You have to throw pitches down the middle so the opponent can hit them to the moon and even then if you dont hit perfect on the meter it may not get in the zone, or the umpire will call a ball completely in the zone a ball to give you a 3-0 count. Most often when i give up a run its due to a hanging curveball that was put 6 inches below the zone or a high fastball above the zone that magically locates as a homerun meatball down the middle and in the wheelhouse. When i am hitting i dont seem to get the same results but it changes from one game to the next where every ball is squared up and is a fly ball or grounder. The next game i can hit balls out of the zone for oppo no doubt bombs.
