I can understand how my post could come off sounding like that and I apologize. It was meant as being satirical because of the irony of probably one of the top teir complaints on the survey, pack odds. I just found it ironic. So I apologize come across as complaining, it was meant as poking fun at SDS. I can careless about what I get out of packs because at the end of the day the cards are worth .0001 cent basically worthless in real life terms. Just trying to bring some sarcastic humor.

Thank you for your time filling out our survey so we can laugh at all your alls constructive criticism that will make our game better.... oh by the way here is a pack of commons and bronze players for your troubles.... for free may we add, signed SDS.

Time to blow up that survey. Then see if they listen.
I doubt it. We will back here this time next year saying the same thing, unfortunately.

His gold WBC card raked too
Every WBC card is decent in one way or another.
Agreed 100%. The Despaigne card surprised the [censored] out of me with how good it was.

@markemark_NSW oh ok my apologies but imo 26 is way easier then 25 the amount of bloop hits u get this year is crazy. This year as the “worse” player u can still win as last year the better player won 95 percent of the time this year is literally a coin toss as to who wins.
I agree with your assessment 100%. The gameplay is much better than last year. Not remotely close to good but better. Maybe from an F to a D+ or C-. There are other things in this game that plague it worse than being able to hit or pitch this year. Quite honestly when I played events it wasn't all that bad, I got my Biz card my 2 Jackie Robinson packs and said deuces.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN Currently I am buying commons for teams that don't have diamonds. So Rockies, White Sox, Giants, and Nationals. I buy at 5 and sell at 25. So I am making 22 measly stubs per flip but it adds up. I start with 2000 stubs (400 buys) and that becomes 8800 stubs. I do this on my phone app. If I am at home playing I may flip diamond equipment in between games. Point is it adds up fast and there is no need to spend real money.
I have given up trying to buy/flip unlockables. I am never able to buy one to flip one.

It's annoying for sure. The way I approach the one up or down is to have a time limit before I think about relisting depending on how fast the card is moving. Sometimes it takes a bit to work through the queue. If you continously relist it destroys margins and it takes a while for margins to come back up again. I'm finding out patience is the best weapon against one uppers or downers. If you get mixed in with them you will always get frustrated. A card selling one per minute or little under is the sweet spot, a pretty decent spread with a enough movement to keep turning over cards.

I’ve posted this before, but I’ll repeat: The Show does not “understand” Rookie mode at all. I play Madden, they dont do a lot of things right, but they “get” Rookie mode.
On Rookie madden, you score SO many points that you gain confidence and actually WANT to play on a higher level to challenge yourself.
In Rookie The Show, all the same “shenanigans” exist except for slightly slower pitch speeds. Pitchers dot and fielders are good glovers all the time. So, you are NOT encouraged to move up except that you HAVE TO in order to get XP and PXP to get rewards.
A big difference.
That's a really good explanation! I think it's meant to frustrate the stat grinders into spending money and possibly getting them to join the cesspool online play.

I hit one 712 feet but a CPU fielder made a diving catch of it in front of the newspaper stand across the street
That's hilarious although honestly sounds about right for this year's game. I'm sure the fielder would've been a common with 45 fielding

I'm fine with whatever they want to do with online play but it's autrious. I tried a couple event games to try for Biz Mackey. I lost both of them by one run each. First game my opponent hit a solo homer on a slider down and away at least two or three feet out of the strike zone. The second hit a 112 exit velo shot in the gap on sinker in the dirt.
In saying all of that, I have a extremely fast paced high stress job so between lifting weights and playing this game because I love baseball it gives me a good avenue to relieve stress. So, with offline DD being as it is this year excruciatingly stale and a time sink and online being autrious, lifting is about all I have because I ain't getting it from this game. It's become obnoxiously frustrating. I've been playing a couple days taking a couple days off.

I'm abandoning the LS collection. For me it's the pull rates that's are causing me to hang it up. They are abysmal. I would think about putting some skin in this game and purchase some stubs to get 50 pack bundles but then again why would I do that if pull rates were better, sure as heck not going to buy squat to waste my money on commons, bronze and silvers. IMHO, it's getting excruciatingly expensive for NMS guys. Not in terms of money but in terms of time. It's trying frustrate NMS people to spend money to save time. I'm probably wrong in thinking this, I really think SDS can careless whether anyone plays online or offline as long as they playing being forced to pay real world money.

I am thinking about abandoning my goal to do LS collection. I played with Tulo's gold card to see if I like his swing to see if he's worth the grind, I am really not to crazy about him. The only live series card I want is the Pujols, I enjoyed his swing. I may just go after him and stop there and just collect my favorite cards I like playing with.

looks like I got skipped this time
Not missing anything, nothing to see here.

Commons and bronze and 1 silver, and lucky me a diamond scouting report icon, I couldn't believe it a diamond card

Gameplay I feel is better than last year but I can't help feel like there was a tradeoff for better gameplay. I have opened almost a 100 Ballin packs and just golds, which I am not complaining about because I can liquidate them for stubs but no diamonds? I feel that with just the pack odds alone is putting pressure on me a NMS guy to open up my wallet to accomplish my goals in this game which was far easier to accomplish my goals last year being NMS. I don't want to believe this but I can't help feel as there is inside manipulation in the market to keep prices on almost everything but gatekeepers down. I think to frustrate the NMS guys to purchase stubs. Question for SDS, why would I want to purchase stubs if pack odds are this tight also if I pull a low teir or mid teir diamond I automatically lose since the sell now are effectively worthless. This game has gotten IMHO markedly more expensive to play than last year. I feel like I am playing at a loss most of the time. I would think SDS will have to loosen up on the packs here real soon because once we get into the mid summer lull of baseball and this is continuing thing I believe people are going to start abandoning this game and a fair share of them for good. Sad situation but with the real world economy and uncertainty I think SDS is digging themselves a grave that I am afraid they won't dig themselves out of.
On a side.note Sony IMHO bad idea trying to.rush the PS6 out especially with a close to $1000 price point. I think the PS5 should have another 2-3 years before the next gen console because of how slow of a start the PS5 had. I think people will balk hard on the PS6 and possibly gobble the PS5 pros up instead or stay with PS5 like everyone did with the PS4s. Just my opinion for what it is worth.

LS Gilbert Logan, actually got a chase pack from a MLBTS pack which yielded a LS Ronald Acuna Jr, Mike Napoli NT, and LS Kyle Tucker. Ballin' packs nothing short of gold and double gold, stub fodder

AI is only as smart as the human its trained by. At least that is what I've been told.
That's just great, now in addition to worry about being exterminated by machine intelligence,we now have to worry about all the dumbsh t machine intelligence out there
Scary, huh?

Like I always say the grass is not always greener on the other side. If anyone thinks its rough now, EA would be so much more worse, not sure about 2k haven't played to many of their games except for the occasional wrestling game and those were a major cash grab. The show is still the rare game where you can spend as much as you want or be nms and still progress. It's still a good blend. At the end of the day it's still a business they still need to make money if you want to continue playing this game year in and year out.
All of that is true and EA is - if there’s a devil in video gaming - it’s them. I know them still as Origins and how they destroyed UO back in 1999
As far as SDS.
The problem is we keep accepting and expecting mediocrity and if they’d just take a minute and do some work they could make so much more money. Fix a bug someday.
Which is ironic.
They do nothing at all. It’s crazy, they don’t address issues to consumers they don’t acknowledge a [censored] thing they just release packs. They could be making money hand over fist more money than they are if they’d just update anything or communicate other than on X. It’s a [censored] show
I don't disagree with you but if I were to choose a poison it would be SDS all day long
Thank you pack
