    XP Cap and Offline Players
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

The XP cap explanation is just flat-out not fair to offline players. I despise online play. I can do it to a small degree (around 600 ranked tops ) but I'm not very good and I hate it beyond words. I think online play is unfair for one. People at the top ( 900+ ) get to complete BR and Events playing downhill to people with greatly inferior skills. While people in the 400-600 range like myself are playing uphill against people with greater skill almost constantly. This means the people at the top almost never play against people of the same skill or greater and people at the bottom do it constantly. That's just not fair and to allow people with the greatest skill to get the rewards by playing people of vastly inferior skill and be rewarded for it is in my opinion just straight-up bullying. So I don't touch online unless I feel I have no choice. 2 fixes would greatly improve online play IMO. 1 put in another line at 700 like there is at 400. That way nobody who even 1 time gets above 700 in rank in an entire year can play down for rewards. This way everyone has a more equal path to the rewards by playing people of similar skill levels. 2 Use ranking in all online modes and all online modes affect your ranking.

I said all the above about ranked play so my position on online play was clear. It's not fair to offline people who don't want to touch the online programs to miss out on that XP. I thought I could play my way? Please increase offline program xp in like conquests and mini-seasons for offline players so we don't have to play online.

TLDR: please find a way to increase xp for offline players so we don't have to do online programs for xp to keep up or eliminate the XP cap and raise the xp gains back to previous years levels.

    Edit:
As for getting 99s early. There should only be 3 99s in the game until around the All-Star game at the earliest. 1 AL reward, 1 NL reward, 1 full Live series Collection. You created this problem by putting 99s in the game way to early. Please don't punish us for this choice.

  • Not even coming at any of y’all but how are you guys genuinely enjoying this game when it comes to DD
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

My Mom is 74 and has stage 4 cancer. I take care of her full-time. When I play this game, I want no stress. I want to relax and walk through content like I'm God. No sweat games, no frustration. But frustration and anger is all I seem to get when I play this year's game. It's not only not fun to play but for me an act of frustration as well. IMO, to cover for the very little content they release, they intentionally made it take longer to complete. For some it makes it more grindy, others it makes it harder. I for one wish the moments for example were on rookie. Vet is harder than all-star for me for some reason. I want a relaxing fun time, and this game just doesn't do it this year for me.

  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

I absolutely hate this. Either make the ranked program cards sellable or Leave the program cards unsellable and cut the program requirement by 75%. The only thing this does is make me not want to play ranked at all

Where is the SDS that pushed the narrative of " You can earn all cards through just playing the game " . SDS should be ashamed for putting the best Topps Now cards in packs you have to buy.

  • Thoughts and early feedback
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

The game plays really well overall. but there are a couple of things that could need improving.

    1. The CPU needs to be sent back to the minors until it can learn to throw strikes again! Way too many walks given and balls being thrown.

    2. The XP cap is way too low. You don't punish pvp'ers you reward their style of gameplay by letting them gain progress on even offline content while pvp' ing. So why are you punishing Grinders for their style of play? Do people who pvp stop getting pvp progress after playing pvp for too long? Then why are people who grind? Please increase the daily XP cap by a lot, if not remove it completely.

    3. The new system of lower game xp given and more program xp given feels less rewarding.

    4. Whatever the loud elephant noises are, could you please vividly describe how to turn that annoying sound off?

I personally feel this is a debate about conflicting play styles. You are rewarding pvp'ers and that style of play ( esp the top pvp'ers) but punishing people who enjoy grinding. If one person can get the top rewards through excellence of play, ( flawless run, rank 900+ ) why can't the grinding method be just as viable? One person runs flawless to get the best rewards while another gets there through long and dedicated gameplay of grinding. I guess I just don't see a difference between rewarding the top pvp'ers with double rewards and allowing those grinders willing to put in the time and dedication to be equally rewarded. Because although we love the same thing in Baseball, how we enjoy it differs, and that should be ok.

  • Did the CPU pichers all lose their sight?
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

What kills me is there was an issue with their precious pvp and that got fixed immediately. But this and the complaints about the xp are just completely ignored. If they could fix pvp so quick they could fix this just as quick but that kinda of service is reserved for pvp.

  • Daily xp cap too low
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

    SDS,
Imagine the outrage if you told your PVP'ers " You can only play 3 pvp games daily, then you have to play RTTS". Can you imagine the outrage? Because this is exactly what you have told your offline and casual grinders. The XP cap is way too low and very frustrating. Some of us get our joy from grinding. It's our escape to get lost in this great world of baseball. Please remove the xp cap.

  • Chase Packs and the shop
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

Opening a Chase pack and getting a gold card is discouraging beyond words. Last year you heard the community didn't like this and got rid of it. Why bring it back? I play another game called Bauldur's Gate 3. When recently receiving the Game of the Year award, the head of that studio gave a speech aimed at game developers and studios falling into the trap of chasing greed. I wish you would look up his words and take them to heart. There was a time not too long ago when in this wonderful game you could earn all the best cards and fill out all collections by simply playing the game. Not buy them in the shop and hope you get lucky. Now even the xp has been nerfed. Will that be for sale in the shop next? With best regards, One disappointed Customer

@DivineFury75 The game just came out. You know they're gonna be adding programs, updating mini seasons, dropping random conquests, etc. You guys are acting like the game as it is now is what its gonna be forever....with no offline updates or additions.

