Will these players be supercharged today? If not that’s not opening day content.

    Yes. Already live.

Why did this person get their question answered? I have questions. They don't get answered. This wasn't even a good question. All they had to do was turn on the game and the question is answered for them. My questions don't get answered when I turn on the game. I try to be respectful to the people at SDS and to the people in this forum, yet nothing.

I ask again, why did this question get answered? You guys pop up in about .03% of the posts in here. Why?

I'm sure you guys are all good at what you do, but this forum is one gigantic f0000xxx failure (as am I for letting this game get so under my skin). You guys are really ruining something good.

I've played since 2014 (purchased 2014, 2015, 2020, 2021 & 2022) This week playing this game has been my worst experience playing a video game ever. But... dang, it's Baseball. And I want to play.

I hope MLB recognizes that a single exclusive gaming partner is not the answer. #savebaseball

  • 100+ hours in Stadium Creator. Final thoughts on '21, and THE Top 7 stadiums
  • dr_snowquest_MLBTSD dr_snowquest_MLBTS

Overall rating: 85/100. For the first year, it was excellent (with some room for improvement).

I am mainly concerned with upgrades to the Vault. Nearly all aspects can be improved in regard to saving, accessing, viewing and using created stadiums which have been uploaded. The vault can feel useless, especially when you cannot find a stadium when searching for it by name, or by online ID.

Also, please provide an option to make the stadium files savable as just a shell. A useable stadium would be downloaded, but the bones of the work would not be copyable. You could also have the option to keep it open to be made available to be copied by all.

I was bummed to hear that '21 created stadiums would not be transferable to '22, but I expected it and understand. Overall, two thumbs up on the mode and I look forward to future improvements.

I have put these out there before. Look for the most recently loaded version (*a delete function would be great in the vault). Seven stadiums dedicated to the Kansas City Royals:

    -Royaliscious One
    -George Brett Ballpark
    -Saberhagen Cathedral
    -Yostville
    -Ace Ventura Forever
    -Salvy's Playground
    -Gordo Field

    Online ID: Stickball_Eugene
Competitive friendly stadiums. No stupid altitudes.

    Be Royaliscious, y'all.

  • Didn't somebody say something about player skill being most important this year?
  • dr_snowquest_MLBTSD dr_snowquest_MLBTS

I just played a guy who pitched Degrom, Reyes, and Soto, with over half his lineup having 125 hitting attributes and his created stadium at 5279 elevation with short fences and having homeruns leave the park with 88 mph exit velocity. Every single advantage you can have in this game is maxed out for this person. He didn't do anything but hit homeruns, and get one run on a bad catcher animation on a missed third strike. Not everybody want's this game to be a homerun derby. Is it even a priority to just have good matchups where a decent, fun, fair game can be played? There are people who actually love baseball who want to play good baseball games. I appreciate the game that you guys have made, but I wish the game showed more respect for the actual game of baseball.

  • Which high diamonds were a pleasant suprise/huge disappointment ?
  • dr_snowquest_MLBTSD dr_snowquest_MLBTS

    Pleasant Surprises:
Ricky Henderson 99 in the leadoff spot. More HRs than you might expect, plus good avg and SBs.
Joe Morgan 99. That (unexpected) power/speed combo again.
Lance Lynn 97. For the 1at half of game cycle, he was my ace. Still has good overall numbers.
Asa Lacy 97. Clayton Kershaw type dominance at lower levels. Once I play better managers in the 700s, he gets hit.
AJ Burnett 93. Another early cycle dominator. 465ks in 363 IP. .99 Whip.
Jake Diekman 83. He has 125 h/9 which plays anytime. 2.48 era and 0.71 whip. 104ks in 76 IP.
Grayson Rodriguez 99. Not really a surprise because I had no expectations. Dude is just good.

    Disappointments:
Whit Merrifield 78 Live Series. The man is a top 25 player in the MLB. He deserves at least a Gold rating on his Live Series card.
Frank Thomas 99. Can't hit with him.
Mike Trout 99. Not a bad card. I just continuously underperform with him.
Matt Kemp 99. Low Vision rating of 72 hurts and seems to impact my ability to hit as a Pure Analog player.

Boy I sure sound whiney when I re-read what I wrote while bummed after losing last night. This is my point: Salvy is my favorite player in baseball right now, and he will be one of my all-time favorites when he is done. There is no situation where he deserves 125/125 contact/power attributes (same with Adalberto last year). Those maxed out attributes should be reserved for people like Hank Aaron in his peak season, or maybe peak Jimmy Foxx or Willie Mays or Babe, and maybe a FEW other modern players. Trea Turner would still be an amazing option with contact around 112-114 vs lefties, but 125? That should be peak Tony Gywnn or Ted Williams, and maybe a FEW others ever. Keep the game more balanced and somewhat based in reality, as well as keeping user input/skill important by minimizing the number of player cards that have max or near max attributes in any hitting or pitching category.
