Obviously they give streamers better odds. When you scroll down on twitch to the 234th ranked game being broadcast to the enormous amount of 1,000 people you’ll get twitch streamers getting all the juiced packs lol. Real and true.

Is it really absurd? If you don't spend money, flip, elite or have great pack luck, MLB has turned into a game where you have to play a ridiculous amount of time to keep up. At one point I was averaging 3 hours a day and did not have Miggy or LS done and being Ohtani was around 750k wasn't even really close to either. Say you get GTA and really like it and only have a few hours to play each night. Why would you buy baseball knowing that the majority of good cards are unattainable especially if you are playing another game for several hours a day? They feel unattainable to me without trying to play another game. I think GTA taking away from baseball is a really viable threat especially with the glitchers, cheaters, pci shrinkage, cost of some LS cards, collection requirements, etc.
This has been said about every game that’s been released over the past five years. The Show still goes on.
You can't compare games that come out every year like Madden, COD, etc to a game as big as GTA that hasn't had a release in what a decade.
I guess they can continue down this route of cheaters, glitchers, heading into Madden card territory and game bugs that take away from the game. I don't think this ends well for SDS. Might be a year, maybe 10 but it will catch up to them. Marketing team going to need to be on overdrive. Yea, the one that said PCI shrinkage was fixed.
@TripleH-4481_PSN it is demoralizing. Last night I had around 50 standards, 4 ballin, about 6 deluxe, 5 headliners, and the boss pack from the paxkaloosa program.
I thing I got one Jeremy pena. And every deluxe pack was baseround fodder.
I saw a streamer (the annoying blonde guy that usually plays madden) grt 2 ohtanis in a span of like 3 standard packs.
You will never convince me streamers don't have better odds. It's as simple as placing them in a group with higher pack odds. Yes, it is that easy.

I went through a stretch probably 2021 where I was around 325 packs without a diamond. Been there, done that. Really sucks the desire to play.

It's possible to say that "we get these same complaints/threats every year" without passively condoning any of those items.
I am one of the voices that say that they should ban the exploiters and I still will confirm that threats to quit the game over issues, whether big or small, happen every single year and that most don't follow up on them.
But there seems to be a denial that this year is different. At the very least its undeniable that this is the worst state the game has been in on a technical level (excluding launch months) in a very long time.
I do agree on the threats, and I call out the absurdness of GTA VI releasing in November having this huge impact in 2027.
I will say this: the last 6 weeks I have played The Show less than any 6 week period that I can recall, except for maybe late December/January. I will 100% not preorder the game next year. However, if there is a baseball season it is still probable I get the game because I'm sure they will adjust for next year.
I would love to see their internal metrics about player engagement for this year though.

So did nothing happen to YFK regarding the wbc glitch? He did a video absolutely blasting them AND had thousands of packs. If not him who did they punish or did they completely puss out? Or are they still working on it?
Would be so nice for a huge banhammer on all 3rd party devices. Would be a completely different game especially in the higher ranks.

Honestly, if you got rid of the pitching device you would see a completely different game. Have seen people dotting with 60 control pitchers since release. With the PARS it is physically impossible to do this without a cheat device. Ryan's change-up PAR is huge. You will see people dotting that, mark my words.
But they will come in on a Sunday morning at 8am and fix a pack glitch that could lose them money. Then ban anyone that got 459 bronze and silver players from their 300 packs. Which if I may add was their mistake and they banning people for it... Pathetic.
Banning people for this isn't pathetic. It is the right thing to do. However, what is pathetic is all the bugs and glitches that haven't been fixed and letting actual cheaters play the game. This game needs cleaned up big time from all of these.
I played 4 RS games yesterday to rack up some "innings" for the rewards path. Every game I faced Misiorowski. It was painful.
Miz or deGrom, Coors field, at least 7 switch hitters. Every game in ranked.
Do people not realize there are probably thousands of different stadiums that play just as well or way better than Coors field in the vault available to download and play. Absolutely zero thought, just click Coors field. Everytime I see Coors field it reminds me of some 60 iq person subscribing to YFK and giving him money. Now, I always say do what you want with your money but I would rather burn it or flush it down the toilet. You could give that money to a homeless person, charity, etc. I don't understand giving money to grown [censored] men that don't want to get a real job.
Just played my first ranked game in several days. Didnt even last a full inning. I hardly play online at all anymore. Just seems like every game pitchers are dottin the corners all day long regardless of who’s on the mound.
I'm 100% convinced that you can thank the cheat pitching device for this. I think there are a TON of these in the game.