SMH Online players can get almost 100k XP that Offline players won't ever see but we should just sit back and hope they don't continue to forget all about us and give Online all the attention.

    @Sarge1387

    I just played this game:
    https://mlb24.theshow.com/games/390503660?platform=xbl&username=BlindBleeder

I received 6,756 XP for it. That includes 750 XP from the TA S1 C2 NLW reward path (which isn't susceptible to double XP). That is pitiful. That is less than regular XP from last year and before. It makes me want to go back to the days when I played Franchise and was ignorant of what XP was. I have to stop now because I am beginning to feel disgusted.

They cut xp in about half to start the year. So with this double xp weekend, we've been getting the normal xp rate from years past.

  • Why SDS hates offline players?
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

@foresticek said in Why SDS hates offline players?:

I'm really disappointed with Single player missions in TA3. They divided missions into separated offline modes, but mostly they nerfed xp from them into oblivion...
We now get not even 50% of xp compared to TA2. This is just not fair, when we have much less time to enjoy these cards.

Also Player exchanges nerfed a lot, price was doubled for the same amount of xp...

And why the hell we can't have at least five moments for each division?

I was looking forward today, but only feeling now is disappointment, poor job SDS, I don't think I will make it even into Season 2 this year

I was coming to the forums to post this same thing. I'm so disappointed that it's so much more of a grind for offline players.

  • MOMENTS OF GLORY PROGRAM
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

I would ALMOST prefer moments on all-star than veteran. Veteran difficulty is harder than all-star for me. I think offline content for the most part should be casual and God mode. Everything should be rookie and easy mode. This entire year offline content has been like the person responsible for the extreme program doing all offline content , designing it for the extreme program and nerfing it just a little.

  • Diamond Quest Feedback
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

The mode isn't that bad, but I think it needs a few tweaks. For starters, the odds for rookie and veteran needs to be improved...A LOT. The difficulty for missions and moments to be lowered because if I wanted to deal with GOD mode defense I would go play a showdown. In one mini-boss encounter alone, I had 3 diving catches to rob me of extra base hits in a row. Because of the low chance of getting rewarded, it's just hard to justify the time spent playing. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things. The mode has a lot of potential but is just not new and casual player-friendly. It's like you designed everything for 99 god squads and forgot we have bronze and silvers to play with. I hope you remember your causal players soon.

  • RTTS 2-way players
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

I've been playing a lot of RTTS for some xp and very casual play. I don't know if it's been covered or not but the 2-way player seems punished in comparison to position players and pitchers. They are given lower scores in the combine. Given lower stats when upgrading from bronze to diamond. Just in every way seems to be punished for being a 2-way player no matter how good you do. You are genuinely better off being a pitcher or position player instead of both. It really hurts the RP element. I understand when this was tied to dd to nerf the 2-way player but now that they are separate again, could you look at the 2-way arch-type in RTTS?

  • Showdowns
  • DivineFury75_PSND DivineFury75_PSN

    @PScrabro_PSN said in Showdowns:

Showdown can be frustrating for sure and almost seems rigged sometimes to fail.

For me, I guess it's a deep frustration that the difficulty isn't the same across the board. The same veteran difficulty and sliders in a VS CPU game is the same veteran difficulty and sliders you should face in every ounce of content that is veteran difficulty. Whether it's showdowns, moments, or conquests. One difficulty. The same All-star Difficulty and sliders used for a VS CPU game should be the same All-star difficulty and sliders in every other ounce of content. Whether it's online, conquests, showdowns or moments. If The difficulty and sliders were the same across the board then there wouldn't be such a huge leap in difficult in online and showdowns and people would be better prepared for other content they don't normally do. They would know what to expect when they see the difficulty rating.

@GixxerRyder750 said in XP Cap and Offline Players:

XP Cap affects Online Players the exact same as Offline. You realize that right. In actuality, they'll hit the cap first because they're receiving XP Multipliers while you're playing on Rookie. All the extra XP is earned through the program which isn't effected by the XP Cap. The whole idea behind how XP works this year is that everyone still has the opportunity to earn all those high end 99 cards. Offline and Online alike, but online players have the opportunity to earn them faster. It used to be that the only way you could even obtain a lot of the high end cards was to play online and actually win. Now, theoretically, you could go in to ranked, set your controller down and collect innings and eventually accrue enough points to collect those same cards that they're actually trying to obtain by winning. It's the second week of the games life cycle...they're going to be tons of programs offering tons of XP that won't be affected by the XP Cap. You'll get your 3 99 boss cards. You're just upset that you can't have them tomorrow.

Online players are not affected like offline players because they are getting way more xp in programs, which is the exact point of my post

SAY IT WITH ME NOW!!! XP FROM PROGRAMS IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE XP CAP! They're receiving more XP than you because they're CHOOSING to play a mode that you're REFUSING to play.

You're complaint isn't wrong...Yes Online players receive more XP than Offline. But the XP Cap has nothing to do with that.

Would you read my post. I"M ASKING FOR AN OFFLINE PROGRAM TO GRIND OR THE REMOVAL OF THE XP CAP
