Just completed the Team Affinity showdown and for a hitting-challenged player like myself it was no problem. All the stages were on Veteran and it actually played like that.
In the past Veteran in Showdown played like HOF and maybe even Legend with the diving catches, perfect/perfect easy outs - SDS' way of sticking it to the customer. Lets hope this continues - playing level as advertised.
Thanks for posting this and saving me the time in restarting another season. For SDS to tell people to reset and retry when the problem hasn't been solved is disrespectful. SDS needs to realize this is more than a trivial issue as these seasons take a good amount of time - I was well along in both Classic and TA. Its not like repeating a moment or even a Showdown series.
Are they spending money to buy multiple versions of the same game? No need for SDS to crack down since it adds revenues and doesn't have much of an impact on the rest of us - except when they back out of a game session.
I completed a 3-inning Event game but did not receive the egg until after the second Event game - opponent quit in the 2nd inning. For BR, I believe the egg depends on hitting a HR and not completing a game.
For walks, need 5 across games -not necessarily in a single game.

Also unplug the PS and restart - sometimes needed if the router is turned off and then back on.
I'm putting together theme teams, limiting rosters to a team or two, for games in Mini Seasons. But can't get the sort option to work in that format where it works fine in the regular roster mode. Is there a work around for a sort?

As a result, you will often have teams with solid diamonds combined with some much lower live cards - especially for pitchers.
But all the games played are fun and a challenge - even Conquest games. Typically, the games are better and tougher than many online games - at least from what I have experienced.
Take your best roster and play Classic Mini Seasons on AS. All the games are tight and if I win, it is typically by a run. I find that silver pitchers can hold their own with good pitch location and selection.
If anyone has suggested alternatives to make offline more interesting than hammering out wins with a squad of the best possible, post them here.
Overall, I'm not trying to run through the programs, but rather my goal is to enjoy the game.

Silver Austin Hayes hits as well as anyone in the game - plus decent fielding.

Fake news by the OP. I had about 25 unopened packs before the promo. They turned into bean packs and collected enough jellybeans to completed the 15 set. About 2 beans for every 3 packs opened.
Live and learn to save up packs before new programs drop.
In past versions of the game, you have a roster full of 99s by mid-summer and there is little to aim for at that point - many people get bored and move on. Now SDS is trying to shake things up by having a restart - lets see how it goes before making a judgement.
I hope SDS is creative rather than copying the format of S1. For example, something other TA. Maybe introduce a new mode - 5 inning RS games or create a offline option for Events against random player teams who play events online (using the same rating matching system).
The OP may be correct or perhaps player concentration, patience and focus can be variable from day to day.
Following some of the thoughts here, how about a playoff or World Series mode that is team specific for each team? The CPU team would have the best players available from a specific team and the human would also be restricted to players from that same team. Choose a difficulty to start and the reward for winning levels up with the difficulty selected.
Additionally, SDS needs to pay some attention to Mini Seasons - details like CPU pitcher fatigue working the same as human team and actual relevant stats with AB and IP minimums.
In the long run, if SDS wants the multi-seasons format to thrive it has to do much more than repeat the same online and offline options for each season.
SDS needs to innovate and provide new and different programs for each season to give them a unique personality. Some may work well and others not, but SDS needs to mix things up over time. I have seen many postings on this forum for quality new programs that can be incorporated into the game.
I am willing to give Seasons an opportunity but recycling the same online and offline programs is going to quickly sour and makes SDS look lazy.
