@MetalDoc17_XBL the superhuman defence gets me everytime lol. I always have to check the player card in the stats after and it’s usually a bronze player with 65 fielding who just laid out and robbed a double in the gap or snatched a 105mph grounder down the line at 3rd and underhands a laser across the diamond to 1st. Meanwhile my diamond players are letting 60mph grounders past them because they stood still for a whole second before attempting to run through quick sand.

I’m having a blast so far. I’m a casual offline-only DD player though and just slowly making my way through conquest. Not a 16 hour a day grinder or hardcore card flipper though.
-
I was really hoping he’d be a Dodgers version. Womp womp.
-
I exclusively play DD offline and only on Rookie because I know I’m not great at the game. I mostly struggle with chasing garbage pitches (I’m too impatient and want the get through games fairly quickly).
From my play experience, it feels like certain high power players like LS Trout, Gold Judge, Jolt Muncy mash while anyone with 90 or less power hit wiffel balls that float or dribble for easy outs.
Don’t get me started on the CPU fielding vs my fielders reaction time.
-
I’ve been enjoying Shippet for my vs CPU grinding as it runs pretty smoothly.
If you stack Lefty pull hitters, you could try NLB Mack Park. RF fence is like 250ft lol and some very weakly hit fly balls we’re getting out for me
-
I’m on the Switch and I’m having a lot of fun. Yes the graphics aren’t great but the game runs well for someone who just plays casually offline.
-
It does feel like ratings have no purpose for CPU teams. I think they’ve developed some logic and “scripts” for every difficulty. From my experience in Rookie, the pitchers will almost always start the at bat by throwing 2 balls at least 6 inches out of the zone and if you are patient you’ll be rewarded with some very hittable pitches.
Fielding annoys me the most because bronze level fielders with 30-40 ratings in reaction and fielding are constantly diving around robbing me of hits. Meanwhile my gold to diamond level fielders are much slower to react and watch balls roll by.
-
Not only CPU pitching, but I think the over-performing CPU fielding is making EV seem worse than it actually is. I'm constantly getting perfect/perfect line drives up the middle snagged by the CPU SS as if he's playing with a 125 reaction speed rating. Same goes for line drives over 1B (feels like he's already jumping as soon as contact is made) or ground balls between 1B and 2B being robbed by a diving 2B.

"Hit 1 Home Run" moments are my least favourite thing in this game lol. This will be a rough program for me haha
-
I see this with buy orders all the time too, my guess is it’s somebody/bot running a script or program? It happens way too fast to be coincidence. I can usually get them to overpay or undersell too
-
LS Tatis has been a monster for me. Power, speed on base and excellent fielding.
-
@doobiebross66-72_PSN pretty sure they said the rewards for the 6 wins would be earned immediately and the leaderboard rewards would be after it ended
-
I wouldn’t feel as frustrated about cpu fielding if our fielders acted the same way. A 60 fielding and reaction for cpu is not the same as 60 on our players, ours are active liabilities while theirs are making multiple “play of the year” plays in the same game.
-
Im also a NMS offline (rookie difficulty only because im a noob). I haven’t played for a number of years as I never made the jump from PS4 to PS5. Decided to pick the game up on Switch this year.
I won’t complain about technical issues because I know I’m on the inferior system.
Conquest was my main mode last time I played so I’d love to see a large repeatable map added. DQ is ok, I’m just not a big fan of “moments” and challenges in this game. I’m a bit of a noob so making me spend time on “hit a home run” with a random player while this Veteran CPU pitcher throws you changeups and sliders in the dirt just isn’t fun. I’m into the team affinity grind and these moments yank me out of that and force me to bash my head against the wall a bit.
Haven’t started mini seasons yet as I figured I’d save that for Inning 2 for the xp.

It’s not a controller issue. It’s gotten so bad for me some games that I’ve put down the game and submitted a bug report.
It typically happens when I’m able to square up a pitch with my PCI. It’s almost like the game knows I’m about to get a great hit and prevents it and instead acts as if I got “handcuffed” by the pitch and forces me into a check swing.
I’ve played on 3 different controllers and it happens every game.
-
It'll be good for some bad for others, that's just the way luck works. I hit Ohtani, 3x Trout, 2x JRam, 2x Lindor so I feel like I'm in the good camp this year. Next year who knows.
-
@platewelder_363_PSN Harper wasn’t too bad and he’s a ton of fun to play with.
-
I wish it applied to the CPU too. Bronze players have no issue playing like hall of fame calibre gold glovers while my diamonds are stuck in mud for 2 seconds before moving.
-
3 for me out of the free packs obtained through conquest and other programs (maybe 75ish?). Trout, Yordan and Merrill.
