Almost every game at a custom stadium has so many bugs and freezes. Also seems crossplay is a huge factor.

Co-op got some nice improvements over last year, but it is still very much lacking in a lot of areas. It is even easier to get high diamonds this year than it ever has before, but we are still locked having 3 default gold cards on our team. No stat tracking for anything, and no PXP. Would love to see co-op get clubs where you can make a team with your friends and keep track of wins, hits, home runs, strikeouts etc.

People who spend the little time they have available to play this game on co-op are treated as second hand citizens.

It is so easy to get Diamond players in this game. If you play ranked or casual solo, you get to pick your entire roster. Why is co-op treated so differently.

I understand the initial intent, but part of DD is to unlock players and create a good team before jumping into online competitive play.

If you don’t want to spend time getting a few diamond players, then go play co-op exhibition games where you chose an actual team. I seriously doubt anyone playing ranked co-op wants to be forced to use sub Diamond players.

Or at the very least our entire starting lineup and each player still picks 1 starting pitcher and 1-2 closers.

This is the number 1 issue that co-op still has, and it’s very unfortunate that it still exists in ranked co-op.

I’ve played around 6 co-op games so far, and so far it is a huge improvement… except for a few issues that I have no idea why they haven’t been fixed/changed yet.

1. Why why why why cannot we not pick our whole team? Especially with the changes made this year, it is so easy to get Diamond players. And if you are playing ranked, you most likely are going to have cards that are competitive. We are playing a ranked game. We should be able to select every single player on the roster, bench included. I just went back and watched the DD feature premiere, and they made such a big deal about being able to make your team the way you want, except you can’t really do that in ranked co-op.

2. We absolutely need to adjust our lineup BEFORE we start searching for a match. Especially since the game decides who is playing at what position for you, the batting order, and which predetermined full cards that you don’t get to pick are in your lineup. It would save everybody a whole lot of time if we just had this option either during or right after the player selection and THEN you can find a match.

3. We need PXP earned in ranked co-op as well as progress towards other missions. The time some people have available to play the game is limited. So those of us who focus 90% of their MLB 23 time are severely handicapped when it comes to progressing through other programs that require PXP, hits, home runs, strikeouts, etc.

Overall though, it is very nice to see co-op in a much better place. They just need to make it more customizable by allowing us to pick out ENTIRE roster, edit player positions and batting order before searching for a match, and allow PXP and mission progress.

All it needs to be is stubs, standard packs, ballin packs, etc.

I don’t quite get the lack of transparency from studios these days, but it’s been pretty prevalent not just from a lot of game studios, but in a lot of major industries. My guess is there is less backlash when staying silent than there is from communicating and not delivering or not promising enough, etc., etc.

My guess is all co-op effort is going into next year. I agree with you that I would like for them to communicate this.

Has anyone else been experiencing an excess of desync issues and players teleporting lately? It’s always been present in co-op, but the last few days it has been way more prevalent.

We can only hope that they have decided to put all their efforts for co-op into making it better for 23. At this stage, I just can’t see them doing anything substantial this year. If we get the same watered down mode next year, I will be extremely disappointed.

It would be great if SDS actually talked about the mode at all and gave us some kind of updates.

Same problem here. I am always captain, and my game time never seems to change until the last inning. So while my friends game changes to night time by the last couple of innings, I’m just barely making it to sunset.

Really hope they fix this cause I freaking hate playing in day games.

I’d say let us pick all positions, bench included.

This is the official MLB The Show forums correct? So I can only hope they actually come look here to see what the community wants from co-op.

We want 9 innings back!!! And that seems to be the consensus of the majority here!

I can’t speak for all others, but at this point, just let us pick our entire roster. We grind to get all the great and fun cards, and then individually we only get to pick 2 or 3 position players? And we can’t even set up our own bench?

And speaking of grinding to get these players, if we spend more time playing co-op, it doesn’t actually do anything to help us towards unlocking or progressing players. Give us something for it. Figure out a good way we can earn PXP, make some kind of reward path, whether it is wins or innings. Hell, I would love to see a co-op events mode where we can build specific teams and see some variety rather than using and playing against the same players over and over again.

Just please listen to the community and continue to build on co-op. I’ve been hoping for co-op online since my first MLB The Show since 2014, so please don’t abandon it.

We at the very least need the option to chose either 6 or 9 innings. I have definitely preferred 9 inning games when playing with friends, but if they are going to force 6 innings on us, they better give us the option to play, what is apparently everyone’s preference, 9 inning games.

At the very least give us the option between the two.

I haven’t gotten a freeze in a long time. Play a lot of co-op, events and RS.

Is this really the best solution? Is there data to back this up as a smart move? Please don’t screw up this mode! It is where my friends and I spend the majority of our time playing.

And if you are going to make some major changes to co-op, how about giving us some actual rewards? PXP? Anything?

And rather than getting rid of 9 innings, how about making it an option, or having a 9 inning ranked season mode and a 6 inning event mode.

And lastly, can we finally just drop the silver players we are forced to use? We all have pretty decent diamond prayers now so at least upgrade the players we are forced to use to high gold or low diamond. Or better yet, just let us fill our entire roster ourselves.
