Why do ppl complain immediately after they fail new content.

    “Al Kaline - I can’t hit a HR”

    “Showdown - perfect/perfect out”

    And so on.

This game isn’t perfect but would be ridiculous if everything could be completed on the first try.

There is plenty of content for 99.9% of the population.

Lol hate post 7 minutes after drop. So ridiculous.

  • CPU Defensive Positioning
  • D dfent12

    In RS only.....
They need to change the auto defensive shifts and situational shifts. I think it should be up to the user to make these decisions (example: no doubles late in game or the “Ortiz shift”).

It is bailing out to many bad players late in games.

@Dynasty238 said in Late inning blown games RS:

Is this a problem for anyone? It is getting ridiculous for me. Today I have lost FOUR games in the 8th inning or later while I was up 6-3 , 4-0 and 3-0, and 2-0 The other opponent had less then 5 hits in all 3 occasions. I’ve tried everything. Keeping my starter in, bringing in Kluber with full energy in the 9th, or just simply going with elite relievers. No matter what there is an error, 1 or 2 sawed off hits followed by a home run. Mix in a passed ball in there too. It’s actually unreal, it’s like you do not want to have a lead late in games. I’d say it might be me and my skill level but come on I can’t control these cheap hits, errors and good timing pitches missing middle. Is anyone else having this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any advice on how to seal these games up.

I think it’s important to have players in their primary position at the end of games with the lead. It’s always helpful to have an elite blocking catcher so you can feel comfortable throwing all pitches in the dirt.

I think too many ppl populate their bench with the 5 best hitters available. Instead put 1 or 2 defensive subs to help you close out games.

If your gunna play good players with a [censored] catcher it will force you to throw too many strikes and they will time one up late in games with elite hitters.

  • It's over. After weeks of flipping...
  • D dfent12

@BodamEscapePlan said in It's over. After weeks of flipping...:

Honestly, now that I'm done... I'll share my method but be warned, it's tedious, boring and you have to be patient sometimes.

Bronze cards are your moneymakers. Sure, you can buy Commons for the 5 or 6 quick-sell price and take advantage when they're selling for around 40-50 Stubs. I did that with a few cards and I mostly stuck to ones that I knew usually sold for more. The biggest thing though is, take advantage of having unlimited buy orders, that alone made flipping so much better for me.

The best advice I ever heard when it came to flipping sounds so simple but it helped me change my mindset, "all profit is good profit." Now, that doesn't mean buy a card for 45 Stubs and sell him at 50 Stubs, but making 40-50 Stubs on each card you flip adds up so quickly. The last two days, I focused on low-bronzes that I could put buy orders in around 25-30 Stubs and then I could sell them for 80-110 Stubs a piece. The more you flip, the more you realize there are certain teams that move much quicker, sell for more, and just have excellent profit margins, but on the flipside, there's teams you want to avoid like the plague! For example, the Angels are a waste of time and personally, I more often than not have been disappointed by Cubs and Cardinals players for whatever reason. Oh, and the Yankees! There isn't much Stubs to be made off the Yankees.

Aside from that, it's all about finding your rhythm. If you place a buy order and the profit margins are nice but by the time you actually get the card, the margins have dropped -- hold onto them! Chances are the price will be back to a healthy profit within the next 6-12 hours.

I hope this helps someone. Good luck guys!

Congrats! I accomplished LS collections as well. It’s a great feeling and makes your ranked team so much better. Now it’s the grind to prestige all those great cards.

One thing I would add to your stub making method is playing the market based off the schedule. The majority of stubs I’ve made on the market are from investing. What I mean is pay attention to the SDS schedule and their plan for player programs, monthly awards, and events. Buy cards based off of that. For example, events prices increase because of the increase in buy now orders. Program prices increase because the majority of players opt to do exchanges rather than missions or moments.

It’s rewarding completing the LS collection after being smart and frugal with your stubs!

  • 3B Upgrade
  • D dfent12

Looking to improve my 3B position. Currently using LS Suarez (worst and weakest player on my squad). Looking at team affinity Moncada, team infinity Seager, or BO Matthews.

Anyone use the above or have any suggestions?

  • Lefty relievers
  • D dfent12

Dekman. Throws hard with movement from a 3/4 arm slot.

  • Am i the only one that sucks with 99 Reggies Jackson lol
  • D dfent12

Be patient. He’s so good that he will make weak contact with a lot of pitches outside the zone that most players swing and miss on.

Britton card will be unhittable . By far best LH Reliever available and it’s not even close.

    Pitch better?

I’m not saying the game has issues but I don’t want to hear the excuse ‘hitting is too hard’ or ‘ hitting is broke’ when things are nerfed.

Oh 100% but it is frustrating when people are on 98-100 with Newhouser but also on every single one of his other 5 pitches.

But you are right. I need to be better too! Mistake pitches get punished

Mistake pitched should always get punished or at least sit hard.

Idk, I read a lot of complaints on here and other than the defensive issues specially with fly balls I enjoy the game play.

Pitching is rewarding if you stay focused and have a plan. As the user you can’t take pitches off. And if there can be perfect/perfect outs offensively I’m ok with that being evened out by perfect/perfect pitches missing spots.

Overall I feel like you can’t have a system where if the user executes perfect/perfect (in any aspect of the game) it results in 100% success rate.

  • Gold 1 Choice
  • D dfent12

Coming up on gold 1 and looking for advice on who to pick. I am leaning towards Minoso but I have never used or seen his swing. My other thoughts would be Larkin or Sandberg. My CAP is at C and I took Jackson at Silver 1.

    Here is my current lineup:

    C CAP
    1B Giambi
    2B Alomar
    3B Matthews
    SS Tatis FOF
    LF Victorino
    CF Finley
    RF Jackson

  • 1 out of 10. 10 being the best game you have ever played.
  • D dfent12

I’d give it a 6. I really enjoy the game and there is a ton of new content every week. Fix the defensive issues and I’d bump it up to an 8.

I can honestly say SDS has made a good product during a time that is difficult to run a company.

  • My issue with showdown final bosses
  • D dfent12

@GradektheBard said in My issue with showdown final bosses:

And really, this applies to CPU pitching in general but is especially egregious in boss battles, and that is the ability of the CPU to paint the black (and get every call) at will. My last boss battle (which I won) was a great example. I had Hader at 0 energy and virtually zero confidence with 13 outs to go and a guy with 54 bb/9 and 63 control threw roughly 75% of his remaining strikes on the black. CPU pitching needs to be more realistic based on their attributes, but I guess this is what we will get from a company that makes every CPU fielder a diamond.

I hear you but if you swing at hitable pitches and take balls and good strikes you shouldn’t have a problem beating any of the bosses. You have to be willing to strike out looking on a pitchers pitch.

The system is set up to give the user enough hitable pitches to come back from 0-15, so failure is 100% user failure.

  • Who to pick from level 1 silver pack?
  • D dfent12

I took Reggie at Silver 1 and Minoso at Gold 1. Happy with both selections.

That’s a connection issue. Either you or your opponent have a bad connection. It has nothing to do with SDS and all of their issues.
