@xSZETHx_XBL the way it’s been presented, SDS said that in all H2H DD modes, we’re forced to pitch from the stretch.

That’s going to mean every pitch of every game.

0 reason to not give players the option to choose in H2H play

I’m praying, praying that in DD H2H modes, they actually have a “perfect” strike zone like they mistakenly claimed we have this year.

If they actually got this right, where a pitch that catches any part of the zone is a strike, I’ll be very happy but keeping expectations low

@GoozeFn_PSN oh absolutely. I’m all for a cooldown timer of sorts for quitting out of ranked games, or any H2H game, mid home run or before the 4th inning per se

@GoozeFn_PSN I don’t recall seeing it either but I feel like during the first stream, they addressed the Community stating that Ranked games took too long…which is where my assumption came in that this decision is related to that

If their goal was to reduce toxicity, I think removing the R2 spam was enough

@GoozeFn_PSN agree that pretty much for any video game, the majority isn’t online voicing complaints.

So y’all are right…the majority of online H2H DD players are probably for this choice

I just feel like if SDS’ goal was to shave length of time off ranked games, there’s gotta be a better way

If they do this they have to make it either on or off the whole game and allow the opponent to friendly quit in the first inning quit without your approval if you want to be inconsiderate with long windup pitchers

Also, this decision, pretty big middle finger to players out there who simply don’t prefer pitching from the stretch

@LIONED-33_XBL I’m not even sure it’s confirmed that online is. I heard them say it’s the default. I have not seen any confirmation it’s the only way online. I hope it is. You can definitely still pitch from the stretch offline.

I believe this is just going to lead to more toxicity when you have a ton of people slide stepping and quick pitching.

Don’t agree with the move. Let your players choose.

@GoozeFn_PSN I understand where you’re coming from and appreciate the responses. But long windups have always been in the game…and only now it’s “toxic”?

Look, I agree that long windups can be annoying. I literally would intentionally walk the first batter in some offline modes so I could get to the stretch with certain pitchers. I do think that being able to now choose stretch only in those scenarios is a great QOL addition.

But you have to consider: what about pitchers who actually have a good, smooth, efficient windup animation? We don’t get to choose to pitch from the windup in H2H mode even for non-toxic players? Why? To shave off a few minutes of play time?

I agree with you that some windups are long. So, give the players a choice!

Why let us choose in offline DD modes but force it on H2H DD modes? Literally easy to just let us toggle in H2H modes

I see it’s been confirmed that all H2H modes within DD will literally FORCE the user to pitch from the stretch.

This decision comes from the same company that promoted “Play your way!”. Now, they’re forcing us to literally play their way

What an awful, awful decision. I pray they remove this feature and let users choose how they want to pitch in H2H modes

They promoted this change to up the pace of play in H2H modes. Of all the things this community had pleaded for, they decide to try and reduce the length of H2H games

Literally one of the dumbest decisions I’ve seen from SDS since 2017 when I began playing DD

I like the idea of lineup restrictions in mini seasons to have us use cards we may not have otherwise

What I hope, is that they condense the length of mini seasons. Would be cool if you could choose to play you entire mini season and playoffs on HOF or Legend in exchange for a shorter season to reach rewards quicker
