I stumbled upon this thread after deleting an almost max grinded Swolhei build. I haven't seen anyone talk about this any other place because I posted on reddit and nobody had answers. I made a brand new player with 2 Way Bullet program and it happened AGAIN. This is so frustrating that we aren't getting feedback or a time table. Literally wasted hours upon hours grinding players to get stuck with pitching attributes that won't progress. My first player got stuck at 36 and now this player got stuck at 34. There should be greater urgency to fix this over anything else IMO.

I mean this is a huge bug. It literally hinders your player's progression in a mode that's been in the game for years. It makes the mode I love most fundamentally broken. This is the first MLB The Show game I've bought since 20 and it will be my last if they don't fix this bug. Tired of these companies who make sports games just sacrificing the integrity of their games because they want to make new shiny player cards to sell for stubs/real money.

How many threads or posts have to be made about this issue to get some feedback from the developers as to when to expect a fix? It's crazy. It's the least they could do.

Well, it's been almost a month since this post. Can we at least get some feedback from devs for an ETA?

Multiple times reported. No acknowledgement to the problem. Pretty laughable that such an integral part of the game is just ignored.

I managed to find an almost-workaround

started a new RTTS file using one of those XP grind rosters where every player except your team is a 0 OVR. I simmed until I got a game with earn 2x towards break/control, then threw nothing but sliders all game. AI couldnt hit them at all. That managed to get my slider Break up to 37. It's now at 40.

Did the same thing over—waiting for a 2x break game—but swapped my Slider with my Curve because the AI hits the curve way better. Break upgraded to 37 same as last time. Did that a few times over to get it to 40, then swapped my Slider for my Changeup and did the same thing over again

This is may work, but is not a complete workaround since your attributes still reset. So the only way this works is by just spamming one pitch for an entire game and hoping you get enough to cycle the attribute to the next level. If you don't, your progress is lost. This seems like a simple issue that could be fixed with minimal effort. How do we get this raised up in priority lol

or they could just fix their game. Too busy making new shiny cards and gambling addictions to bother with the integrity of the game of baseball though

No it's been radio silent. As you probably have noticed there are countless threads and we've heard nothing. All we hear is hearsay about how apparently SDS knows about it but they've done little to keep us informed if they are even working on it or even care about fixing it at all.

If there is, I'm not aware. I would advise people to create detailed bug reports. If they aren't going to read the forums, then they can read countless bug reports on their inhouse tracker. Need people to make some noise about this other than forums.

Just go to Support in the top right corner. Click on MLB The Show 23 and there's a box that should pop up to report an issue or report a bug

I've started multiple CAPS since running into this problem and it happens every time to me. A velo attribute will be on the cusp of moving to the next attribute and then it resets. Every. Single. CAP.

Probably not but I'd love to be wrong. I want to go back to pitching or play my 2-way but if you don't want broken RTTS stats you have to be a position player for now. Pretty lame.

Still not fixed eh? I long gave up on this game and it's integrity. I gave this year a chance after a few years of the same recycled RTTS and I'll just go back to not buying this game until Santa Monica can put on their big boy pants and do what they say they are going to do.
