Happens with Lodolo also. All my other non-FS pitcher players have the correct socks I equipped. Must be a programming bug.

Prospect Nick Gonzales (speaking for the Prospects): We were wondering when we’ll get another chance to play some games. We helped you get through some early missions and most of us are now P1 but we are not seeing the light of day?

Me: I hear you. I just am so excited to get some of these FOTF and Takashi Okazaki anime players up to P5. Can you imagine Jazz at a P5 level?

<heavenly music fills the dugout>

Prospect Nick Gonzales: That’s fair but we can’t get better if we don’t play.

Me: Tell you what, I promise to get you guys back in as a team build sometime soon.

Prospect Nick Gonzales: By the way, how come Adley Rutchman and Mick Abel are on the fast track to P5? They are prospects too.

Thanks for the positive feedback on the series so far. I hope to continue posting a couple of times a week (I have a couple more queued up). Inspiration usually comes from things that happen while grinding offline with my team but I may take requests later on if I run out of material and have enough stubs to buy certain players. Hopefully if nothing else the posts bring a smile to someone's face as they can relate to my pain/confusion/frustration/success.

FOTF Chapman: Hey. How come you leave me on the bench but never put me in the game? That new guy Wagner gets in all the time you need a lefty.

Me: Because you give up game winning moon-shot home runs like Oprah gives out prizes to her audience. You drive me crazy. I needed someone more reliable.

FOTF Chapman: You do realize he has a control of 71 while I have a control of 79. I hope you didn’t spend a bunch of stubs to get him.

<Me yet again contemplating life choices>

FOTF Trout: Hey. Can I ask you something?

Me: Mike. Anything! I am just excited you are talking to me! You are a god!

FOTF Trout: How come all the games we play are sunny?

Me: Well, if the game settings are set to cloudy, it is hard to pick up the pitches at some stadiums.

FOTF Trout: Are there other options?

Me: I guess so. They do have rain.

FOTF Trout: Anything more exciting?

Me: What do you mean?

FOTF Trout: I heard of this game called Fortnite that has hurricanes. Can we request those? I am a weather fanatic. I’ve even appeared on the Weather Channel!

Me: The hurricanes in Fortnite rip up buildings, trees, and even lift cars and semis hundreds of feet in the air before hurling them back down!

FOTF Trout: So maybe a bad idea for a baseball stadium?

Me: Would you settle for a dedicated TV in the player’s lounge with the Weather Channel on it?

FOTF Trout: That sounds wonderful. Is this heaven?

Me: No. It is Shippett Stadium. It was heaven for you but they nurfed it.

Me: Hey Jazz. You feeling okay?

FOTF Jazz: Yeah. Why do you ask?

Me: When we were doing Conquest maps on Veteran, you were raking. I mean you hit over .450 and looked like a god.

FOTF Jazz: Everyone on the forums calls me a god.

Me: Well, ever since we’ve started playing mini-seasons, your performance has dropped off. You are still playing well but not the same…

<Jazz gives death stare>

FOTF Jazz: You do realize that the pitchers and fielders in mini-seasons are much better than default Conquest teams right?

<Me contemplating the obvious in silence while Jazz continues to give me the stink eye>

Me: Uhhh...My bad Jazz. I am going to sit quietly over here and leave you alone.

FOTF Jazz: Sounds like a good idea.

<FOTF Chapman walks by, gives Jazz a high five and chuckles>

Me: We are up by one in the bottom of the 3rd. I’m going to give you another chance to close this out.

FOTF Chapman: Okay

Me: Throw an up and in fastball for a strike. Everyone knows the computer can’t hit that pitch on veteran.

FOTF Chapman: Okay

<Throws pitch way above the strike zone at a billion miles an hour. No swing. Ball 1>

Me: Love the command. Let’s try your splitter. Bottom corner away. Again, computer can’t hit that pitch on veteran.

FOTF Chapman: Okay

<Throws pitch. Misses the below the zone>

Me: Can you get a splitter to that spot?

<Throws pitch. Misses the below the zone>

Me: Let’s try the fastball up and in again.

<Throws pitch. Misses inside>

Me: You walked the leadoff man again.

FOTF Chapman: Yep

Me: Are you able to throw a strike?

FOTF Chapman: Sure.

<Throws 2 seam straight down the middle. 10 minutes later the ball still hasn’t landed and NASA is now tracking a new uninidentified object accelerating past the moon. Computer team on veteran wins and laughs at me again>

Me: That is the 6th game you’ve blown for me! What is wrong with you!

FOTF Chapman: Haven’t you seen me in real life?

<Me realizing my mistake>

FOTF Chapman: By the way, why did you even pick me if you don’t like me?

Me: I didn’t have a choice! You came in a FOTF No Sell pack!

I'm that guy that skipped MLB The Show 21 because I couldn't get my hands on a PS5. Just kept playing 2020 version. Had been hoping to try out 99 Ted Williams and has had a $1M order in since last July. Any chance some kind community members on here that aren't playing 2020 any more but have a Teddy Ballgame not locked in could sell him on the market? I don't think I'm too far down the list but sales are slow (to be expected). Any help would be appreciated.

Wow... when you compare the stats for LF Ted Williams ($400K) with this Soto card, they are almost identical.

This one took a while for me. Even though he has great power, I eventually went to square "power swing" so when he did make contact, it was better contact. Eventually I hit three home runs in a row.

I usually don't play above all-star. I've finished 5 of 9 hof. Be patient and take more pitches than feels comfortable. Have speed in your lineup and on the bench to pinch run. Use pitchers with high control (Maddux, Kluber, or Paxton, Fingers, Eckersley) and then pitch fast up and in but mostly slow and away corner. Slider out of the zone to righties almost always gets strike 3. Also, don't lose focus late in the game. You have to concentrate for every pitch even if you are ahead. Actually especially if you are ahead.

Mills raided a newer streamer (last couple of months), Ashley_Sanders after his stream today. The energy and positivity in her stream was great! Would recommend a look if you are looking for MLB The Show twitch content.

I've been putting in a lot of time this week to move past the level 2 moments. Lots and lots of time. For some of them the key was changing to directional, waiting for a low pitch, and using square. I did get past them though and am close to getting that final card. Probably another day or two away. Can't wait to try that one out. Also lots of stubs, packs, etc along the way so if you have the time, I'd recommend continuing.
