How do you know which SP you'll face?
  • dfwrazorback_MLBTSD dfwrazorback_MLBTS

I get what you are asking and it does become a bit of a guessing game when you have two or more guys with the same overall and inside edge isn't a factor. I try to make a mental note or check recent box scores if facing the same team again between roster updates.

Edit - just to clarify, this is conquest I'm referring to. In mini seasons for me it's always based on what slot they are in regardless of overall rating.

They seem pretty much of a muchness once you've done all the agendas once.

They did say they'd be properly fixing the WBC Mini Seasons, so hopefully that's soon because i miss it.

Lately i've just been doing the April Flowers Conquest.
20 standards is not great, but it's better than nothing.

The newest conquest has a repeatable reward of 3 ballin packs and is a little smaller. I'm debating which is better between playing 11 games for 20 standard packs or 8 games for 3 ballins. Neither is great but it's good to break up the MS monotony.

And confirmation that they are working on fixing the WBC mini season to restore the championship reward. So two bits of potentially good news.

Agreed. Having just one fairly short TA at the start of the season has left a gaping content hole this year. They seemed to hint on the opening day stream that there would be some sort of similar content to replace it but that clearly hasn't happened, unless their idea of "similar content" is cityscapes, murals and vintage.

  • No content coming.
  • dfwrazorback_MLBTSD dfwrazorback_MLBTS

Just to add that since there isn't any new offline content until Friday the XP disparity between online and offline players is quickly growing less than a week into the new inning. There really needs to be some form of small repeatable XP added to either a conquest map or mini season.

Great post, as a long time player I totally agree. This is the first year since DD began that I'm close to checking out before the all star break.

Just like DQ rewards. And it gives players that are good a chance to make some extra stubs if they want to repeat just like DQ!

I am in general agreement that the program is a good idea, however it would be nice if they swung this the other way and allowed the casual grinders chances to sell cards too.

Its fine for skilled (or willing to cheese) players having more stub per hour potential, but mini seasons havent evolved enough for the casual crowd. We are still only giving out deluxe packs, not even choice, and all mini season/conquest cards are no sell

Again, letting people playing on HoF/Legend get faster stubs is fine, but they need to bring up the other side a bit as well. Theres too much RNG with show/non choice deluxe packs especially now that even most 90 live series dont sell for much.

Agreed. They showed by doing this that they are open to allowing rewards from certain modes to be sellable that previously haven't been. There are plenty of people that don't like conquest or mini seasons but those are my favorite modes so I would be happy to grind those repeatedly and sell the extras to those who would rather spend their time playing their preferred modes just as I was happy to pay 22k for DeGrom rather than flail away in a mode that I don't particularly care for.

@dfwrazorback_MLBTS what are you playing for 5 hrs and only getting 10k. You could win a mini season and get more than that.

I was mid-typing this same sort of response.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re not getting the final XP reward each inning it’s due to one of two things:

    1. Not playing enough. Which is fine. Some of us are grown adults who don’t want or need to be playing video games as much as I, also a grown adult, do. But if this is you, don’t complain. The fix is to play more, as it really should be. You get rewarded for playing, not existing.

    2. Not being efficient with your play time. I’ve mentioned this numerous times and other threads, but you should be able to meet the XP requirements just by playing mini seasons. Just by repeating conquests. Things like that. Honestly, efficient plays vs. CPU games could work.

Now I will admit, there could be a whole number of reasons why either reason one or two are happening, but “lack of content“ and “it’s too hard“ or pretty much any other reason are not legitimate complaints when it comes to not completing the XP path.

The bonus XP rewards for mini seasons and conquests aren't repeatable. I have completed every mini season so when I replay one for the other repeatable rewards the XP I get from just game XP is about 10k in a typical evening which is about half what I would get in previous years. Again, I'm just talking about game XP and not the one off bonus XP from programs, conquests and mini seasons. As it happens I just got to 400k last night. Before this year I would have had multiple wheel spins by the end of an inning.

Not sure where to post this, but I guess it’s related to this XP Path thread….

Just played a 9 inning Cityscape mini season game. On Veteran. scored 10 runs on 15 hits. Gave up 2. Got a 3-inning save out of it. Homers, doubles, triples, stolen bases.

Got 2,167 XP. You read that right. 2-1-6-7.

Sheesh. And for that, I just passed the 320k mark and got (drum roll please)….1500 stubs.

At this rate, I’ll need to play at about 10 more 9 inning mini season games to JUST GET the Live Series 85+ pack.

This is ridiculous. I have stronger words, but they’d be censored.

This highlights the biggest problem with XP this year. I have had the same routine for years which is to play roughly 5 hours per session about 3-4 times per week. In years past I would earn 20-25K XP of game XP in a typical session. This year I'm getting about 10k for the same amount of time played.

It's an annoying two part task. As you move to your left and time slows down you get a large circle and you have to hit X in the small ring and it will turn green showing that you fielded the grounder correctly. Then you hit the triangle (PS5) to throw to 2nd base at which point you get the random guitar hero thing where you have to click the correct button sequence and it will complete the double play from there. Since part of the challenge is to win the game you can't just throw to first because the runner at 3rd will score, you have to go for the double play.

  • Consensus on Innings 3 XP path?
  • dfwrazorback_MLBTSD dfwrazorback_MLBTS

One other helpful thing is that this inning is a week longer than the 2nd inning. So we have extra time to get fewer XP points and at least at the start they seem more generous with the XP.

Hopefully a lot because it seems many of us are in the same boat. I’m only at 335,000 myself and the progress has been painfully slow.

I'm at 380,000 and I don't think I'm going to make it. I'm really doubtful. I've been going through TA and getting up to the 4500 XP reward before going to the next one. Really scraping the bottom of the pan for the XP here

Only 20k XP in the Witt program which isn't enough to get me to 500k (first time ever) so I'll just do something else tonight and save that for the weekend.

    @rubicante23_PSN said:

@dfwrazorback_MLBTS lol, the program isn't gonna be limited to 24 hours.

No, the program itself wouldn't be. I meant they could include a bunch of XP and adjust that down. They have done that in the past, adding some nice XP late in an inning and adjusting it down at the start of the next inning.

  • What is tomorrow's program?
  • dfwrazorback_MLBTSD dfwrazorback_MLBTS

Hopefully it will include a [censored] ton of XP. They can always make it time limited to crank it down on Friday when the new inning starts.

I've logged 250hrs and i still need 18k. Need to do a ton of grading this week so I may not finish. I should've finished the 125k i needed over double xp weekend but game play XP was throttled during this inning compared to 1st inning. So unless some intern keyed in the wrong value like Bungie programmers supposedly did when they were caught doing the same thing, it's intentional.

I played 5 hours Sunday night consisting of a couple of conquest games and several 3- and 9-inning mini season games and got a whopping 20k XP. That's with double XP going on. Something was seriously off this inning.
