I just played a ranked game with all star, draft and derby cards to see what I got. 6 innings and 6 runs got me 4k pxp.

So since I am absolutely bored of my video games tonight I decided to look and see how far away I was from Carlos. 21 of 30.

All Star game - Need 5. Might get 1 if I can get to WS from WC. Big if. Peters 86k, Luzardo 86k, Chapman 48k. If I get WS reward and Buxton (still 80k xp away) that is around 220k.

Draft - 23 of 29. 6 around 12k. Kind of waiting for these to drop even further like close to QS. No need to buy these yet but very reasonable.

All Star - 1 away with 3 cards around 115k or so. Hefty price for a useless card.

Postseason - 1 away with Berkman coming in at 336k and Stanton at 300k. Both comical but at least Berkman is useable.

Veteran - 1 away. 80k for a useless Miller card.

Signature - 1 away. Will likely just wait until I get Singleton. Red at 100k is again comical.

Prime - 1 away. 347 k Simmons. Again comical.

Awards - 6 away. Couple are reasonable. Perdomo at 535k is beyond ridiculous. Bellinger at 100k when there are 2 better all star versions is comical. Useless Biggio for 100k.

Milestone - 1 away. Will get Kell in the XP path at some point.

Egg Hunt - 1 away. 335k Mookie. Easily the most ridiculously priced card maybe I have ever seen. Likely punt this one.

Spotlight - Been punting this the whole time because you actually have to buy or pull these and I rarely pull them. Can only get to like 43 of the 102 and buy price to finish is showing at 814,089. LOL. Will likely be my 2nd punt.

Even waiting for Kell, Buxton and maybe getting WS Beli or Duran looks to be around 1.1 million or so. Maybe I'll luck into a few of these.

Yes, that is why all these cards are absolutely ridiculous. I've seen 3 streamers promoting this site with discount codes. How can one person get banned but not these 3? Just another shady thing in a long line of shady things from SDS this year.

With the bots/3rd party stub sites and the cheaters, legit players are getting bent over really hard this year. Will be interesting to see if SDS gets punished for it next year.

Investing and spending is not more important than actually playing baseball. In fact I have been saying all along that I've been able to complete these collections by simply playing the game. But people get really mad when I say that.

I guess you could possibly play DQ for 2 hours a day and maybe get it. That's if you want to play that garbage mode and maybe not even get the elite prize and who really wants to play this mode that much. It's not fun. I had to play this for a few Beltran collections.

It doesn't irritate me that you say you have it. It's the people that can say it can be done while their pulling Judge/Ohtani, buying stubs, playing 6 hours a day, WS players (Oh yea, I've done this too and still not to Beltran) that sold the WS reward for 200k or played high in WC where the rewards are better.

Without these things it is extremely difficult to do the collections and a very unrewarding game. I played as much time on PGA Tour 2k35 as I did on PS5 MLB The Show and felt very rewarded for my time. Maybe because I didn't have to rely on pulling Ohtani, Judge, Chase cards or rare round cards.

I'm just sharing my experience so others are aware that it can be done. I have not done any of those things you listed and it was not extremely difficult at all.

Looked up your hours. You are not getting all the collections done in 2 hours a day without something in that list happening. You are full of [censored]. Is the point to try to discredit me? It's a forum I could not care less about what people on this forum think of me. Is it to make yourself look cool? Yea, no one cares. Is it to try to be optimistic and give people "hope" for collections? Think they would rather have the truth.

So I haven't done any of these and still well over 1 million+ from Beltran. I would love to know how you are making stubs just "playing the game" without doing any of the above. I don't know what your point is. Almost feels like you need validation, hey look at me. There's something you're not telling us and likely won't because you will do anything possible to say that I am wrong even though I am actually doing it. I don't bs people.

I've seen SDS devote more time and effort to trying to correct the abuses of the community market than they have spent fixing the many basic gameplay bugs that have plagued this title for years. I'm not going to criticize SDS for trying to fix this -- just the opposite. I appreciate the effort. But, it's like trying to pound sand into smaller rocks!

Perhaps it is the best idea for SDS to recognize the situation and remove the community market and replace it with different options.

First, vice award specific cards, instead award card vouchers. People can earn them only through quality of online and offline play and then redeem them for their choice of any player's card whose attributes match the level of the voucher so earned. This means customers can get the cards they most desire, but based not on trading in a virtual market filled with nefarious influences, but on the quality of their individual play in the game.

