@Capt-Clutch-2K24_PSN Precisely why I am considering not buying and I have both ps5 and x. I am on fiber in KC and the game plays extremely bad (I could list a plethora of things I see in the game that cause problems. Hitting/pitching/fielding all affected) starting around July when a lot of people start leaving. It was earlier this year and majority of my match-ups were against east coast (yes, I checked quite a few of them) and the p2p with east coast people were dreadful. Looks like the bad matchmaking may happen at launch alienating that many people.

Way more people play offline than online. Game would not survive online only. That being said, online connections are atrocious. I have google fiber and no matter what I do, 80% of the games are not fun. I am constantly matched with east/west coast opponents and have a ton of screen shots going 4-20 on good swings while opponent is 5-8 and I am often losing these games. I just want a fun experience, I don't care if I win or lose. I probably have 300 quits. You can't punish quits if you are not giving a way for people to see the connection in the game like an accurate ping indicator which should have been done years ago.

If you are going to keep the horrid P2P connections, tournaments should have dedicated servers. SDS pulls resources during tournaments so they don't get embarrassed by the horrid connections like they did early in the year. Yes, let's pull resources for the 16 tournament players and to hell with the other players playing that weekend.

You mean like how on wired fiber or 5g wireless fiber I can't get a hit and everyone is hitting golf balls against me.

Had a game where I faced Donaldson on wired fiber and couldn't touch the ball. Very few hits, balls going nowhere, etc. The normal 20 things you see when the connection is bad. Very next game faced Donaldson on Tmobile hot spot and scored 10 in 3 innings and the guy quit. Connections are hands down the worst thing about this game and it isn't close.

Mantle is worth it just for defense. Hands down the best defensive CF I have seen this year.

It will get worse the more people quit. I grind to get players for RS. I am not wasting time grinding when online is horrid. This is why I am at 0% on Set 4 after completing the first 3 in a few weeks each.
Game has been horrid online for a few months.

Horrible online play along with Sets killed it for me. I have seen zero reason to grind at least 40+ hours to finish a TA when my goal is to get these cards for online play when I can no longer hit the 120 mph wiffle balls that I am seeing.

Also the amount of unsellable cards has played a factor also.

Yea, I can only do this on HOF against 120 mph wiffle ball pitchers or legend which is worse.

I agree 100%!! Every card in this game should be sellable!! If I earned it or bought it, I should be able to do with it what I want to do with it Keep it, collect it, auction it, QS it. My choice!

If the cards were sellable what on earth would the flawless and WS clowns do to get stubs? Whole sellable thing is because some streamers could only make 100k instead of 250k for their flawless and WS awards.

Too many games listening to streamers. Streamers DO NOT help your game as much as you think. Majority (notice I did not say all) are scum and scam artists.

This for me. PUBG console is wrecked with mods/mnk (actually think I watch more TV now than anything) and when I play I would rather play that game still.

First weekend of Sets 1, 2 and 3 I did the moments, showdowns and conquest to get around 50%. I did this because I used to enjoy RS and getting good cards for that. Now, everything is non-sellable and online play is horrible on my fiber internet. I am at 0% on Set 4. I don't fault them for trying sets but this game feels like 18. Bad online play and ridiculous grinds for not much reward. I also didn't do the last BR program or the last I don't know 3 events.

I logon every so often just to play RS and see how bad the connection is. I usually don't last very long. I'm not going to waste 45 minutes trying to catch up to someone's 120 mph wiffle balls. I guess it could be my google fiber, what was once a $300 router, $500 monitor or Cat6 cables.

What PA said. Everything from this point forward will always be useable. We can’t use sets 1&2 again until season 6 , and set 3 will be unavailable just for season 5.

Funny thing I can’t grind. Here the program dropped on Thursday and it’s Monday and I haven’t done nothing. All I want is Jimmie Foxx and yet I have no desire to play rookie/veteran BS stuff to get him. Seems I have awoken to reality

Exactly. I never thought I’d see @arvcpa_MLBTS posting like this. I wish they’d host a town hall so we could hear them try to explain some of this.

Didn't they say something about a stream next week as well? Surely it can't be as cringe as this past stream........................That was disgustipating...

They have to get some better people to run the streams. Listening to Ashley and the other two bozos continually say “yeah, this card will play” over and over was nauseating.

Just once I would love to hear one of them say, "Nah. F* this card. It wouldn't even make my bench."

If you are talking about the recent Trout and Story, you have to reset your lineup. Delete and redo your lineup and you will be able to use them both.

My wife said last night "I thought you were supposed to be starting a new series or something on your stupid game".

I said "I'm not even interested. And yes, now I consider it to be a "stupid game" too".

For one of the few times in the 25 years we've been married, I left her speechless. So, we just sat quietly with Netflix's "Quarterback" in the background and worked on a puzzle. That was way more satisfying than TA4. Finding a random piece and placing it perfectly? Just as good as a Perfect/Perfect.

BTW - if you haven't watched it, "Quarterback" is good. Even my wife likes it, so...

P.S. I'm sure someone at SDS is monitoring the game activity right now, and a red alert went up. "Why isn't arvcpa playing TA4? He always jumps right into the new content". They're probably using my MLBTS app to listen in on my conversations with my wife. "He's working on a JIGSAW PUZZLE??? Good Lord, what have we done with this "sets" thing?!?!".

Probably not. But I like to think that's what's happening.

Last 3 I have jumped into moments, showdowns and then conquest with the mission players. I do this only to get good cards to play online. Online is playing so bad I logged on last night, looked, quit the game and went to something else.

These last 2 posts sum it up pretty good. I would give gameplay about a 4 due to connections/servers. Pretty on par with 18 for me as far as product.

Applying that understanding to this situation the likely hood is that "rule" would all to Thuney who made a poor choice to air his issue in an open public forum. We are in an age where creators are getting more and more affiliations and collaborations with companies but are not fully understand that once you do that there are reasonable limits to what is acceptable from one side and not acceptable from the other.

Bottom line is he made statements as a partner to a company and they didn't like how he went about it so they cut ties. That's how it works, if they banned him from playing the game that would be considered excessive but cutting ties for thr working relationship is reasonable in its context

We are in an age where streamers/creators have entirely too much influence on games. Listening to these people have made games worse. Gaming companies have gotten greedy and lazy. Instead of marketing the game to sell, they use streamers/creators and give these people special privileges.

Aaron Judge just signed an endorsement deal with Jordan is he supposed to pay for his Jordan gear to endorse the brand? Does someone who does a commercial for a company pay full price for whatever they do the commercial for? C’mon now, you’re say you’re a 50+ year old man, you should have a better understanding of the world by this point.

If a zombie apocalypse ever broke out (walking dead not world war z because we would all be screwed), it wouldn't be the zombies I worry about. 100% be the people left alive.

I have played like 61 innings this RS, not even 7 full games. I would normally do that on a Friday night or Saturday. Not playing very much because the game plays terrible online. Haven't done like the last 3 programs or BR because if online isn't fun what's the point.
