Never understood people who wanted to win at a baseball game so badly that they resort to....not playing baseball

While I'm not upset that they patched it, I do think they should look at the data and strongly think about making the double affinity a permanent thing (or maybe a weekend bonus or something). I bet if you looked at the numbers, more people played MTO this week than ever before. I saw way more streamers playing it, and I sure played a ton. It gives the game some nice variety to have a ton of different options.
Another thing to think about: when new players pick this game up in the summer they are going to be so far behind in the TA grind they might just ignore it all together. Making it so an MTO run on All-Star or below can at least get you past stage one TA will make more people play MTO and more people (especially new players) care about grinding TA.

@Catman9186 said in Stuck indoors...SDS needs to "step up to the plate":
Now that more than half of the country has been ordered to stay home such as myself in CT, SDS more then ever needs to pump out more DD material. Being stuck indoors they need to ante up the pace at which new material comes out and keep us busy and entertained.
Would be great for their business. More you can keep homebound people in the game the more likely you'll get stub purchases etc. Please keep me occupied...
Wow, don’t think this is coming across the way you want it to...
The whole country is in crisis, and that includes people at SDS. California is one of the hardest hit states. Just because most of their work is done “on computers” doesn’t mean it should be easier. Some of them have kids, some could have sick relatives.
As far as I’m concerned we are lucky to have this much content at this point in the game (more than any other I can remember at this point).
I know, you’re stuck at home and this [censored] sucks. But there’s more important things at play here. Be grateful for what you have, and for everyone who is working through this.

@bjannan said in I can admit when I was wrong, hitting feels alright:
I;m still struggling, but I am fairly new to the show (October freebie last year), so I reckon it takes a long time to get used to it all.
I'm sure its been asked 100s of times before, but what type of hitting are people here using?
Zone exclusively? Most people you find on YouTube or Twitch use zone, as do most of the people here. Nothing wrong with directional though, in fact I think it’s good to start with to learn timing.

He’s pretty beastly out there. I’m grinding the affinity Tatis but if I wasn’t I’d say Jimmy is worth the 30k or so he’s going for. Price might go up tomorrow too when he goes out of packs
-
TA Tatis is a beast, even his gold is pretty good if you’re on a budget. I’ve also used Rollins and Baez and they are both very good. It’s kind of a stacked position this year.

One thing no one's mentioned that you might consider is buying all three of the 1st inning bosses to get 75 stars towards the 2nd inning program. Getting those early is usually a nice way to get a good amount of stubs quickly, especially if the bosses are desirable.

First off, I love this idea so much. You think they should be sellable? Seems like it would really clutter the marketplace.
Also, that Acuna card is worth like $2000 today
-
I can hit them, and I did. But that’s not the point, now is it?
Edit: didn’t see any other posts on the first couple of pages. I should’ve searched. I stand by that it needs more visibility for SDS to address
-
Well, I just ran up against someone using all lefties in the event. How do I report this to SDS? I can post evidence here if need be.
Real talk, I’m not great, but if you gotta cheat to win at this event.....sheesh

Yeah, moments still suck.
Hit a HR and steal a base with Larkin. But its vs the Cardinals who have almost all RHP who throw sinkers.
This one is destroying my will to live.

The problem with giving vouchers after each mini boss is that it would dissuade people from playing the whole showdown.
Playing a full showdown takes around an hour, and you get 5 vouchers. Most people can beat the first mini boss pretty easily, and it takes around 5 minutes to beat that. So you could in theory get 5 vouchers in 25 minutes.
-
I like the idea of showdown counting towards affinity progress and I think the other way to eliminate some of the frustration in showdown would be to implement a "continue" system on bosses, kind of like continues in old school games. You get three continues each showdown run, which can be used on any boss. Each one costs 500 stubs (which is totally fair in my opinion, since showdowns pay out stubs pretty liberally). I think this would fix a mode which in my opinion is pretty close to being a perfect and super fun offline mode

Yeah, SDS really needs to address this. I create Josh Gibson every year, and while I've having fun playing as him in RTTS to switch it up a bit, it's super frustrating to not be able to use him behind the dish.
Back to Bunt and Speed cheese
They made MTO irrelevant with this update

How are the First Impressions of Jimmy Rollins?

What would you do with 350k stubs?
