Opponent is holding R2 to look at what pitches your pitcher throws

Walter Johnson FB SNK speed on hall of fame will beat a lot of people. If you can spot the changeup off of them.
Drafting - be aware of what position you are taking early if you are “wasting” a pick on a bad round. Meaning don’t take some silver 3B and lose you chance to get Sano. Same with Soler in the OF.
Rating window - people might say this is cheap but once you hit 8-0 or 9-0. You need to back out of games if you get matched up right away. Keep backing out until you get the bar below 1600 or so. This will give you a better chance of playing someone early in their run/or a bad player
you need 1/2 decent starters and like 3/4 RP’s. Draft power bats
Never pitch with a pitcher in the red. Ever. Just take him out
just make a deal with yourself you I’ll treat every at bat like it’s the last one. You are going to have to score 8+ runs a couple of games to go 12-0 or 12-1.
get lucky.

Sadly, it's now only a game of skill in the same way poker is a game of skill. Outside of the 1% of 1% of players, one's skill is really only apparent in the aggregate which is super frustrating and, IMO, kind of defeats the purpose of an action-oriented video game, especially H2H. But whatever.
In their defense (kinda), I get why SDS does it - the skill gap in this game is so large that if it played straight up, top players might be hitting .600+ while bad players would struggle to hit .100.
IMO, it would be a lot of fun but I'm sure they have backend data that tells them a large portion of the folks that spend $$ on stubs would fit into that latter category and, I assume, would quit out of frustration once they figured out they couldn't buy themselves wins anymore.
This is the right answer
Angles first. Get to play with trout and Wagner is legit
@VEGAS__T said in Started off 22-5 in Ranked Seasons (1st season):
Early on you were playing lesser skilled players most likely with lower overall teams and the better player won, you. You’ve worked your way up the ranked tiers and now you’ve come to a place where people are on a similar skill level to you, hence why you’re .500 now. Seems to me like the ranked system is working exactly as designed.
This is the right take. This is the reason people have ratings. Only proving they work by saying I started out 22-5 and am now .500. 22-5 took you out of range where you were better than people.
It’s not even that much of a grind.
Get trout/cole out of the way first and then just play the game from there. Showdowns, events. Sell everything with sell orders that you don’t need for live collections. All flashback players etc. Sell them all.
Wagner is prolly the best division reward that you would actually use.