So I've been having trouble hitting all star on the PS5. Again, think it may be a NiC on the PS5. I just went back and played a game on Xbox MLB 23. HOF game and made the guy quit and I was off but could actually see the ball. Now, I am buying 26 for the Xbox to see how that goes. Yea, I have to start over but if I can see the ball that is trade I will make. We'll see how it goes. Way cheaper test than buying a PS5 Pro.

It’s just how it is they have immunity to these things, it’s whatever doesn’t ruin my day. ill continue to play the game either way get a sense of accomplishment knowing I have everything cheaters do legit. I just try to have fun while playing.
If they take this route it will show a true lack of integrity from this company. Everyone should be treated the same whether you're a content creator with thousands of viewers or Joe the janitor that doesn't stream. I've always said streamers are generally the shadiest people you will see in gaming. They will do anything to get views and money including cheating. Tons of streamers have been banned by COD. Not to mention streamers generally have access to the best cheats in the game.

Not gonna lie. There are a lot of dumb people.
Just like the cheating thing. There are a ton of cheaters in this game. Everyone gets caught up in the discord one but the huge majority are the pitching ones. There are tons of people that actually believe this game is pretty clean. It is far from it. If SDS actually banned everyone using these devices you would see an awful lot of 1000 rated players disappear including streamers if they actually did it. Do I think they will? No but I didn't think they would do anything against people that did the glitch either.
Not to keep pushing the same point, but I feel like today kind of proved what I was trying to say.
SDS announced they were going to take action on people who abused the exploit, and suddenly a lot of the same people who were saying “I don’t care if I get banned” started freaking out, arguing, and acting like SDS was somehow wrong for enforcing their own rules.
I ended up leaving a few Facebook groups because it was just nonstop fighting. People taking the moral high ground were getting attacked and called names. I even saw people making comments about family members from people’s profile pictures, which is just insane behavior over a video game.
Then on X, I’m seeing SDS employees getting trolled and harassed like they personally ruined someone’s life. And I’m seeing people try to defend what they did by comparing it to things that aren’t even the same as abusing an exploit or glitch.
That’s really the bigger point I was trying to make. Criticism is fine. Disagreeing with SDS is fine. Being frustrated with the game is fine. But the way parts of this community react to everything has gotten completely out of hand.
I don’t know if it’s just this community, gaming in general, social media, or the world right now, but it’s honestly pretty ugly to watch.
You can dislike a decision, dislike the game direction, or be mad about something without harassing employees, attacking other players, or acting like exploiting the game was some noble protest. It’s a baseball video game. Some people really need to take a step back.
It's the world. When you let things go unchecked for so long they get out of hand.

BS if everyone here knew about this they'd all do it. nobody is going to the TOS line by line to see if they're breaking the rules or not. It's the responsibility of the game designer not to have these glitches. Not the gamers.

It's technically not the gaming companies responsibility for people to cheat yet tons of people are doing it. Both against TOS and both should be perma banned. I don't think you are going to have too many people on your side here.

Just played some events on my wired fiber. Game is unplayable. Can't even see the ball. I'll have to dumb down my internet tomorrow and see if that works.
Can’t see the ball because of the speed or the background? May be the servers. I always play hardwired fiber but there are games where something feels off. I just always assume it’s my brain though
I played D1 and minor league ball. There is zero reason I shouldn't see and read the ball. Again, could be my PS5 NIC as usually the same thing happens on 5G. I'm literally worried about buying a PS5 Pro and having the same issue. With trade-in that would be $700. Well worth it if it worked but I'm not convinced. I have literally tried everything else. If it is the servers or P2P connection, I don't think a Pro would matter. Had me baffled for years.

Just watched a streamer look absolutely clueless for 6 innings then just start magically raining perfects.
Then next game a guy super dotting all game (yea I highly suspect that pitching cheat) he scores 15 runs. I truly think this game is heavily infested with cheats.