Second, fix something that your competitors long ago recognized was an ill advised tactic. Stop tying equipment to attributes. And by ending that practice, make all equipment freely available in the game. This entirely removes all motivation to put equipment or any other items like it on a market. People can tailor their game appearance and avatar players any way they wish. Equipment becomes what it really should have always been -- a purely cosmetic reflection of the desire of the paying customers for their game copy.

Third, stubs are removed from the game. They would serve no purpose. Continue to have customers earn tokens in RTTS that they can then use to tailor avatar player attributes, but continue to make those tokens earnable only through quality of play in RTTS with the avatar player, based on customer game control pad inputs.

Conclusion: make the game more fidelis to the concept of instant and accurate reaction in the game to human player inputs on the control pad. In short, simplify through removal of game code layers and return the title to direct human control without delays and make the quality of the control pad input the sole determination of play outcome. Make the game's reward system strictly based on quality of customer play within the game. Devote your energies to making the game code reflect basic physics of ball to bat, glove to ball, and hand to throw inputs as well as common sense principles of how baseballs react to weather environments such as wind, temperature, humidity, and rain.

You said make the game's reward system strictly based on quality of customer play within the game. You do realize this game has a huge cheating problem that has not been addressed. It's already a huge problem in Weekend Classic.

Those cards and Red are ridiculously overpriced. Would they be that high if 3rd party sites weren't involved? I don't think they would even be close. These bots/3rd party sites have absolutely destroyed the market. Another thing it does is takes money out of SDS' hands. They then have to do other things to get money. I think that is why we are seeing so many switch hitter chase cards too.

For all you wandering, I'm not complaining. I'm just telling how it is. I'll get Beltran when I get him.

Also, I don't have Beltran. How am I supposed to prepare for the next collection? I just recently got Martinez so even if I wanted to invest, I didn't have the stubs. If I get Beltran in the next month, maybe I'll look into "investing" in some cards.

Yea, some people on here really have no idea how hard it is when you don't pull any of these and almost all your diamond pulls are 3k quick sell.

I think I've only had 2 pulls over 50k. One being the base Roch and the other was Stanton this week. I sold Stanton hoping he comes down in a few weeks.

I don't ask for great pulls every run but certainly more than a few in 4 months. I don't think people understand how ridiculous stubs are when you don't get good pulls.

I have a lot more time to play than most playing this game. I have 99 Miggy and just got 99 Victor recently. I have more cards than most. I can only imagine how frustrated most people are that don't have the time.

Should we talk about the bots increasing prices in the market which really hurts legit people playing the game?

Should we talk about the WBC glitchers? You didn't mention that? Did you partake in that? Sorry if I'm wrong but you seem like a person that would do that and then talk down to people that can't make stubs just playing the game because they never or rarely pull anything.

Should we talk about the cheaters? Like I said in my previous post, OhChev and Sam Adams just played some. One with a top 50 and one with 1000 rating.

Every one of these last 3 things hurt legit players yet nothing has been done about them. Maybe I get better pulls if WBC glitchers don't take THOUSANDS (if not more) packs and players. Maybe instead of 200k for some of these trash cards, they are at 30k. Playing cheaters in WC has definitely taken loads of players/stubs from legit players. I guess all these things are OK with you.

I still find it more rewarding than Madden. You definitely need some luck mixed with good pulls and at the very least investments if you aren't actively flipping.

While I agree with you that it is better than Madden from what I hear but wouldn't you also agree it is heading in that direction? I'm not sure if these prices are a combination of bots buying stubs or SDS greed. Think a little bit of both. I don't think the prices of these cards are quite this high without bots. FFS, I heard you can get 1 million stubs for $70. From SDS wouldn't that cost like $700? Not sure people understand how much these bots raise prices. Legit people are really getting screwed due to bots, cheaters and WBC glitch. OhChev and Sam Adams both had cheaters in their last video. One was top 50 player and one had 1000 rating. These people really need to be caught.

I actually got Stanton. Need him for Carlos but won't he go down in price in a few weeks. By far the best pull I've had all year.

I have pulled zero Ohtani's or Judge's. No chase cards and exactly 1 rare round that I can remember. Game has been out what 4 months. At one point I was also averaging 3 hrs/day. Definitely dwindled after not feeling rewarded for my time. You will not convince me you can have Beltran without those things. I am probably at least 1.5 million away. Where am I getting that? Surely isn't pulls. The game does not reward enough stubs for "just playing".

Don't have Beltran yet, but I could if I wanted to. Sitting on 1.2 million stubs but going to wait a week or two until prices come down so I don't have to blow it all now.

Investing is pretty much same thing as flipping. You are not getting Beltran without one of those unless you play 8+ hrs a day. You can argue with me all you want but I think you are full of [censored] gaslighting people.
