $300k and has went to as high as $390k. Currently he's at about $45k which is a steal. Rollins was as high as $250k I think and is now at $130k or so.

Ripkens Team boost: You have a team of 11+ hitters with a Durability of 99. All players with 99 durability will recieve:

    +10 Contact vs Right

    +15 Contact vs Left

    +10 Batting Clutch

    +5 Fielding Ability.

With these buffs my entire team was all 125+ for right and left Contact and most were at 120-125 Clutch.

This made games so much easier as there are some incredible players with a Durability 99! Lots of flexibility as about 50x 99 players have a Durability of 99! If you haven't tried Ripken as Captain, please do as you won't regret it!!! He's incredible!

Rollins is kind of the same way. His team boost is any player with a primary or secondary SS position. Which is a ton of amazing players that are eligible Shortstops produced almost the same as Ripken. Rollins team boost are: 11 players with Shortstop as primary or secondary position will recieve:

    +15 Contact Right

    +10 Contact Left

    +15 Batting Clutch

    +5 Speed.

My whole team was maxed and created an amazing Bunt/Steal team and was able to have my starting 9 all have 125 for Contact vs Right and Left, 120-125 Clutch. And 93-99 speed. There were 6 players with maxed Contact and Speed and the other 3 were close. Rollins with the boost was almost maxed and was like 115 & 110 Contact with a 93 speed or something.

I tried it on a extreme Conquest game and hit 7 consecutive good bunts and scored 3 and then happend to hit a Grand slam for a additional 4. Putting me up

    7-0 after the first inning.

Anyways, just wanted to post this for the people who don't know about Ripken and Rollins.

Between the 2 captains you can make 2 amazingly different teams for all the programs and missions. This has rejuvenated my thirst to play the game as tinkering with this was alot of fun and the results were incredible!

Just wanted whoever that didn't know to scoop up Ripken while he is extremely cheap before he goes back up to $200k. Rollins is a little more expensive, but trust me, these will become the corner stones of your teams!

Ripken and set 1 captains fell in price drastically because the Fire Sale Captain Pack for 1 hour on Friday. I expect Ripken to be back over $100k within a few days/next weekend and above $200k by the end of August!

Any other Show Gamers have any special Tricka or Teams they use to beat the more difficult Contact? I'm curious to try new teams and always open to learning and evolving.

    Best of luck!

Biggest gap of NO Diamond pulls was packs 53- 69, best run was 4x Diamonds in my first 12 packs

Showdown has become very easy to beat on this program, probably the easiest one to date. If you select all speed guys, there are tons of 80+ Speed guys for Diamond selection. I maxed out guys with best speeds. Most of these guys also have a 40+ for drag bunts. Top players used were, Andrus, Yelich, Segura, Heyward,

Best non program guys used: Ricky Henderson, CJ Abrams, Lou Brock, Dee Gordan, Alberto Mondesii, Johny Damon, Jimmy Rollins, Derick Jeter, either Griffey, lots of Topps Now and Prospects Speedsters. Even ur Comon reserve trash players are great Speed and drag bunt. Half the time I had a 86+ Speed and 40+ drag bunt common leading off and usually get on base as the silver and gold bunt cheese perks help with no one on base.

Always steal and if your player has 80+ Speed and 40 + on stealing I think I was safe 98% of the time. Get that guy to 2nd to avoid double plays

In opening draft u can probably score 6x speedsters above 80+.

Focus on nothing but Bunt Boost and Vision. My main perks were only those 2 and best combination I like Is the Silver vision boost or Diamond Vision. The Silver I nice as u get perk when behind in the count.

I always used 2x bunt boost, the Diamond Cheese bunt is game over and usually used a 2nd Bunt of the gold or silver.

This Combo is deadily as I just kept bunting, even with bases loaded, if u got those perks and bunt, they will make it safely home 75% of time, sometimes 50% if ur not the best at bunting. That's assuming ur men on base have 80+ Speed. To be honest I would rather bunt and fail giving up 1 out then try to hit and get double played as that happens a ton in Showdown.

I used no other perks other then Vision or Bunt Cheese. If you haven't tried it, you should because in Showdown we all know PCU players are all HOF goldgloves!

I can get through a entire Showdown in 1 hr with this method and my last 4 tries I won 3 and lost the stage before boss.

MIGGY had great Drag Bunt surprisingly and so does Moustakas. They can bring in ur speedster, but will not likely make it to first safely.

I hope this info helps and it's super fun!
